Ordered teriyaki chicken, was told they are making it fresh so it would be 15 minutes. 20 minute later I'm still waiting....go in and ask what's taking so long, I'm told "it will be another 8 minutes." I went through today with my kids and ordered 3 items. There were no customers inside the restaurant and I was the only Car in the drive though. The girl taking my order acted like I was inconveniencing her by placing an order. I got to the window and she ssnapped my total at me, I smiled and handed her my card. A min later she handed me my food and when I said thank you have a greaT night she turned and walked away without a word. IMO lack of customer service makes or breaks an experience. I get better customer service going through McDonald's and even Taco Bell (which is iffy on cust. Svc.) The food was good, though there wasn't much of it. I literally had 6 pieces of orange chicken. I'm sure there are several high school students ThaT would love to work at the new panda express, either have some trainings on cust svc or get new employees. read more

First of all, this is the worst service I have ever had from Panda express ever in my life and it is quiet embarrassing to the chain itself to allow this type of customer service. 1). Inaccurate order. I ordered a panda bowl with Orange Chicken and Chow-mien, a plate with double orange chicken 1/2 steamed rice and 1/2 chow-mien. I ordered "2" orders of veggie spring rolls which is a total of (4 rolls, two in each packet) I went through drive through. Employee repeated my order. After pulling over I was missing the spring rolls and no sweet and sour given either. I also ordered soy sauce and extra hot sauce. I was only given hot sauce nothing else. 2). The portions were TERRIBLE. When I was at the drive through, I was told by the gentleman that there was a wait for the chow mien about an 8minuet wait. I said that's fine. After patiently waiting we got our food. I opened up my panda bowl and literally there was only veggies and a lot of orange chicken. It looked like it was the left of the veggies that were just sitting in the pan. THERE WAS LITERALLY NO NOODLES. The chicken tasted uncooked and there was BIG chunks of chicken it was gross. They told me to wait for chow mien and I did only to not have any noodles whatsoever. Overall, the food was so disgusting. It was a waste of my money that I work hard for. When I went back inside to get my veggie rolls there was only 3 made and I carefully explained to the guy that we ordered 2 orders. The gentleman looked confused to as if we didn't order it. I ended up just taking 3 rolls because I was just over it. I went to look at my receipt and he didn't even ring me up. The food quality was just ridiculous, and nothing was fresh. I will not be returning back to this chain, and I will be posting on google reviews and yelp. There is no sense of urgency and quality. RETRAIN YOUR COOKS OR GET BETTER MANAGEMENT. I am writing this review after my second visit to this particular Ripon, CA restaurant, both times through the takeaway lane (drive-thru). The first time I ordered here on March 3, 2020, they were out of several entrees. I felt this was odd because they had been open since 9:30 a.m. and it was just now 11:00 a.m. They were NOT busy. I was able to drive right up and place my order and there were no cars parked in front of the restaurant. I didn't have to wait very long because I compromised and ordered 3 of the same entrees so I could hurry up and get home. The food I received was hot, portions were good, but I had to go without my "Black Pepper Chicken." Yesterday, March 7, 2020, was another bad experience, which began when I was cheerfully offered their "Firecracker Shrimp." I said "yes" but was promptly notified that they didn't have any. So odd. Things got worse when I had to keep repeating my order. Not because he couldn't hear me, but because he kept repeating a totally different order back to me. I felt that this was very odd, too and it seemed as if he was being silly. After the third correction, I pulled up to the window and was informed by a different employee (female) that there would be a 15-minute wait for the "Black Pepper Chicken. " Once again, they didn't have any, even though it was now 11:05 a.m. This time, rather than order 3 identical entrees, I agreed to wait the extra 15 minutes for the single entree and pulled my car around to the front and waited...and waited. I placed my order at 11:05 a.m. 30 minutes later, I received my order (11:35 a.m.). The guy who brought my food out offered to comp me with a free entree but I declined, fearing that I would have to wait even longer for something that they didn't have. Despite this rather disappointing experience, there were two good things about it: The order was correct and the food was hot. However, the customer who was parked next to me did not receive a correct order and one of his entrees had to be returned. My disappointment continued when I got home and noticed that once again, there was no teriyaki sauce on the teriyaki chicken. DRY as a BONE. I have been to several different Panda Express locations, such as: San Leandro, San Jose, Tracy, Modesto, and even little old Riverbank. This was the only location that doesn't put teriyaki sauce on their teriyaki chicken and they don't give you any sauce on the side. They just give you a container full of dry chunks of dark chicken meat. I'm really not sure if I will ever go back to this location because it seems as if they don't know what they're doing and they appeared to be totally and completely disorganized. I would comment on their other entrees...but they were out. Sad. UPDATE: Today, March 10, 2020, I decided to give this place once more chance but they failed again. Miserably. I will NEVER come back. My order was totally wrong and the portion that I received was very small. I'm sorry, but you cannot depend on this restaurant to get your order correct or to have what you want without having to wait a very long time. It would appear that the leadership here is sorely lacking or perhaps even non-existent, and it would also seem that the employees are inept or just poorly trained. They seem like nice enough people but they are truly ill-equipped to do what they're supposed to do. If you absolutely abhor confrontation or having to expend the time and energy necessary to do something as simple as getting something to eat, please avoid this location and opt for something else. It's just not worth the headaches and frustration. And I have to inform all of my friends, family members, and co-workers to stay away from this place. It's really not worth it. Terrible! read more

