This is our favorite Mexican restaurant, so delicious! Love getting mine with a little pineapple too.

I ordered through Yelp and it said it would be ready within 15 minutes or so. I decided to give it some time and gave 30 minutes. When we got there the food wasn't ready and we had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes to get our food. If this was the first time then I would give it another chance, this is like the fourth time this has happened and it's consistent. Food is good. Service is excellent. Staff is friendly and they remember their regular customers. Manager is involved and on the floor, every time I've been. Really good place and a staff full with native Spanish speakers so ordering was easy! The staff never let our drinks go empty and super helpful when ordering as well as being supper attentive and friendly! Even with our big party our food came out quickly and served warm and supper tasty! Another thing to note is how nice and clean the bathrooms were. Tried this place because the rating was so high but after having, I am not sure why. Ordered the Diablo wings and there was no spice whatsoever, wings themselves were okay. Got a burrito as well and it was not very flavorful. Luckily I had some siracha on hand that made it better. Food was just okay overall and definitely doesn't warrant the current rating. read more

I door dash this place for the 1st time. I ordered the carne asada tacos and some guacamole. It came with rice, beans also chips and salsa. It was very good. Wish they would have used a 2nd tortilla for the tacos. They were falling a bit apart. I am sure it was because I didn't eat there. Would order again or even trying visiting the place. read more

We were greeted warmly and served quickly. The chips and salsa were good. We both had street tacos, one chicken and the rest asada. There was plenty of meat on them and the flavor was great. Usually street tacos come with 2 corn tortillas layered, but these were single tortillas, which fell apart as we were eating them. We were hungry after hiking at Uwharrie and left pleasantly full. Pancho Villa's has some atmosphere. It has a sunroom along the front (it may be designated for waiting instead of dining) and a large dining room that is divided into two fairly equal sections. There is a floor-to-celing fountain behind the host stand and several Aztec-style murals on the walls provide eye candy. The far right section of the restaurant is a bar. The menu is large and offers a variety of options. I'll tell 'bout those that I've eaten. I had dinner there once. I ordered a shrimp dish with sauteed vegetables - I will have to note the name the next time I'm there. The shrimp were nicely cooked, though not fantastic. The best part of my meal was the vegetable quesadilla. The salsa and chips were good. The salsa has a nudge - not a kick - and the chips were nicely fried. I think I paid $20 for the two dishes. The second trip was at lunch and I had chili verde. The dish was made with pork. It was ok, but not particularly flavorful. It was also affordable - about $6. My third trip was also at lunch and was quite cheap - $4.50. I had the chicken chimichanga. It was fine - again, not too flavorful and a little dry/burned on the ends. The beans were good - better when I added salsa. The chips and salsa have been consistently good and the raw veggies - tomatoes and lettuce - are fresh. The lunches may not set you aflame with spice or passion, but they are good and the prices are great. read more

Service was a little slow, but everyone was very friendly! The food was amazing! My husband can be very critical of Mexican places and will drive to Concord to get "good Mexican food". But even he said that this was the best in Albemarle and competed with what you could get in Concord. read more

My issue is that the pricing is outrageous for the portions you are given. For example I ordered two cheese dips and was charged 9 dollars. We were given a sample size and it was extremely frustrating. When we confronted staff about this they proceeded to become angry and show us menu prices which did not match the prices we were charged. We will not be returning. read more

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant around. They have a very large selection of dishes, the prices are very resonable, and all of the staff are very friendly and attentive.
