A couple things to note: I'm not quite sure why it takes 30-40 minutes for our food when every Chinese restaurant in the US gives the standard 10 minute time frame??? Nonetheless the House Lo Mein is very good and gives ample meat. The sesame chicken is good. The crab wontons are a little underwhelming; I wish they offered Crab Rangoon. The crab wontons are definitely missing the crab it's just fried cream cheese. Something to note also is that the small wonton soup is tiny! I took a pic of a table spoon next to it... probably won't order that again. I think our family is good ordering from here for a while. We got our Chinese food fix. As far as "ambience" it's a restaurant that looks like it's a dark house. The people are very friendly so that helps. read more

We placed a to go order over the phone. When arriving, I'm not even sure you can eat inside. There didn't seem to be a front door entrance. We were not very impressed with our food. I had beef fried rice and it was just rice and meat. The meat was a very weird, chewy texture that I was not a fan of. My husband had a similar opinion about his food. I have been eating at China Palace since 2004 when it was located at the heart of auburn hotel. It has always been my favorite and it will always be the first and last place I eat when I visit Auburn. They even catered my wedding in Chinese take out boxes, it was fantastic! This place is okay. The service is friendly and they cook everything fresh. I got the General Tso's with fried rice and eggroll as well as the pad see ew. The pad see ew portion is really big which is a good deal for the price. The general's had good flavor and the fried rice isn't typical. It's really white rice with soy sauce cooked with it but I really enjoyed it. It complements the food really well and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach. read more

One of the more underrated Chinese places in Auburn. Went here for lunch, service was great, prices were low and the food was really good, you definitely get much more than what you pay for! They even have a liquor license, which to my knowledge is kinda rare for Chinese places here. I got the Kung Pao Chicken, which comes with an egg roll and fried rice. I also had their steamed dumplings. Everything was great, with the steamed dumplings being some of the best I've had. Their egg rolls are unique, looks kinda like a spring roll. Overall the experience was a solid 8.5/10, couldn't really ask for more! I honestly hope more people will go here, they deserve a lot more business. read more

A good Chinese food place to go! I like their Mongolian beef. It was not as sweet as that in some of other places. I also really like the noodles they use for Lo mien. The portions were decent and reasonable priced. But the green bean dish was expensive--only a dish without rice... But overall, I really recommend this place in Auburn. read more

This is the best Chinese food in the Auburn-Opelika area. I've been a patron of them for over a decade through 3 different locations. Family run. I've read the reviews about people butt-hurt over closing times and delivery policies, but these fail to focus on the food, and fail to consider the operational challenges of being a "mom and pop" shop (probably people who have never worked in restaurants and if they did, were terrible). Try the Steven's lo mein. Or the Sizzling chicken. Or the peppery hot and sour soup. Bottom line: nice people and affordable, delicious food in a strange and unique hideaway. read more

Drive past this place every day and literally never see anyone there, but decided to give it a chance since it was just down the road. The woman who took my order on the phone was extremely nice and repeated my order to me, something that rarely happens when ordering take-out from a Chinese Restaurant. Upon arriving the exterior was even worse up close than it is from a distance. The food was honestly the worst Chinese food I've ever gotten. Bland and unexciting. After paying for delivery of our meal we were told that it would take an hour to get our food, then my husband suggested to come pick it up since there are only a little over 2 miles away, and they said that it would not be done any faster. Then they told my husband it would be an hour and a half to deliver. We waited two hours for our food. After calling and asking about it they said that they would have it delivered when it got here it was fresh and it was good but to have to wait 2 hours to receive our food was very disappointing. read more

Best Chinese in Auburn... And they deliver! Very reasonably priced lunch specials, though I'm a big fan of the diverse dinner menu. Friendly staff too. Most of what I've tried so far has been delicious, though I would skip the sweet and sour chicken. Chinese wise, I really enjoy the sesame or honey chicken. The starters are also a must... Try the Thai rolls or the seaweed salad! I actually prefer Thai food over Chinese so I tend to order from their Thai dishes. Healthy size portions no matter what you get. I just moved here from California and have had a good amount of Chinese and Thai food, and the food here missed the mark. The chicken didn't seem fresh, the dishes were fairly greasy, and the coconut soup tasted like mostly coconut milk without spices. Take out was pretty slow, too! read more

Don't eat the house lo mein while watching the Walking Dead. Tastes great but not a good experience. Honey chicken a little too sweet for my taste, guess I should have actually read the name of the dish. Teriyaki chicken phenomenal. But you know what makes me happy happy happy like Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty? Happy Family.
