I scrolled through them until I saw the picture for the Super Tripas Plate at Taco 16th Street Northwest. They looked really good, so I decided to take a chance and order them. Thirty minutes later, they were at my door. I was amazed by what I saw when I took the foil off the plate. There was a large pile of tripas topped in a white cheese, an equally large pile of caramelized grilled onions, a small pot of refried beans, a scoop of guacamole, 5 street-sized corn tortillas, and two different containers of salsa. I put a little bit of everything on the tortillas. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the flavors of the two salsas. It was the perfect tripas dinner. When I explained the issue to the manager, Anthony responded with a grin and stated, "The sandwich is not guaranteed to be warm because we are a fast-paced company." I then asked if it could be toasted, and he told me they "can't do that." His tone felt dismissive rather than solution-focused. At that point, I asked for a refund since I was not going to eat a cold sandwich. Anthony chuckled, then asked for my card. The interaction felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially coming from a manager. Chick-fil-A's mission states that the company strives "to glorify God by being a faithful steward and having a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."
