It's good to know there's a Mexican bakery on my side of town. Their prices are really cheap and you can get those little white loaves (I wish I knew what they were called) for about fifty or sixty cents. I love to just eat those with olive oil and spices - they are so fluffy and light, yet crunchy on the outside - mainstream American supermarket bread doesn't come anywhere close. I echo Blair L. in wishing I knew which days were freshest, because when I bought bread and pastries from there, the bread tasted just a little less fresh than what I usually get at La Hacienda, but it could have been the day I went. The pastries are great though, and they also have Mexican Coke, which is a favorite indulgence of mine, and the other delicious Mexican sodas that are still made with real sugar.

Beautiful Tres Leches cake. And yummy!

Cake is amazing and fresh. Workers are truly amazing. It feels like you're in a Latin country like Colombia.

I got the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie. Both were uh maze ing! I really like how they put that hard chocolate on top of the chocolate croissant. It also had a good filling to croissant ratio. Make sure you ask them to heat it up if you're eating there because it's not the same cold. I really liked my butterscotch latte! It had a good butter scotch flavor! It was the perfect blend of butterscotch, milk and coffee. It was also perfectly sweet, but I like my drinks sweet. They've got pastries, soups, sandwich's, coffee, and other goodies! Make sure you stop by and check it out!

Maybe there was a better option but the stress of going in circles in that area forced me to just park. Desserts were beautiful but there were flies all over them. When we mentioned the flies to the kids behind the counter they just looked at us and then went about their business. They weren't friendly at all honestly, even as we were paying $40 for pastries and coffee. There were some pastries in a case that didn't have flies so that's what we ended up getting. They were yummy though. I would have given it another try if the people working there weren't so rude. They kind of ruined the whole vibe and I honestly don't care to go back just because of that.

I ordered one and inhaled it as soon as I got in my car. It's a bittersweet feeling to know that I don't have a Baked on 8th near me, as I would probably spend way too much money there as I ate my way through their menu. By the way, the bakery inside is sort of dark, so they might look closed, but I assure you that they aren't. Service was excellent.

This bakery is not one I would recommend to anyone visiting or locals for that matter…read more We have ordered countless cakes over the last few years as well as pastries from here. I've never thought anything we received was great. But I always want to support local over PE backed chains. First off, I find some of the staff here oddly pretentious- which is crazy given the business they are in. This last time, we ordered a red velvet cake and when I went in to get it- I went up to the register and waited but no one assisted me. The cake was previously ordered and paid for. I finally say I'm there to pick up a cake and they proceeded to tell me I need to "wait in line". They have a pastry case full of items and there was a decent line of people mulling over what they wanted to get that were walk ins. I've never went to a bakery ever, that made people that had pre-paid pickups wait in a walk-in line. The even bigger offense here though, is the cake. It was dry, didn't taste like red velvet and had an unpleasant aftertaste. All 4 of us who had some, said it wasn't good. The rest will be going in the trash. We won't support this place in the future and will steer others away if asked.

The fondant version is what we got complete with mis-spelling and child like painted on details. After notifying Kelly that we were not happy with the presentation she proceeded to text a bunch of photos of cakes she's done that turned out great, incessantly defending her sub-par work. She blamed the extreme heat for inability to complete as ordered, they tried putting it in the freezer to keep it cold but just too hot out. She said she would have directed us differently as far as type of cake decor if she had known the weather would be so hot- we ordered this cake far in advance and the the heat wave was anticipated days before we arrived. It really just seems like the type of detail we wanted was not something this bakery is capable of doing. We had the cake delivered to the house before we got there which was super convenient. Only got concerned with this after Kelly told us to make sure to lock our doors at night since we were in a "bad" neighborhood. Since the bakery had the code to our doors and she was texting this late at night, this comment was received as threatening and we became concerned for our safety. The customer service and service recovery is something this bakery really needs to work on, we will NEVER be working with them again. Only positives... She did acknowledge that the order looked very rushed and gave us 10% refund. The cake tasted great, but just not worth the money in my opinion.

I arrived early around 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday and immediately noticed a steady stream of people pulling up, grabbing bakes, and heading out. The staff was incredibly cheerful and welcoming, especially for a busy Saturday morning and I really appreciate that. The bakery's display case looked stunning, with every pastry and cookies looking more tempting than the last. I spotted a gorgeous mango croissant that caught my eye, though I decided to save that one for a return trip. I really appreciate a bakery that offers a great balance between savory and sweet options. Our order included an Everything Bagel Croissant, a Prosciutto Croissant, an Almond Chocolate Croissant, and a Monkey Bread. The Everything Bagel Croissant was an absolute genius combination. With a dollop of cream cheese right in the center and everything bagel seasoning on top, it brought the absolute best of my two favorite breakfast worlds together. The Prosciutto Croissant apparently tasted good, my husband claimed! On the sweet side, I thought the Almond Chocolate Croissant was decent. The frangipane was tasty, though a bit on the sweeter side, and I wish there was a bit more dark chocolate to balance that sweetness out. The real star of the show for me, however, was the Monkey Bread. It was gooey, pillowy, incredibly generous with the caramel, and loaded with sticky pecans. It felt like total perfection. I am definitely returning soon to try more.

They had a solid selection of pastries available, though no cookies that morning (I've had them here before, so I was a little disappointed to miss those). The staff member immediately recommended the cinnamon roll, so I went with that. I took it home and warmed it up before sharing it with my family, and that definitely made a difference, it was excellent warm. I don't think it would've had the same impact eaten cold. Service was quick, in-and-out in just a few minutes. I didn't notice much in terms of seating, so it seems more grab-and-go than a place to linger. Overall, simple visit but a very strong cinnamon roll recommendation.
