Panda Express - decent food needs a little more flavor - Chinese Near Me - Florida City, Florida

I am SO angry. I love panda express and I spend ALOT of money ordering from there. I signed up with the app and every time I have a discount to redeem there always an issue in store. I had a birthday offer.. free small entree with a purchase. I bought small orange chicken and a refresher drink and coupon wouldn't work. Staff kept GUESSING why it didn't work. Then one perfusion said, you need spend like $20 to get it free. I was like, n o, that's not accurate. Then another Payson said, I need to buy a MEAL to get the free entree, I got upset and left. Then today, afternoon, I ordered online using the birthday gift and ordered a small side of rice and it went through and worked. So they ruined my bday not knowing how to redeem anything in store. Then, in evening, I placed another online order for pick up tonight. I sent my boyfriend to pick it up. I had received t ext saying order was ready. He got there and they asked him 5 times who order was for. They said it wasn't ready. Then they insulted him, asking him if he was going to steal someone's order. The audacity of them to say something like that when he had screen shots from me with order and order number etc. Then, he finds out it was ready the whole time sitting on shelf rack behind cashier, and says they need remake repackage because it was sitting like 20 minutes there. He ordered 2 refresher drinks and was waiting for those too. Lady came and gave to him.. asking.. you're still here?? And slammed the drinks on table. What kind of service is this??????? read more

I visited this location around 12:15 PM on a Monday. There were only about 2-4 people in line, so I expected things to move quickly. When I got to the counter, the manager taking my order had an AirPod in her ear, and I had to repeat my order five times before she understood me. Nothing I ordered was ready, and I ended up waiting about 25 minutes. When I went back to the counter to check on my food and asked if it was almost ready, the manager just looked at me and said, "What?" still with the AirPod in her ear. The service felt inattentive and unprofessional. A little focus and courtesy would have made a big difference. read more

Fast service. They loaded my plate full!!! Very clean quiet building. With a polite staff but I do feel the flavor of the food was very bland. Needs salt and spice. Chow mein needs so sauce or oil. read more

4 star just for the generous serving of rice or entree. They give enough in place unlike other places where they are stingy to fill up. Also this place is huge. Biggest Panda I ever saw. Just an incident that my beef broccoli entree only had broccoli and just 1 small piece of beef. Could have happened by mistake as well but we realized after reaching hotel room. read more

I always want to give this location the benefit of the doubt but it ALWAYS lets me down. As others have stated, they are always out of everything. I place my orders online to avoid this but when it's my time to pick up it's never ready or they don't have what I ordered ready to go yet. Mind you I always give them an added 10min buffer on-top of my pickup time. I only have problems at this location. The one on 120 & doral are spot on. This is a hot mess and the staff always seem bothered to help you or answer your questions. read more

I went back on 12/11/21 around 7pm. Still very busy. They had fewer entrees available. The same cashier for last time and he is on point and the way he finished the process makes me not concerned about the wait, confusion, or rush of the ordering process. He makes sure everything is in order and straightens out any errors as he finishes up for payment. read more

I was in Florida City for other business and wanted something filling but also on the fast side. I went to a local strip mall, about 2 minutes from the hotel, where I found the Panda Express, Wing Stop and Jimmy John's. The line was short with only 2 people in front of me at the time. Everything was in stock and looked like it was just cooked and was not sitting around for very long. I ordered the noodles with Orange and Teriyaki chicken. The Orange chicken was cooked well and not overcooked like some places do, and the sauce was the regular orange sauce they use, Tasty with a little spice. The Teriyaki chicken was cooked very well and was so tender it could cut easily with my plastic fork. The noodles were good, but just that. Something to just go along with the rest of the meal. My biggest complaint about this meal was that the teriyaki sauce comes in a packet and isn't very warm. So your putting cold sauce on hot meat and it brings the taste of the chicken down a little! Never mind that we ordered ahead and STILL had to wait an extra 15 min. The portions are not what they should be. The 3 entree order barely classified as a 2 entree. And the 2 entree orders were BARELY that They didn't include the receipt or the sauces, and over all just borderline rude. Someone came in off the clock and went behind the counter, talking to and hugging some guy. I almost said something be cause the guy working still had his gloves on as he was cooking and hugged her! Like what? Eww. I'll never go to this location again. read more

