Sooooooo when I lived in Auburn I used to order from here ALL THE TIME!!! The same thing... chicken on a stick, veggie Lo mein, and shrimp egg rolls. I was literally a regular customer. Anyways I was in the area and decided to visit my old spot *sigh*. Of course I ordered my regular and honey chicken with shrimp fried rice. The young lady who took my order was extremely nice and had great customer service. I was super duper excited to see how it would taste because of course, I've had it so many times before and KNEW it was going to be so good. While waiting for my order I did use the bathroom and it was very clean, cleaner than I expected. And you can definitely eat-in. Chicken on a stick was on POINT just like I remembered. The veggie Lo mein was super dry and not good at all. I took about a spoonful of it and threw it away. The shrimp eggrolls were okay. Super smaller than I was used to, but hey inflation, right? I'm giving the 3 stars because the honey chicken and shrimp fried rice was good and the chicken on the stick. Will I be back???? Probably not. It doesn't taste the same :-( read more

Solid 4 star rating! Got the sesame chicken (which tasted a bit like General Tso's chicken bc it had a bit of a spice kick to it) nonetheless still good. We also ordered the crab ragoon (not pictured) they were ok. Not very much filling inside and tasted a little old/cold. Also ordered two egg rolls. Pretty standard, but also smaller than average. This place does primarily Chinese take out business, but our family dined-in on Saturday night. The restaurant was fairly busy, and seemed to be popular. We were very hungry, and left satisfied and full. But, we didn't think this place was very good. The hot and sour soup had an interesting flavor that I didn't recognize. The beef and vegetables were greasy, the orange chicken over cooked, and the shrimp fried rice was bland. The best dish we had was the house chow fun mei. It was pretty decent. They offer only counter service, and it was poor. The young man taking orders was quite abrupt and showed no interest in wanting to be helpful. Food orders were coming out slowly, and customers seemed to be growingly impatient. Keeping it real with my rating, I would not go back. I can see the need for quick, inexpensive Chinese food near a college campus. I cringe, but Panda Express (yes, the mall kiosk turned stand-alone building franchises) would probably be a better choice. read more

I gave 2 stars mainly because the staff was efficient and polite and the restaurant looked clean. That said, I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and it was not good at all. This restaurant is clean, service is friendly, and the prices are very fair. However, the quality and flavors left a lot to be desired, which the price doesn't make up for. I'm not sure that you can really expect a whole lot when you get a meal plus egg roll for $6.95, but our food was very subpar. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Szechuan Shrimp, and Crab Rangoon. I personally adore Crab Rangoon, but these were far too sweet and lacked any kind of cream cheese or crab flavor. The Szechuan shrimp was okay, it has large shrimp and a good variety of vegetables, but was pretty bland-reminded me of mall food court Chinese. The Mongolian Beef was actually so bad that my husband didn't even eat more than a bite, the Beef was so soggy and poor quality, swimming in so much sauce that it looked like a soup. Both of us ordered fried rice which was really just yellow rice, not crispy or fried. My advice would be to save your money and spend a few more dollars to get better quality at Mandarin House or Taste of Asia. read more

For anyone who is used to Asian food, this is the place in Auburn to come to satisfy those cravings. The menu options are vast and portions are generous. If you come here with 3 people, scale down to 2 dishes because even though the pictures look small, the portion sizes are large. We got the rice noodles, BBQ pork chow mein, and BBQ pork fried rice. Within the past two months, a friend and I have both ordered Panda to-go and have BOTH received the wrong order with the same incorrect entree. In October, I ordered kung pao chicken with vegetable fried rice and received some sort of peanut and vegetable meal with hardly any chicken. The scarce amount of chicken that was in there was extremely fatty and resembled short segments of noodles (that's the best way I can describe it). My friend ordered beef and broccoli with fried rice and received the exact same order I did. She couldn't eat it either because the chicken was so disturbing. My go-to for Chinese in Auburn, Panda isn't going to blow you away with quality (it's no five-star joint, in rating or fine dining scale), but it has its upsides. 1) Lunch prices - you can hardly get cheaper from fast food. $4.35 for a combo? Oh yeah. 2) Pretty good portions. 3) Fast. Fast fast fast. 4) Following on 3), you can come in at 10:20 when they close at 10:30 and be out by 10:25 with hot, freshly-cooked food. 5) The youngish guy who works almost every night is astonishingly fast and accurate taking orders and ringing them up. On the phone or in the restaurant, I've never had to repeat myself (even places like Burger King anyone sometimes does), and I've never been rang up wrong (I can count on one hand the number of local places this has never happened). Dude knows his menu top to bottom. 6) While dimly lit, the place always feels clean. Don't go out of your way, don't expect big-city quality, but stop in if you're hungry and want a fast, decent bite. read more
