Truly unique gluten free crust made of potato and polenta base that gives a somewhat fry-like dense taste that stands out. This really tasted like eating pizza on a base of fries and it was delicious! I got the Pesto Pedaler which was a great combination of flavours that I have never seen put together before. I would highly recommend it on any crust. Unfortunately I was short on time so I ordered take out and as a result can't comment too much on the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, I did walk in to pick up my pizza. It was a chill vibe with friendly staff and a smooth pick up experience. I'd definitely go back for a cool date or hang out with friends. Trip 2: Came back a another time and ordered 1/2 FREAKS & GREEKS and 1/2 THE SASQUATCH. Exact opposite to above experience. First time visiting friends in Cumberland and we ended up going to Riders two nights in a row as our first night there was so amazing!! Firstly the atmosphere is warm and inviting and very family friendly. Most tables had small children and staff were very interactive and smiling. Our wee one slept in her wagon (beside our table I might add) through our whole dinner, which was very kind of our hosts. First night we shared the mussels, arancini (because when I saw them pass I couldn't resist) and a fennel and citrus salad. Amazing combo - everything was delicious, even the foccacia that was served with the mussels. The second day we shared some olives and a huge pizza - half vegetable and half squash - can't remember names - both were delicious but the squash pizza was probably the best pizza I've ever had! Looking forward to my next trip to Boswer for many reasons - but a big one is to enjoy this amazing restaurant again! read more

A little disappointed with this pizza today. We ordered to take out after getting great reviews by someone who had it at the restaurant. We got home and the toppings were missing so had to turn around and head back. By the time we ate the pizza was cold. Toppings were scanty according to our daughter who had it before. BlueberryBriePizza is phenomenal!! If you're feeling adventurous, it's a must-try & a favourite. Somehow they make the blueberries blend very well with the brie cheese. The Sasquach was awesome too but the jalapeno sort of drowned out the overall flavour. read more

First time visiting Cumberland and after spending a fascinating hour in the wonderful museum we were very lucky to be referred to Riders Pizza. We had the arancini balls as a little starter and they were divine! Ordered three pizzas the blueberry Brie, pear and bacon and my favourite the classic margherita with a little twist of fried capers. Their crust is scrumptious and the flavour combos have been carefully crafted to work so well together. I'm only sad it isn't closer to Nanaimo. I was very much looking forward to eating at Riders Pizza during a recent visit to Cumberland however my treatment by the staff turned me off enough to make me leave. I stood in the entrance for some time waiting to be acknowledged and finally asked a server if I could sit down. She became confused and flustered by my request and then asked another young lady for help. This young lady asked me to sit at the bar because I was alone and they were saving tables for larger parties. It was hot indoors and there were at least 2 - 2 person unoccupied tables outdoors on the patio. When I asked for one of these tables I was refused so I left and ate on the patio at the excellent and welcoming brew pub across the street. When I was done my dinner the 2 tables at Riders were still empty. Not impressed!! read more

After skiing and mount Washington we landed at Riders - amazed at the creativity of the pizzas and the fun, casual, modern atmosphere. The Gluten Free crust is awesome (made fresh daily from polenta and potato). This place is a real gem. Loved it. read more