What a joke, the staff is about as friendly and helpful as your local small police department when submitting a public records request. If this staff could read and write it would be Floyd Mayweather. If this staff could understand what I'm writing, they would be very upset. Spent 30 mins on one customer while an entire line of people waited, their food getting cold after being plated. Took another 25 mins to cash her out. She literally left the line and went to the bathroom (assuming she was wiping w their resumes) while people pointed their orders already to cash out. Multiple people walked out. I'm sitting here now and the line has grown to 30 people. I STG, this place- the staff, and the management are a joke. read more

This is the fourth time I've gone there and they had no spicy mustard. The staff looks at me like I'm crazy when I ask them for spicy mustard. The last time I was there, ask for a manager and she was nonexistent. Again I ask for a manager tonight no manager. No mustard. I'm never gonna bring myself my family or any of my friends or eat again. Because I can't seem to get their head out of their ass and have that restaurant supply properly. I would not recommend anybody go there at all ever. read more

This is the 3rd time I come here because it is close to my house. In hopes that one day the food will one day get better. I never leave reviews but the management and food is absolutely terrible. There is always someone complaining at the location and the food is always absolutely terrible. Today I got food and there was 2 hairs in my food. I would love to be able to come to this Panda more often. I go to Panda's very often but this is honestly a disappointment. Today they were missing like 4 main courses and had no sides. read more

This Panda Express has the worst customer service. Their food is always out, which triples your wait time ! We asked for the broccoli beef on our last visit but more broccoli than beef was put in our bowl (literally a whole head of broccoli and kid you not like 4 small strips of beef) so we kindly asked the worker if she can add more beef and she rudely replied with "this is broccoli and beef, NOT just beef" I can't emphasize enough on how these employees, who are getting paid, should make customer service their priority! I will definitely not be coming back to this location. read more

Extremely disappointing! The service is super slow and they are always out of everything! There is always so much confusion about ordering. This has been the worst service ever! The cashier staff is beyond lost with orders yet alone slow. I spent 45 minutes just waiting, how sad! Deserves no stars!!!! read more

This place sucks!! There's no nicer way of putting it, I've been here multiple times and each time I'm left waiting for at least twenty minutes for my food. They're always out of everything and the lines pile up instantly. The food is always fresh because you're left to wait until it's done cooking, which is sometimes bad because I've received raw teriyaki chicken. 0/10 read more

45 minutes wait for a line with 7 people on it. Honestly i could had been served in a restaurant by now. Also the tables remain closed while everyone else in miami is already sitting inside. Keeping the tables closed with the whole covid excuse is just a way to hire less employees and force people to do take out. If you see more than 3 people in line skip this place. Completely unacceptable. It is not as if the place is cheap neither. Yeah so unless you have at least 50% of battery on your phone and 1 hour to spare in line better go somewhere else. read more

So, this location has had its issues. Now they have people working that fo not know what they're doing. With 3 servers, the line is really long. Then you have people waiting for missing items and THAT LINE is long as well. Then, along with the long line, the servers stop to fill orders for people who are not here. Finally, they are ready to take my order. Things move really quickly then. I am able to pay and leave. I guess you're wondering why the 2 stars? The food is decent for the price. I was able to get a bowl of just noodles and an order of spring rolls for less than $10. It was hot and tasted good. Hopefully they can figure out the wait and service issue. read more

In town visiting the national parks and decided to stop at panda for a quick meal. Definitely not the place for a quick meal at 6pm. Once we got to the counter and attempted to order our usuals we were greeted with what has become the standard "I'm sorry that's sold out for the day" we sorted to backup choices. Then we get to the checkout and wow, I have never experienced a check out like this. The cashier just grabs plates and calls out your order to pay. Standing there for 10 min with our order next to her but she kept skipping it along with the order behind ours. Finally get to our order and she seemed frustrated that we were even there. After that it was off to the tables to relax a bit and eat. Well we had to clean a table first as did the couple behind us and everyone else that was sitting down. read more

These people literally will handle cash while wearing the same gloves that they then go to touch your food/utensils afterwards. I asked the worker nicely if he could change his gloves since he had JUST touched cash and he started to argue with me instead of just changing his gloves. This is definitely a health violation and this location should be inspected. As I stood in line, a cockroach fell on me from the ceiling. They will prioritize online orders instead of the people standing in front of them in the restaurant. When I asked for the manager, they would not acknowledge me and ignored my request. I do not recommend eating here as it is unsanitary and you can get sick from cross contamination from the bacteria from handling money onto your food. THIS LOCATION NEEDS A HEALTH INSPECTION AND NEW MANAGEMENT. read more

