At Panache Hair Salon in St Augustine I was very mislead about prices where my service jumped from around $150.00 to $300.00. That is a terrible thing to do to customers. Then because I was on a personal call explaining what they did to me they took that as me being rude and kicked me out with half of my hair cut and then proceeded to say horribly rude things to me. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS SALON!!! The 2 owners are horrible! Michelle Viojgen is one is them and she had me in tears with her extremely rude words and actions. I've been having my hair styled and colored by Christina for the last 2 years or so- I have zero complaints. She's amazing. I love walking in and being greeted by such friendly staff. I've had a facial in the past too and also enjoyed that. But I really enjoy my salon trips for my hair. Christina listens to me and gives me what I'm looking for while making sure it looks good also. I called Panache after getting the worst haircut of my life from another salon. The people at Panache had me come in for a free consultation to discuss what could be done with the mess of a mullet that I was giving them. Chris (a lovely woman with blonde curly hair) patiently discussed the various cut and color options and we decided on a plan of action. They were able to fit me in that same week. Chris transformed my previous cut (that had been compared to "David Cassidy in 1973", "Carol Brady" and "A jellyfish") into a very stylish cut with cute bangs and layers that framed my face and most importantly, bore little resemblance to a mullet. She also did a beautiful job with the full highlights- a task that normally takes upwards of 3 hours on my head- in a reasonable timeframe. Additionally, the salon is clean, bright, relaxing and staffed with friendly people. I will be going back! read more

Going on day 4 and still have an AMAZING blowout thanks to Megan. I was in town for my baby shower and decided last minute that I wanted to get my hair done, so I called Panache that morning and they were able to get me in. The salon was very nice and it is an Aveda salon, so I knew going in it would be nicer than your typical salon. Upon entering I was offered something to drink (always a nice touch). Megan was super friendly and talked to me about how I wanted my hair to look for my shower. You get a massage on your neck and scalp prior to your blowout. She did a great job and I just can't believe after 4 days my hair still looks this good. Totally worth the $30! read more

