This is one of my favourite places in the world. That's a pretty bold statement, I'm aware, but this Indian in Oldfield Park is full of nothing but happy memories for me. Whilst I was a student living in the area, my friends and I would frequent Panahar's pretty much weekly. The service is impeccable - the owners remember regular customers and quite often give away free goodies if you're getting a takeaway. The food is amazing - just so, so tasty. The chicken tikka korai in particular is immense and everything on the menu is incredibly priced, considering the quality. On top of all this, they have a BYOB and no corkage fee policy, so you can just nip across the road to Threshers and buy a bottle of wine or 3 before you head in. Unsurprisingly, the place can get pretty packed, so it's advisable to book in advance. I still get pangs of longing for a meal at Panahar's to this day, it's almost worth moving back to Bath for.
