Not much meat, and I dare you to find much more than just rice in the fried rice. - A disposable white takeout container from Panda Express contains cooked rice, pieces of chicken, and mixed vegetables including carrots and cauliflower. A black plastic fork is inserted into the food. The container is placed on a dark surface, with a Panda Express paper bag to the side and other food items and condiments visible in the background. The food appears partially eaten, with some food remnants inside the container.

Panda Express really used to be my go-to for quick Chinese food -- the portions were big and the service speedy. Not so much now. I was in line for 19 minutes from the time I entered the doors to the time I paid -- and that's too long! The manager was the only one filling orders which would be okay if she weren't also filling all the online orders. She was completing two online tickets for every one in person customer. The food was not fresh -- I only saw the Orange Chicken and the mixed vegetables filled while I was in line. By the time it was my turn to order the chow mein was about 1:1 noodles and veggies ... ew. The fried rice was mostly rice with no egg to be found and veggies that I could have counted. I ordered Sweet Fire Chicken as the bowl was the fullest (no bejing beef, no sesame chicken, soggy looking honey walnut shrimp), and the Teriyaki Chicken which was VERY fatty. I also ordered a chicken egg roll -- normally super yummy -- but it was soggy and had clearly been sitting there for some time. The highlight was the cashier -- Leslie. She was incredibly efficient, friendly, and made up for the mediocre service and food. The highl

Bone in chicken piece. - A small piece of bone-in chicken, with visible bone and meat, is positioned on a crumpled white paper towel. The paper towel is on a textured surface with a mix of colors and patterns, and part of a decorative metal object is visible in the upper right corner. The lighting creates shadows on the surface and the paper towel.

Sonora location seems to be going downhill in the last 6 mos at least. Yesterday we got the family deal and amount of food was fine, but the only 2 things I had were not good. Although flavorful, the Beijing beef is so chewy and doesn't look or taste like beef, almost like a mystery meat. The mushroom chicken had a big bone in the meat that darn near broke my tooth, ouch! And the mushrooms were old, slimy, and dark brown-black!

The image shows a wooden table with Panda Express food containers, a fortune cookie in a wrapper, a drink in a red cup with a straw, and crumpled white napkins. The food containers are stacked, and the napkins are scattered around, suggesting a casual dining or takeout setting.

Long wait time, but they gave us extra food as a result of being out of everything when we arrived. Food tasted good as usual. This time the drinks were very off. I've never tasted a worse drink. I got a Dr Pepper, sprite, and root beer and there was no flavor and barely any carbonation. Couldn't even drink the drinks had to throw them out.

The biggest thing was how rude we were treated. But hey all I gotta do is not patronize and speak up.

Terrible service. Seven people in line and only one person behind the counter, preparing the meals.

The Asian Cafe - Vegetarian Kung Pao Tofu Vegetable Chow Mein

We've done both take out as will as dine in and have good experiences both times, although they definitely seem to do a larger volume of takeout orders. The inside dining has not been busy either time we were there, even on a holiday weekend. It could have to do with the fact it's not directly on the mainstreet, but it is a quick drive. The inside space would be good for groups as well and also kids. The menu is a mix of chinese and vietnamese cuisine, with some added outlier beverages like boba tea and smoothies. There are vegetarian appetizers as well as entrees. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. We tried the tofu spring rolls to start, and for our entrees we had the Tofu Pho and Szechuan Vegetables. The spring roles were tasty and came with a delicious peanut sauce. The entrees came out piping hot, and they gave us the standard add ons for Pho and had sriracha, hoisin, soy sauce and chili oil to add as well. The Szechuan vegetables had a good portion and came with white rice. Lots of broccoli, snow peas, zucchini and onions. The staff is very friendly and also funny, definitely one of the things we like about coming here. A great option in Murphys and we'd happily come back in the future.

Eat in and enjoy them hot and crispy! Service was fast and they hustled to bring my wife's vegetable chow mein (4/5) and my massive plate of combination fried rice (5/5). I had enough left over for another full meal. Several beers to choose from, including a Lagunitas IPA. And of course the rooster Sriracha sauce was there for customers to add heat as desired.

However, as like with most buffet businesses that does not attract a lot of customers, their food has been sitting around. Not to mention, the portion that is out for customers is very....VERY minimal. One bright side out of all my experience is their sesame ball. I assumed, because of its size, was sesame cookie. However, it contains red bean filling, just like any regular sesame ball. Unfortunately, the size of the sesame ball is the size of a marble Aggie. for the price we paid, I "assumed" it would be just like any other Chinese buffet. Sadly, enough, it is less... A lot less than your typical Chinese buffet. I can see why there was barely any Customer at the time we ate here for dinner. I don't really care for their pot stickers, they were a bit stiff and flavorless and the noodles aren't the best either but I will always come back for their teriyaki chicken skewers. They used the large tables in the end of the restaurant for meal prepping as well so it was a very non formal relaxed home style setting. ***SERVICE: Can come across as rude but that's the typical on your face Chinese mom style attitude:) ***FOOD: It was umami heaven without going overboard! I mean this is what we come to Chinese restaurants for! Ooey gooey slurp worthy noodles, delicious chicken, delectable and crunchy veggies. Prices are low atleast when compared to the formidable bayarea prices. They have lunch specials as well which is what we went for. They come with soup, entree, carb: half and half noodles +rice or just noodles/rice. They had a hot and sour soup and I downed almost two bowls of it as the kids refused to have theirs. I enjoyed the bits of tofu in it. For my lunch entree I picked the house special chicken. And man was I in for a treat. It was thinly cut strips of chicken in an addictive sauce with jalapeños in it. I savored every bit of my meal. I sampled my family's string bean chicken and garlic chicken as well. The beans were crisp yet cooked through, just amazing!! The garlic chicken was delicious as well but came with a lot of large zucchini pieces.

We debated our options for food before continuing our drive back home and d cided to find a Chinese food place. The Arnold Chinese Restaurant fit our requirements well. My litmus test for a new place is to order beef chow fun. I was pleasantly surprised when they had it on the menu. It's something that you have to have a constant fresh source for it to have a chance of being good. Secondly, even though I forgot to stipulate "dry-cooked", that's how they prepared it. (Proper chow fun is not served with goopy sauce). The seasoning of fermented black beans was perfect! Not something from a jar, but whole, fermented blacks beans full of taste. It was pretty good, overall. The server brought our food out very quickly, hot and fresh off the wok. I had to wait some minutes while it cooled down enough to eat. When I took my first bite, I was very pleased. The taste was spot-on. Their chef knows how to cook. Fortunately, the portion was fairly generous, too, as I realized how hungry I was. My friend had ordered a few different things stir fried, like garlic eggplant and tofu. It looked well-prepared, as well. It was quite a nice surprise that we found such a good Chinese restaurant in Little old Arnold.