2 out of 3 times I felt happy with the portions and my order was correct. My wife's order has been wrong or missing something the 2 times she's ordered from here. We've only used the drive thru and will probably not be back. Based on our experience and other reviews they tend to skimp on the portion sizes, this is very disappointing, especially when you get home and open your box and see half of what you expected. read more

My boyfriend and I came here three times around 9 (They close at 11) and every single time they didn't have certain items and when they do have rice or chow mien, they tell you it's only enough for one plate. The girl taking order from the drive thru is very rude. She rushes you to order and when you get the food, the order is all wrong. Don't go here, they have no customer service and they surely don't care when u tell them so. Eat somewhere else. Oh yeah the 15 minute wait they tell you, forget it.. I waited exactly 30 minutes for my food and when I went inside they tell me it's another 10 minutes for my Teriyaki chicken to be done. Worst Panda ever. Customer "service" is awful. We have given this place so many options because it's local but this is just a joke. The drive thru food always tastes old, they don't prepare online orders or answer their phone. And no, they are not that busy that they couldn't. We placed an online order that should have been ready by 5:25. We got there at 5:10. No one acknowledged my husband as he stood next to the online pick up. At one point he was told they were working on it, but were not. I called during this time 5 times. No answer. Again, there was no line. Customers, but no line. We finally got our order at 5:40. Came here tonight and once again very disappointed. They almost never have all the entrees and their portions are super small. They are always out of something and the food is always old. Tonight we got food and let's start off by saying the customer service sucks. Tania helped us tonight and was really rude and unprofessional. We felt like we were bothering her by even ordering food. Then we were eating and found a hair in our food . We will not be back for awhile. We were super happy about getting a panda in town but we will stick to the panda in Modesto. We Went here when they first opened since we live right around the corner and everything was great food service everything. We went recently despite my brother stating it was the worst panda he's ever been to and he will be driving to the one in Manteca. My sons food was all broccoli no beef his noodles were all cabbage. They gave us 1 cmm of sauce for our soggy egg rolls and even soggier Rangoon's. My son wouldn't even eat them. We were super disappointed and now know why my family is willing to drive 15 min out their way to get panda and to be honest I'm going to make the same drive as well. Super poor quality of food especially coming from a Panda Express. We had such high hopes for this family favorite in our neighborhood but during these times I don't have money to waste on food just trying to give my kids a once in a while treat. read more