I ask a different staff for my order and whats the point paying ahead and ordering if the lines moves faster. At exactly 850pm I finally get my order. Probably the worst thing you can do, when searching for Chinese food, is to go to a fast-food chain restaurant. It kind of works for places like Manchu-Wok, but it goes quickly downhill from there. Panda Express is one of the Arby's of Chinese cuisine. I'm sorry, cuisine implies that the food is in fact edible. I assure you, the food from Panda Express (any location) is not. For starters, they tend to have a placard for a dish that is not available. In my experience, about the only things available are the rice or the fortune cookies (which are sold in bags like potato chips). Beyond that, you'll have to wait while they pretend to cook your order. One of my main dishes when I eat Chinese is Beef and Broccoli. The Panda Express excels at making this dish a flavorless concoction of something beyond further description. The "Beijing Beef" is a sticky, salty mess. The "Orange Chicken" will leave you wondering where the orange flavor is, let alone the chicken. And there has only been one other place, in the entire world that I have visited, that can screw up fried rice (that's Makoto's in Melbourne). Fried rice isn't that hard to make, but the Panda Express rice is not only lacking flavor, but it's undercooked or been sitting around drying out for three or four days. I won't comment on service - it's what should be expected with fast-food. - beyond this: the "cook" gave me the dirtiest look when I ordered the beef with broccoli. Afterall, it was on the "menu" (via placard over an empty pan), just not available without cooking. He continued to give me this dirty look the entire time I waited (turning around to do so) to when I paid. I wouldn't have been surprised if he ran out to copy down my tag numbers so he could call the DMV and get an address for the assassin. read more

This place is a joke and I'm done. Three people in line and it takes literally 20 min and when it's my turn they have only one dish ready and the staff is so rude ask me a question and I went to respond and the rude Asian manager just looks over and barks at the employees and cuts me off. Not one dish with beef not one. Also forget yummy veggies because there always out. Bad quality and bad service this place needs help. Waste of my hard earned money. I will try my luck at the local Asian takeout, don't waste your time here. Smh read more

This place is ok for Chinese food, but I find it lacking taste and value for price. I ordered today 01/26/22 and I did not enjoy the food. The orange chicken wasn't tasty, the sauce was not what I'm used to when it comes to orange chicken. The chow main was bland and tasteless and the fried rice even blander and flavorless. I've had better Chinese food from other Chinese estaurants and they give you more for your money. read more

I have recently taken myself and my kids for dinner twice in one week! Early July 2016. They love the Fried Rice and I get the Noodles. They have several new dishes, but they are spicy so the kids don't like it. My kids always get the Orange Chicken and they love the Teriyaki grilled Chicken...so good! The young girls working there are not the friendliest and they do the least amount of work to just barely meet the standard of giving you your food, nothing extra. Not sure if that's their culture established from upper management or their lack of experience (youth). At any rate, it's about the fresh food prepared right in front of you. They do small batch at a time; and sometimes you have to wait for a dish to be cooked. It is the best when it jus comes off the fire. Enjoy!! read more

Ordered online and it said our meal would be ready at 5:30. It's 5:46 and the food is still not ready. There's been maybe 3 customers since I got here. Oh, they offered me a free drink when I got there. If I had known it was going to take nearly 20 min from the time I arrived (almost 50 min from the time I ordered the food) I would have just waited until I got to the restaurant to order so I could've refuted the payment. read more

I love their food. Sometimes, the specific food I want is not ready but it's understandable. The waiting sucks but the food is worth it.

Oh hell ya! This is the panda I know. I was offered a be my guest card to try their food again and it's WAY BETTER than it was like weeks ago. Seriously, they even served me super fast. Placed an online order that was supposed to be ready at 425pm. I arrive and head to the register and wait for the cashier to come and ask my name. About 5min past and he does but the food is not ready yet. I use the restroom and when returning the gentleman asks my name again, still no food. Another man working asks the cashier about me to which he respond "I don't really know". So the guy comes over and asks my name. Still, no food. He finds my ticket and begins to make my food at 435. I watch my food be placed to the side, assuming they were waiting for something to be made, but I was never informed. At 445pm I ask the cashier what the hold up is on my food, "idk it's over there". He decided to walk over and ask the person serving the food. They they decided to put the missing pieces on my plates. There is no structure at this establishment. People in line left because they just took forever. They are very unprepared. I would not recommend this location to anyone!!! read more
