Be prepared to spend 10+ minutes in the drive thru for not even hot food. And ok service

The service was ok but The portion of food put in the bowl is ridiculous 5 Small peices of orange chicken in a bowl that was half full of chow mein...we paid almost 10 dollars for a few bites....at other panda locations they fill the bowl up....I think a lack of experience of proportions is the issue at Ripon panda....I feel I got ripped off read more

I went to this Panda Express May 26, 2026 and now I have food poisoning. Avoid this place.

Bad service. Bad food (got food poisoning). Bad atmosphere (reminded me of where I grew up). Look for another place to eat than here

Panda Express - Very nice server.. - Chinese Near Me - Ripon, California

I have been to this location several times with satisfactory results. Today, the day after thanksgiving wasn't great. My wife and I were babysitting our 3 grandkids and panda seemed like a good lunch idea. At 11:20 am there were mainly empty containers in the line. The worker advised me if i wanted something else it would take about 5 minutes. I asked for Beijing beef. I asked for Beijing beef and she said she would have to ask. I said never mind and ordered broccoli beef. The food was terrible and tasted old. There were no workers preparing anything else until I saw them come out the back room as I was paying. read more

The family and I stopped at this Panda Express in Ripton on 08/08/21 as my two amazing nieces were hungry and didn't want burgers like the rest of the family. During the time we came DRIVE THRU WAS ONLY OPEN. THE OPTION TO ORDER INSIDE AND DINE IN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. There wasn't really a long time about 5 minute wait to order our food. The girls already knew what they wanted and so did I. Since dad was driving he ordered for us. I got Kung Pao Chicken with Super Greens as pictured. My bowl was fine. I like more vegetables more than anything. However, the nieces got kids meals only two - one each which both had Chow Mein, one teriyaki chicken and one with Orange Chicken, with bottled drinks. Very simple order. After we paid they told us to park which was seriously like a 30 minute wait or longer for 3 quick meals. When I opened the kids meals to see which box was who - as pictured was how we got it. It seriously looks like they threw the food in the box due to rushing. SO RIDICULOUS to this to kids meals. Plus it looks like they put little to no meat in the kids meals. The wait, the way they delivered it to the car, appearing to just throw the food in was just so unnecessary. I understand if they were busy but don't let the quality of the food and customer service suffer. My nieces were highly disappointed and so was I. Panda Express come on! Teach your employees the standards. I will never return to this location. I was tempted to have my dad go back through drive thru (as their doors are locked to walk in) and remake the order but by then it was already like 45 min of waiting for tossed up food and probably would have been even more of a wait for them to remake it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. OTHER FASTER OPTIONS NEARBY - WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. read more

What a joke! I only ordered a medium broccoli beef and the price was just under $10 dollars for what I considered to be a rather disappointing amount of food for the price. When I got home I was even more bummed to find that I had just way overpaid for a tiny bit (2 ounces max) of meat and a disproportionate amount of broccoli. If this lame Chinese fast food costs as much, if not more, per ounce than any local Chinese spot I think I will make sure my money is better spent supporting a family owned business that actually cares about their customers. Sad to see that Panda Express is trying the Chipotle business strategy of charging more for less. read more

I guess I've learned my lesson. Wont be eating here again. The food is just way too salty and full of sauce. It is also way overcooked. Just a soggy salty mess. Looks like it's been sitting all day. The managers really should head over to Tracy. The Tracy food is fresh and cooked very well. read more

Came when there was no customers, they didn't have anything I was looking for on top of the sh... attitude of the employee whom appeared to be the manager too.... I ended up ordering just because I was in hurry but the portions were also down to almost nothing . Looking at the reviews it does look like this Panda Express is a crap hole. Don't waste your $$$ or time here ! Wish I could give a minus -1 star. read more

5 Stars for Devany! She was so nice, polite, professional and had a great smile and attitude. Thank you for making me smile! Decent sized parking lot and clean restaurant inside. It was early (about 10:30 am) so not all of the entrees were out yet but Devany asked if I wanted something and they could make it. What I wanted was available so we were good. Portions are always generous and the food is consistant. I got half and half (rice / chow mein), sweet fire chicken and beef/broccoli. Thank you Devany you are an asset to this location! read more

I have a gluten sensitivity, as well as other food allergies and avoid eating out, but am traveling so do the best I can. I didn't check Panda website assuming the employees would know what was gluten free. The server wasn't trained in how to answer the question and clearly did not understand the importance of it. After consulting with other employees, she said maybe rice, and oh vegetables don't have gluten. I know sauce in the vegetables is an issue. I was hungry, and my issue isn't celiacs, so I figured just the teriyaki chicken with no sauce would be okay. I noted they put a packet of sauce and fortune cookies in my bag. After a stomach ache and feeling ill hours later looked it up and rice and drinks is all that is gluten free at Panda. I get it is my issue and I need to research every restaurant prior to eating there. BUT if white rice and drinks are the only option on a menu they need to post that in every restaurant and make sure the employees know how to answer the question what is gluten free here! Needless to say, I won't be returning to Panda. Found a food warmer for the car at a thrift store and will just use that while traveling because Panda isn't the only restaurant that doesn't accommodate those of us who can't help that our bodies can't just eat anything. read more