Very disappointed in my take out order. Second time I visited the Panda Express in Ripon and they definitely need to improve the quality of their food or they will not continue to receive business from local residencies. First, the order was incorrect. Ordered an egg roll and received a veggie spring roll. Secondly, the teriyaki chicken had a burnt color, was fried out and could only receive a packet of teriyaki sauce. Thirdly, the chow main was full of cabbage. Fourthly, nothing was hot only luke warm. Definitely, not a pleasant meal. This Panda Express definitely needs to improve the quality of their food as it does not compare to the one in Modesto. I just got done leaving this Panda because I went through the drive thru and said my whole order then the lady read my whole order back. I get up to the window they forgot a whole plate so when I let them know I give them my card to pay then when I saw the receipt I was charged for someone's meal worth $25. I then eventually parked and went in, when I told the girl about what happened she gave me attitude about it. The nicest group of people the food is fresh and hot and now that I am a OTR trucker a hot meal means everything. The facility is spotless. This is the worst panda I have ever been to. I have made the mistake of coming here several times because it is close to my work. Each time it is not really busy but they have made me pull out front each time to wait for my food. I'm the last time I even asked if it was available without waiting they said yes. Giving 2/5 because one time I had good service. I've been here three times over the last month, the last two times they have forgotten something and I had to remind them after they walked away from the window. This past time, we had good orange chicken and good Rangoons, but that is all I have good to say. The chow mein was dry, chicken egg roll was burnt, the portion for the main dish was incredibly small, and they gave us a sauce cup filled only 1/10 of the way, not even enough for a single egg roll or Rangoon. The staff isn't polite either. They were rude when I had reminded them of still needing my drink, or previously, my credit card which the cashier pulled out and set down, rather than handing to me. Epic fail! Tried to order sweet fire chicken at 8:30 this evening was told they were out of that and 2 or 3 other types of chicken dishes. Ordered the green bean and chicken as a last option, was told they had just under a serving left so they would add a little more orange chicken to the entree. I also order cream cheese Rangoon's. The chicken and green beans was less than two table spoons(not even remotely close to a serving), they left out the Rangoon's all together. I called to talk to a manager but was told she wasn't there she was on a break. They said they'd put my name on a note so I could go back in another day and order. I have been to this Panda 3 times since opening. The first time, I ordered a plate. Person taking my order didn't seem to know how to take an order. I would say what I wanted and there would be long pauses and once my order was repeated back to me I would have to correct it. But I get it, new restaurant - maybe they had never worked in fast food before. Food was not that great and halfway through I found a hair in it (different color than mine, was mixed in the food) Second time, I ordered a bowl with broccoli beef and chow mien. My chow mien consisted of almost all vegetables, then I received only three pieces of beef- it was mostly broccoli. Once again, food didn't taste that great. Third, and final time, I ordered a plate for myself and a coworker at 11:00am. I get to the order speaker and the employee tells me they do not have a full menu and proceeds to list the only four entre options they have available right now. I ordered 1 plate of chow mien, broccoli beef and kung pao chicken, 1 plate of chow mien, black pepper chicken and kung pao chicken, 1 order of veggie rolls (they had no chicken) and 1 order of cream cheese rangoons. I received the food pretty quick, and the iced teas. Once again, a complete fail. Food was cold, chicken was questionable- I really couldn't even tell if it was cooked thoroughly. My rangoons looked like they were cooked last night. The only thing I enjoyed was my drink, but I didn't enjoy wasting $25. read more

We were really excited to get a Panda Express so close to home, but we've tried their food a few times now and it's just not nearly as good as any other Panda Express I've ever been to. The fried rice was just ok, the orange chicken was dry, the chow main was REALLY dry, the beans in the string bean chicken were way overcooked and seemed like it had been sitting for a long time, and the chicken, although not dry was just not tasty. We were hoping in the beginning it was just because they were new, but we've given several chances now and the food is not improving. We will likely go back to traveling out of town for our next Panda fix. read more

I had a bowl with white rice, teriyaki chicken & power greens on 2/13/20. The rice was cold. About 3 hours after eating I got very sick, violently vomiting. I felt like I was going to die. I had to miss a family funeral the following day because I still wasn't feeling well. This was my second time eating at the Ripon location and both times were less than.
