Pretty straight forward, order at the counter, they bring your food. So while they are cooking it you get your drinks. Hubby went for lunch today, it's close to his work, at Turkey Creek. He loves to try new places, He had Mandarin green tea. Wonton soup, he said there were only 3 wontons but the broth was delicious, he could taste garlic, and lemon grass! His main dish was Mongolian Beef, with veggies, and he wanted fried rice, instead of white rice. He said it all was delicious, crisp, and seasoned so well, he did not use any other condiments. First off don't go here. Food wasn't cooked and I had to cook it myself. That bourbon chicken was not even bourbon and the Mongolian chicken was just plain white chicken with sauce over it not even cooked. I had to put the food in my own pot to cook it. Food was incredibly mediocre at best. Paid $41 for two meals , two drinks and four crab Rangoon, the crab rangoon . They could not refund my money because I paid with a credit card. Came in for the crab ragoons, so good. I tried the pork egg roll and the bourbon chicken. The portion of the bourbon chicken was fair, but the chicken wasn't firm, kinda mushy. Not my favorite but it had great flavor. The pork egg roll was crisp and very flavorful, especially with the sauce they give you with it. So good. Would definitely come back and try a pork recipe instead of the chicken though. read more

Received meal via DoorDash, one order was missing. I called and was rudely informed they already knew of the issue and were working on refunding me. The orange chicken (more like chicken crumbs) I did receive had little to no sauce and some pieces were dry and chewy. I ended up spending more than I wanted ordering more food from elsewhere. Came in a couple Tuesdays ago and tried the Mongolian Beef with noodles instead of rice. It was hot, fresh and came out super quick. Super friendly service by the manager (I think his name was Andrew, maybe?). He brought us our food and checked on us to see how everything was. He was also cleaning tables immediately after other people got up to leave and wishing them a good afternoon. Definitely not something that I see most places. Was in town to see friends and stopped in for some firecracker chicken and spring rolls. Food was on point and servers were very friendly.

Each entree had good flavor: the Mongolian beef, firecracker chicken, and the Thai basil cashew chicken. A bit of heat with a touch of sweetness. The main problem is the ratio of rice to meat. About 3/4 rice to 1/4 meat (with a few vegetables thrown in). For the price, the pile of rice sucked up what flavor there was from the meat, so it was disappointing to leave hungry. Horrible would be an understatement. Let me start by saying we eat here at least every other month prior to COVID. We had gotten a to go order 3 weeks ago so we were glad to eat in the dinning room today now that it's back open. First clue that this was not going to be a good experience should have been the demeanor of the lady taking our order. She was very rude and acted like us being there was a burden while trying to rush me through the process by trying to give me a total after each item I ordered. Now the big reason for the one star. As I stated before, we eat here fairly regularly which would lead one to believe the reason we do this is because we enjoy the food; which we do. HOWEVER, today was a major exception. We both ordered the honey seared chicken with brown rice and both were equally awful. The rice was dry and stale while the chicken was old, hard, and had no taste. The no taste was obviously for the chicken that we could chew which was less than half. We both gave up and ended up leaving over half our chicken and all but two bites of our rice uneaten. I'm not sure if they are trying to use old food to save food cost, but my recommendation would be to stay away. At least until things het back to semi normal. read more

I should have listened to the reviews. Spoiled green beans that first tasted like they were fermented, but in later bites I realized they were off and just plain sour. You can't hide questionable food with more sauce, which seems to be the way things work around here because the drunken noodles were overly salty/saucy. The white rice was dry and overcooked squishy at the same time. The meat in the broccoli beef was tough. The pad thai was way too salty, too sweet and spicy, no tang or tamarind flavor. Okay, I know Knoxville isn't good for Chinese food. I was expecting your average Americanized stuff, but this place was not tasty or fresh. Ugggghhhh ... Went to this place with my daughter today & had terrible food. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad that was advertised as having "mixed greens". The picture even showed darker greens like kale, spinach, romaine yet the entire salad was iceberg & big chunks of yellow bitter iceberg lettuce at that. I can't believe I paid over $9 for this. When I mentioned it to the manager, he basically said "I'll tell corporate". After having great experiences at the PeiWei near RSW in Fort Myers, FL, we thought we could expect the same here. Unfortunately this was not the case. Since moving to the area, we have visited this store twice, once at the restaurant and once via carry-out, and both were highly disappointing. First time, the fried rice was terrible and the ambiance was pathetic... including almost all of the vacant tables being dirty. The second time the Orange Chicken was dry and the chicken pieces poor and the chicken in the Chicken Broccoli was very tough. Sad really because the store in Fort Myers is so good. Might give them one more chance, but will have to wait for the right deal to do so. read more

Pei Wei is a poor mans PF Changs. Same company and similar food. However, faster service as you order when you arrive and then get your own drinks. You have a number to place on your table then they deliver your food. Overall a much quicker method, but less dinning experience and smaller dinning room. The Honey seared chicken is similar to the Crispy chicken at PF Changs. Even when crowded, you can still get in and out to make a movie across the street. read more

I walked into this place and it was packed with people. We stood in line for about 10 minutes until they asked if there were two people waiting. We got to go to the front of the line and order since there was a table for two open in the restaurant. We ordered the Pei Wei Spring Rolls, the Thai Blazing Noodles with Chicken, and the Japanese Teriyaki Bowl with Chicken. We were given a number for our food and told to place it at our table when we sat down. The egg rolls were waiting for us as we walked around, meaning they had been sitting back there for a minute and they were not sitting under a hot lamp or anything so by the time they got to us they were cold. The egg rolls weren't bad but not the best I have ever had. The sauce served with the egg roll was not good at all. The entrees arrived while we were finishing our egg rolls. They both were overpowered with onions both diced and sauteed. They were not cooked long enough because I had onion breath for hours after eating this food. I thought the food was okay but definitely not great. It was similar to a Wok Hay. The Wok Hay of Turkey Creek. It was not worth it and I will not be back. On our way back from Knoxville to Chattanooga my wife and I stopped at Pei Wei in Turkey Creek for a meal. This was truly one of the worst Chinese meals we've ever had. She had the Pad Thai and I had Broccoli and Beef. Her meal was bland and tasteless, while mine was over-sweet with a mere scattering of overcooked broccoli and shoe leather tough beef. I loved Pei Wei when it first came on the market, but have observed its continuing decline. This couple will not go back anytime soon. BTW, after having eaten Chinese in a number of Tennessee towns and cities, I'm convinced that the South and Chinese food are incompatible. P.F. Chang's comes close to being good, but that's Americanized Chinese. read more