Giving them a 3-very inconsistent. We ordered food to be picked up - app gave us a time and we sat for over 25 min waiting. At least 2 of the items we had ordered 15min earlier we're not ready. I Maybe short staffed but certainly we're not managing the food prep very well. I am also not sure I saw anyone wash their hands in between preparing food (mixing the noodles and putting food in containers). read more

I was surprised to see such low reviews. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. The staff greeted us immediately and offered some samples. I tried the sriracha and firecracker shrimp. They were pretty good, not as spixy as I expected. I got a plate with half rice and noodles. It was pretty tasty. Paid $6+ for some egg rolls that never ended up in our bag. Also, the chicken teriyaki was 95% fat, 5% eatable meat. Worker was sweet but food was terrible. Won't be stopping at Panda for a bit. read more

I swear this is the worse Panda Express ever!!! I'm not one to write reviews, food quality is very poor food is either not cooked all way through or burnt or cold af . around 9 o'clock they never have anything they close at 10pm? Customer service isn't the top tier neither. With prices going up n customers spending their hard working money the employees should show more care for there jobs especially put some love into the food. Should have seen the empty parking lot as a warning sign...terrible service and long wait. Had to wait for Beijing beef on 2 of my 2-entre plates ...also askd for Angus white rice bowl...got Beijing beef so asked to replace. This is the replacement...more veggie than beef and brown rice. When I asked for more beef and said I'll pay they wanted to charge me almost $7. I asked why so much and they said it's a premium entre. Didn't get extra beef...never coming back. read more

We like Panda Express and we're happy to see one in Ripon and with a drive thru! We went through the drive thru today for dinner and got a 3-item with rice and a 2-item with chow mein. It went really fast and they got our order correct. Everything was good except my chow mein had A LOT of cabbage! Way, way too much with a few huge pieces. I had to pick most of it out there was so much. I'm hoping it won't be like this every time. I posted a picture showing just how much cabbage there was. read more

Panda Express is never my go to unless it's for a quick meal. Today was one of those Sundays. It was a great experience though I must say. It was very busy inside but I was in and out in less than five minutes. Everything on the bar was fresh and packed. The employees were all working together beautifully for a great experience for customers. All the tables were clean, check out was a breeze, and customer service was great. read more

Suits me right, I should have looked at Yelp before making a "quick" stop for lunch. First, update your menu if stopped carrying items "a few years ago". Then maybe learn suggestive selling instead of silence. I also appreciate the fresh food but 15 min was longer than I would have liked which is why I went through the drive thru. The girl that came out with my food was a sweetheart which was the only thing that kept me from making it a one star review. read more

Been here twice figuring it would get better after the first time however it did not. They're very stingy on the portions both times we went, also this is the only Panda Express where they won't put Teriyaki sauce on the Teriyaki Chicken they give you one packet. Its too bad because we go to Panda all the time in Manteca or Modesto and it's our Granddaughters favorite. We live in Ripon figuring this would be convenient but not worth the experience. read more

No rating. The food tastes like it's been sitting there all day. The flavor of the orange chicken is different then the Manteca location. I think the chicken was also over cooked or something. Very crunchy orange chicken with no meat just deep fried batter. We've tried going four different times since they opened, have had the same issues and the last time felt sick after eating. My kids will have to give up on their orange chicken. It's so bad. read more

I tried to order for delivery using my venmo as payment. I got a notice that they couldn't fulfill my order. So, I went to the drive through, had to wait for eggrolls, they forgot about me and I sat for 20 minutes in the parking lot. I went to the door and they gave me a couple of extra egg rolls for the mistake. My husband and I were traveling though this area but were really leery about stopping at this location after reading several of the reviews. We decided to still give stop and check them out. I must say that we were very pleasantly surprised and glad that made the decision to go there. It basically looked just like all of the other nice, clean locations that we've gone to. It was brightly lite, lobby area and tables were very clean along with the front counter area and cool prep areas! Menu items seemed to be well stocked and the employees were all so nice, friendly and welcoming! We received all of the items that we had ordered and didn't have an issue with leaving the restaurant and finding that they forgot to give us the sauces that we'd asked for or something like of that nature. They were definitely efficient and friendly. We would highly recommend this location if you're in the mood for Panda Express! By the way, We had the teriyaki chicken and a couple of egg rolls...all of which we enjoyed. They even remembered to throw in a couple of fortune cookies that we always look forward to as well. Today was my first time ordering from this location. I place an order online, the app indicated the order would be available at 1:10. I arrived about 1:12 and waited for the customers in front of the line. Once it was my turn I gave my name and I was here to pick up my online order. They hadn't even started it. The young lady was apologetic she told me she would get right on it. She offered me a free appetizer or drink since my order wasn't ready. What was really even more disappointing was that the sides that I had chosen were out, I had to wait longer for them to be cooked. I don't see the benefit of ordering online if you still have to wait. My order was the black pepper chicken, which had little to no meat on it. I think they must've scraped the bottom to get that order filled. The kung Pao chicken had so many chilis it was extremely hot. The free appetizer, chicken egg rolls, had no flavor... my companion called silage. Overall disappointing. However, the employees were friendly, helpful, and working hard. read more
