me and my husband did not have a great first experience at this cookout, we wanted a burger and decided we would try out cook-out, first the employees did not give a good first impression, It started at the intercom when my husband started giving his order to a lady at the intercom, she was talking to someone else while he was giving his order and then kept having him repeat it only to have her talk over him. when she repeated the order back to him it was wrong so then a male came on the intercom and my husband had to give order all over again. When the male repeated the order back to my husband it was again incorrect. Finally after getting the order corrected (we thought) we get home and the whole order was wrong. I do not recommend this location at all, they need to be better organized and their staff need to pay attention and listen so they can get the orders correct the first time. This applies to the Pigeon Forge, TN location only. Its new but not new enough not to have worked out the kinks. Twice I've tried it and that was enough. The trays are assembled so sloppy and obviously without any care. The burgers are inedible. My burger literally looked like its creator took all the ingredients in his/her hand and packed it as if he was making a snowball. It was a complete messy blob of mushed up ingredients wrapped in foil. I ordered cheese balls and onion rings as my sides. I received 3 onion rings and 5 cheese balls. I get its cheep fast food and all that. But at least make it edible. I've been to other locations and have not experienced this. Only the Pigeon Forge location. I went to try out some of this food people raved about. Part of my order was the Chilli cheese fries ($2.99 on the menu board). Not great but ok. Tonight I said I would try them again. Make it a fair tasting. I ordered the Chilli cheese fries only and the young lady at the cashier hits me with $4.58!!! I ask why and she said because the Chilli and cheese cost extra. I replied then why list them at 2.99 on the menu board (mind you I bought them yesterday as well). She just shrugged her shoulders. Did not offer to ask the manager why is there a discrepancy. No, too much to ask. What I did get (and did not want) was a "take it or leave it" attitude. I was hungry so I took it but it will be my last visit. Luckily I travel the U.S. of A., coast to coast very frequently. So much so I live in airports because of my job. I meet plenty of people and they will all hear about my experience here at this "fine" eatery establishment should some of them not use Yelp. By the way, who made the math calculations when they decided to split the drive thru into two lanes for "faster service". Theoretically sound IF YOU HAVE TWO SERVICE MENU BOARDS/ORDER MICS AND NOT JUST THE ONE. Cars have to still jockey again for position because those "two faster lanes" funnel back into a single line. My first time going to a Cook Out, being from the north. It was late night and our friends wanted some food. It's pretty much the only food option open after midnight. The drive thru line was long but moved quickly enough. I ordered shakes for me and the husband and cheese curds and onion rings. The price is cheap for the amount of food you get. The cheese curds were better than the ones we usually get from Dairy Queen. They were missing the dipping sauce but I guess I know to ask next time. Very fun late night experience! read more

This is in regards to your representative I spoke to this morning at corporate. I complained about the prices in the Pigeon Forge, TN location being much higher than the menu with prices online. I was told you do not post prices because of the different locations. The website I checked said PF prices as of August 2023. My bill was approximately $10 higher than it should have been. I also asked about a detailed receipt with prices and she said I would just have to ask at register. Her tone was very condescending and it is safe to say that if this is the type of worker at corporate we will no longer be a customer at Cook out any longer. Good food, good price, pretty fast vast menu and they have CHEERWINE. The burgers and dogs taste about what you'd expect at a cookout. I'm not much for the fries, both locations (this one and one in NC) I've tried they are not quit done enough for me. Not crisp. They're still good though. The burgers and dogs can be done almost anyway you like with damn near anything you want for condiments. Want a chiliburger? Slawdog? They'll fix you up. The slaw is really good too, just sweet enough to suit me. Anyways, for the money it pretty much blows any chain I can think of away, not to mention the variety. I doubt if they'd ever go national with the current menu, but that's cool. I doubt they intend to anyway. As for the Christian thing, yes I've seen some scriptures (like on my latest cup hasProverbs 1:7 God Bless America, no the actual scripture don't say that, but the cup does) and that don't bother me a bit. I wonder if people that go to Oriental or Indian restaurants understand some of the things they have and what the meaning behind them is. When I go to eat, I don't care about that stuff. I just want decent service and good food or which Cook Out has. This isn't the place to get a gourmet burger nor if you like to be with the great unwashed masses. That's why I like it. I flew into Knoxville with my fiance back in January to visit some friends and family. My friend picked us up at the airport and we were starving!! Airline peanuts...not very filling... This was my first time at a Cookout. It is fastfood. I'd say the fries are just ok. The burger had a better flavor than a lot of fast food. The menu is huge! I mean hotdogs, corndogs, quesadillas, wraps, burgers, chicken, fish sandwiches, and barbecue. The special was for $4.99, you get one main, two "sides", and a drink. I got a regular burger, but you can also get a double burger. Most of the mains were sandwiches. I remember you could also get two hot dogs as a main. The sides were fries, chicken nuggets (you get three), hushpuppies, a wrap, a quesadilla, etc. Those are some interesting sides. You can upgrade your drink to a milk shake for a $1. The food is good, but the customer service is terrible. I ordered a regular bacon cheeseburger without tomatoes, and I told them twice that I did not want tomatoes. My order was wrong, so I got back in line. The person at the mic cut me off when I nicely tried to explain what happened and had an attitude with me. I got to the window and instead of making a new burger, the manager asked for the old burger back, claiming that he would make me a new one. Instead of doing this, he picked off the tomatoes and gave me the same burger. I am extremely disappointed by my experience here. I understand that mistakes happen because I also work in the service industry, but I expected a higher level of service from this establishment.
