This is regarding Panda Express in PALESTINE. My son and I went to eat at Jalapeño Tree. There was not enough parking, so I parked in Jalapeño Tree and I told him to park in Panda Express. Our plan was to go eat at Jalapeño Tree, go to Panda and get apple pie rolls and then go by Starbucks. We came out after eating, no more than 35-40 minutes and his car was gone!!! I went inside and asked a man sitting by the window if he had seen anyone break into his vehicle. He said he didn't think so. I then went and stood in line to ask Panda if they had seen anything and I noticed a couple of female employees looking at each other and laughing. Then the man walked up to me and said he just remembered that he saw a vehicle being towed. It hit me. They were laughing because they had it towed. I asked to speak with the manager. I asked her what had happened and she said since he parked there and went to jalapeno tree, they called and had it towed. She said they have had multiple towed, and will keep doing it. I told her there are over 25+ empty parking spots. I could understand if there were no open spots and we were taking away from their business. I even told her were planning on coming there after. She was extremely rude and confrontational the entire time, and said that we should have parked at Jalapeño tree and then came there. Then she looks at my son and said, "and you can quit looking at me like that and rolling your eyes." If you know my son, he is extremely kind, and wouldn't be disrespectful. I said, "I'm going to stop you right there. Do not speak to my son like that. He is upset because he is 16 and his car was just towed." She kept smirking and I said, "I feel like you're getting some sort of enjoyment from this. I saw you chuckling and smirking at the other coworkers." She said no, I am just following policy. I asked if there was a sign. She said yes, it's posted. I told her I never saw it. I asked several people if they have seen it, and no one else had. You wouldn't see it unless you're looking for it. I asked her to speak with her manager, and she said she wasn't allowed to give his number. I told her I would wait and let her call. She called and left a voicemail. During that time, she kept smiling and looking at us and walking by us eyeing us. It's as if she wanted to argue and be confrontational and laugh at us. I was very upset over the whole situation. We waited there 15+ minutes and waited until the manager called back. I spoke with her and she said she would research it. Her manager called back yesterday. I asked if they would refund the tow bill of over $300 and he said there was nothing he could do. The only thing he did was apologized for this happening, but stated it was Panda Express's policy and that they would continue to enforce the tow policy. I asked her what tow company she used and she told me to go out and look at the sign. I said you just called, you know who it is, please tell me. I was shaking I was so upset at this point. She said I think it's Ferris's or something. I said you know who it is, you are just trying to be ugly. I feel like the manager at the restaurant did not treat my son and I with respect. She was completely unprofessional and confrontational. It seemed like she got enjoyment from the whole situation. I was a regular customer at Panda Express, but after this incident and being treated so poorly I will never eat at Panda Express in Palestine. Advice to any of my friends, if you go to Jalapeño Tree don't dare look at Panda Express parking lot for a spot to park. On a side note Jalapeño Tree was delicious and had a great ambiance; and we will be eating there again!!! read more
