The hamachi is great! The food is good, but one time we gave our server a $100 tip and the gal that…read moresat us came running out as we were leaving, LITERALLY started chastising us saying, "you didn't leave a tip!" It was embarrassing! When we dine in now, which is not often, we SPECIFICALLY request not to be seated in her section if we see her there ... I presume she is family because she still works there ???

Prices have gone up, but unfortunately the food quality has declined. The lo mein was especially…read moredisappointing--the meat had a squishy, almost slimy texture, and the noodles were oddly hard, like they had been sitting out too long. The sweet and sour chicken was stringy, and the sauce had more of a jelly-like consistency than expected. Even the crab cheese wontons missed the mark, with a thicker with an unusual texture. The dumplings were perhaps the most off-putting--the filling had an unpleasant taste and texture that made them hard to enjoy. We've been loyal customers for quite some time, and while the last few visits were disappointing, we kept hoping it was just an off day. Sadly, it now seems like a consistent decline rather than a one-time issue.

Canton Palace - Gross dried food ALL over the curtains right by our table. So dirty, no way it just happened. Definitely cumulative.

They're all served with fish sauce and fresh veggies. I also love their super bowls that you can order with chicken, tofu, shrimp, or pork. They're served over vermicelli noodles and fresh veggies. They're a little pricey, but it's great food! The dish I would not order again is the flaming soup. It's described as a hot and sour soup in a flaming pot with shrimp and vegetables. We ordered it to try something new, but didn't care for the pineapple pieces in the soup. Service is always great regardless of whether you're getting food to go or dining in. Youngs Cafe has a very casual vibe and it's always busy so be prepared for a little wait time during the typical dinner times.

From the moment we walked in - I'm recovering from recent shoulder surgery and dressing isn't easy so I didn't look my best - I discreetly asked the hostess if it was ok for me to come in looking kinda grungy and she sweetly told me I looked cute. Then a very friendly young man led us to our table. The place was packed, there were a lot of families with children as well as older folks like my hubby and me. Our waiter was also very friendly. Hubby and I usually each order soup, then we order 2 appetizers and one entree to split when we go to Asian restaurants. We ordered the same here. The egg drop soup was heartier than we expected, it had corn and little bit of chicken in it. It was delicious. Our appetizers, spring rolls and wrapped shrimp, were delicious and they were served on beds of noodles with sliced carrots and cucumbers around the edges of the plates. We had to ask our waiter for carry out containers before our entree even arrived. Our entree, pork with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and oyster sauce was delicious....just like everything else was. And since we ordered too much we had enough left over for dinner the following night. Hubby and I usually go for Thai or Japanese when we're in the mood for Asian cuisine and we have our favorite spots in FoCo for those (I prefer Thai, he prefers Japanese). We now have our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly!
