The staff here is constantly doing things like: a bowl of broccoli with no beef; teriyaki chicken with no sauce; let you order tea but after you pay, no tea is available; shouting at each other about what food is available and what to start cooking. First of all, $40 for two plates of fast food and two drinks. We ordered on DoorDash to pick up our food, we asked for soy sauce, and they did not give us any at all. We also ordered rangoons and they were burnt to a crisp as well as our spring rolls. They ALSO did not put teriyaki sauce on my TERIYAKI chicken. A vegetarian friend highly recommended PE's Beyond Chicken orange chicken dish, so I eagerly visited the Broadway location, the one closest to me. When I entered most of the workers ignored me, a couple looked at me curiously. Finally one told me only the drive-through was open. I'm not sure why a restaurant would rather keep customers lined up in idling cars, but I got back in my car and went through the drive-through. They were out of the Beyond chicken. So I returned a couple of days later, bypassing a number of decent restaurants to get there. I tried to ask the young woman who attempted to assist me about whether any vegetables come with the Orange Beyond chicken. She couldn't seem to grasp my question. After the third try she turned me over to a slightly older woman as though she might be a translator. She told me no veggies, but suggested a couple to add to my clamshell, which I accepted. As she was scooping it up she made some comment about chicken and I emphasized I wanted only faux chicken. Apparently it's lucky I did as she discarded that batch and began scooping up the correct item. I ordered two of them to go. I'm glad I did, because I now have one to offer as evidence that I'm not exaggerating: the faux chicken was NOT as hard as a rock; that would be an exaggeration. I made the mistake of going inside to order at the N. Broadway, Fountain City location around 2:15. There were 6 people working and no one would take my order. One guy stood in front if me several times as he chatted with a coworker. Finally, I asked him if he would take my order. The interior looks like a bomb went off. Tables and chairs stacked up. Unclean. The manager came up looking for something. I asked him if he was the manager. He ignored me and walked away. I asked another employee who is the manager, and she went to get the same guy. First I remember when school buses or tour buses would show up 30 minutes before closing at McDonalds I hung out at. Of course the employees would go oh no and joke but guess what they fixed the food and did their job. This location is the worse for not fixing food close to closing. It's your job do it. I was given the choice of three different items because it was 15 minutes before closing. What's happened to customer service? I have never seen so many people who go to work and are ready to leave when they get there. They count down as soon as they clock in. If you are open you should fix what the customer wants. Half a star would be most appropriate. Came to this location at 8 PM for a late dinner. On the door it says they close at 10 PM, so we should be good, right? Wrong. More than half of the food was gone, no chow mein, only old fried rice and they scraped the bottom of the the rice steamer to give me dried up white rice. We are told that this is it no other food is being made. Fine- it's late and we are hungry, we make our selections out of 5 options available, order drinks and are then advised no coke, no orange and no straws. Ok. Then we ask for soy sauce, "we are out of that, too". I'm sorry, why are you even open? You have no problem charging me 30$ for a barely edible meal and you don't have the basic essentials to serve your customers? I am really surprised that when I opened up my bowl with broccoli beef and mixed vegetables there was one I count one piece of beef in that whole bowl. The mixed veggies were really bad cabbage that had not been cooked long enough. The broccoli was good. I did not qualify for a napkin. So, for $6 and a drive through the drive-thru you get screwed with nothing to eat but broccoli. I don't think I'm going to go back. read more

Tried PE again after being away for over a year. Again the same problem. A container full of rice and very little meat. I ordered the two meat plate. Teriyaki chicken and broccoli and beef. I eat at panda express very often, but the last few times the chow mein has been awful the cooks are putting way to much cabbage and celery in it. I've continued to go back and try again but it is still so full of veggies rather than noodles and I just can't do it anymore. When I asked about it I was told its what the recipe calls for but I've ate it there plenty of times before and the chow mein was actually chow mein and not veggies. I know chow mein has veggies in it but when there is more veggies than noodles there is a problem. Go easy on the veggies. And another thing is the evening employees are very disorganized and was caught talking about a customer when I was there Saturday night and one of the employees was a manager with glasses. read more

I have never ever had Panda Express, ever. This was my first time cause I was craving some chow mein, but I was extremely disappointed once I got home. The chow mein I got with my plate was soooo dry and over cooked that it was almost inedible. I got mushroom chicken and Beijing beef. The chicken was very rubbery and actually reminded me more of tofu than chicken in its consistency. The Beijing beef was actually very good though. It was the only reason for giving 3 stars. The sauces on the meats were pretty good too. In the future, if there is a next time, I would hope I catch them at a time where the chow mein hadn't been sitting out for awhile. read more

Once again we tried this place and once again a disappointment! Tables were not cleaned and the food was not very hot. There were not many people there. One employee was taking his break & was laying his head on the table. Today I was at the store ordering my meal in the dinning area. While I was ordering my food the meal prep representative named shay was filling my order and about 10 orders or more-at the same time When my order was completed she placed both her hands on top of my meal to compact it into my plate and proceeded to close the lid. I asked her right away to throw away my plate and prepare another since she placed both her hands on my food. She started to yell at me and tell me she had gloves on and it was not that serious. Is she for real? We're in the middle of a pandemic and she is touching a bunch of food with the same gloves. Then she is placing her hand on my food with the same gloves.Then she proceeded to advise me she was not gonna help me anymore. During all of this the manager never came over and spoke to me nor acknowledged what just happened. He just spoke to her for 1sec and continued on his way. I am not a huge Chinese food fan but my husband wanted to eat here so I figured I would give it a try. I was delighted to find out that you are able to taste the entrees before selecting. I settled on the Shanghai Beef and it was full of flavor and very tender. I had the fried rice with it which did lack some flavor on its own but was good with the beef. The restaurant was busy because it was lunchtime but the lined moved quickly and efficiently. The dining room was a little messy due to the business but they did work to keep it clean. The only thing I did not like was the Ice Tea holders did not have lids on them so anyone could have put something in there. I will be back for sure. read more
