He was super knowledgeable about the menu (we found out he is also a cook there - what a great combination!) and very attentive and just sweet. We all ordered very different things and everyone was happy with their food. I just got chicken wings as I follow a low carb diet and was happy to find they weren't breaded. I will see about 8 wings and a soda water cost me almost $30 so I won't be back any time soon but the wings were baked perfectly and the hot sauce was truly a medium!

I'm a bit of a creature of habit and I generally go for a dark beer but they've been out of my favourite Nitro for a while but I've found options. The fries are lovely and crispy and always hot. We usually get two tacos to share between three of us - beef brisket and beef barria I think it's called. They are completely different taste profiles and the accompanying sauces are delish. It's basically on an outdoor patio that's been screened in with plastic with lovely space heaters that keep everyone warm. There are a few seats inside as well but I've never been there. The ambiance is lovely - it's always buzzing with people coming and going and it's often a bit of a wait for a seat but once sitting down you aren't disturbed except with the lovely staff delivering food. Every staff person I've encountered has been friendly and while super busy seem to really enjoy being there. Wide variety of people too - people from the ski hill, pre theatre people, after work people. And the best part? Dogs are allowed!!

Sorry Smoke 'n Water. I have nothing good to say about you…read more Friends made reservations after confirming you would have music on a Saturday night. Got there..no musician... we were sat at a table beside 6 incredibly LOUD people who I swear didn't stop yelling and shouting for the two hours we were there. Not your fault, I know, but had you asked us if we would like to be moved...we would have said YES! But your staff hardly ever came by. The reason we were there for two+ hours wasn't because we just didn't want to leave...but we were held hostage by the slow service, food delivery and receiving of the bill. I finally had to walk to the desk to get it. Food was not great (or good). The cheese dip was more like a cheddar soup and didn't even stick to a chip! The rubbery calamari on a he salad had no grill marks on it at all. Maybe boiled? There was a piece of bacon in the salad ...which tasted good. Not in the description. Worth the one star I'm forced to give you. My sangria tasted like watery wine and the glass of riesling wine my husband received was pink. Two birthday desserts were comped but my dessert was literally dropped on the plate. Top of cheesecake fell off the bottom in the landing. Creme brûlée is serve with a golden caramelized sugar topping NOT a pile of aerosol whipped cream. Coffee at $3.50 was barely warm, old and bitter. That's how I feel writing this review. Bitter. I really liked the high ceilings and the water view. I was able to sit anywhere I liked as it was quiet the morning I came and had the choice between the breakfast and lunch menu. I decided to try their classic burger and got a beer with it. The burger was decent and my server was kind enough. The fries were good and hand cut. There were only a few tables when I was there and I found the service and the food a-ok. There is nothing wrong with this place, but there wasn't anything spectacular either besides the view and ambience. I can't quite put my finger on it and perhaps I would have had a better time here if I came when there was live music or more people. But if you're around the area it is a nice place to just grab a burger and a beer and hang out for a bit.