I don't like to write a review specifically when I am not happy. I have been investing on my blonde hair for years and I have a long hair. Unfortunately after Christy showed pics what she could do on my hair to get blonder I decided to do. I thought after she said she has 12-13 years experience I could relax and see the results. Long story short my beautiful blonde hair got orange. I didn't liked at all. She said everybody liked. My appt was on Saturday at 10 am and after she finished the only thing she said was in two week (2WEEKS!!!!) she would toner with no cost but how I could work with orange hair? Or how could a person to leave her salon that way???? After many people asked what did I do to my hair I had to dye my roots brunette and I depressed, frustrated and I don't know where I can find in Saint Augustine a good, responsible and competent hair stylist. Many years and money went to trash... Btw I hope they don't say they couldn't find my appt bc I have voice message, texts, business card with my appt and pics. First time coming here and I will say at first walking in I was a little skeptical of how the massage would go. Waking in it looked more like a hair salon and not so much a spa. But as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff and they offered me refreshments! I only had to wait a little under five minutes till I got called back got the massage. I had a hour Swedish Massage with Sterling and she was wonderful! She knew exactly what I needed. I came in with a bad neck ache and left feeling relaxed and happy! I absolutely love this salon and recommend it to anyone! Kristina is my go-to hair dresser and she does an amazing job every time. I just tell her what I'm kind of thinking and tell her to do whatever she thinks is best and I've never been disappointed. She's done color correction for me, highlights, and is amazing at ombré (I would actually get stopped by strangers and asked about my hair). My mom started going to her as well (she now has a short pixie-ish cut) and we both love her! I used to cry walking out of salons and struggled to find one that I would go back to but Panache changed that. I love this salon, especially Juliana. There are not enough compliments to fit the space allowed. Her work is her passion and her passion is hair. I have so much admiration for her. She took me from a brunette to a platinum blond, (to hide gray) there is no one I would have trusted this challenge to and in true form it looks awesome. This was my first visit to this salon so, of course, I was very nervous. The front desk staff recommended Lindsey as I was looking for someone good with pixie cuts. After a quick consult to fully understand my expectations, Lindsey got me off to a good start with a head massage which was absolutely wonderful (probably the best part of the experience). My haircut on Aug 22, 2015, was one of the three worst haircuts I have had in my life, and I almost cannot remember the other two. I came in with long enough hair to work with, asked the stylist to leave it as long as possible, and layer and taper. I asked for a style like Hillary Clinton's, which, regardless of politics, would suit my age and lifestyle .My haircut looked as if she had put a bowl on top of my head and cut around the bowl (she did not, but that's how it looked). I left looking like a French poodle, ears and all. I am seriously considering shaving my hair off. And maybe I will dye it green. It could not look worse than after that haircut at Panache. If you are a tourist in St. Augustine or at the beach, go somewhere else In all fairness, they seem to have a good local business -- people were practically lined up for their appointments while I was there. Came to town for a wedding and made an apt for hair and make-up. Taylor did an amazing job on my hair. I can't say enough about Taylor. She was fantastic. I was pretty disappointed with the make up. After showing a picture to the make up artist, she said "no, you don't want that, that's to heavy, it will pull your eyes down." After telling her I'm a minimalist with make up, she proceeded to cake May face with foundation. When all was said and done, I felt like I looked like a cheap hooker with great hair. I couldn't wait, when I got in the car, I rubbed as much of the make up off as possible. It took a good 5 minutes of scrubbing/washing to get all of the foundation off. My issue with all of this, is, if I'm the customer, and I'm paying, why is the artist telling me what I want?. My wife and I love the St. Augustine area, and usually vacation there at least twice a year. When we pick a date, the first three things that we do are: 1- book our lodging, 2- confirm travel, and 3- schedule our appointments at Panache. I book a spa day for my wife - massage, facial, and her favorite, the mani-pedi. After hearing her rave about all of it, especially Natasha taking care of her mani-pedi, I decided to give it a try. I went in for hair coloring. My hair color is considered a 5 (light brown) and wanted it a little lighter. The even have the formula card for me. My hair color came out dark brown, really dark brown. Completely wrong and they knew it. They FLATLY REFUSED to fix it or make it right. They said they could fix it for another $60. So, the moral here is they are good if they get your hair right but, they will not stand behind their product. Beware and avoid. read more

Carissa was my hairdresser and she is the most AMAZING hairdresser I've ever had or seen. She is efficient, communicative, and has style. She takes one look at your hair, and knows exactly what to do, and how to do it. She is confident in the work she does, and in return, I was confident in her ability to do my hair, and never did it turn out short of PERFECT!! Unfortunately I had to move, however, she came to my rescue when a new hairdresser ruined my hair. She goes above and beyond, and aided in getting my hair back to its original state. If you or your friends go to this salon, absolutely see Carissa!! I tried others there due to Carissa being off the day that I needed to get my hair done for a rush work trip, and it was not successful, so she told me to come right in and she fixed it up perfectly. She's a miracle worker, and a great person!! If I had the funds, I'd bring her to any and all places I move because she truly is the best hairdresser I've ever encountered. At first glance, Panache seems pretty high priced, but for what you get, I think my money was very well spent. I went to Panache for a haircut after reading good reviews and hearing a good word from a friend. My stylist was Chelsea. She offered me something to drink and gave me a brief scalp massage before washing my hair. During the cut, she spent careful time making sure it was right and looked good, which I really appreciated. Normally I'm pretty nervous during haircuts, but I trusted her to do a good job (which she did). I would much rather spend the $20 extra dollars at Panache and know I'm going to be satisfied than risk going elsewhere. Definitely recommend and will be back. read more

I called to make 3 haircut appointments for myself and two family members. They were able to accomodate all three of us for the next day. When we arrived the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We had Tanya, Taylor, and Angie for our haircuts. We all left loving our haircuts. They did a great job and all of them were so nice. I went to Panache for a lash tint and walked out very disappointed. The esthetician was rude and did a horrible job. I left with my lashes partly colored and she didn't wipe away or rinse my eyes so I have black dye under my eyes that did not wash off. She tried dying my lashes with two different products and then told me that my lashes don't take color. I've been getting my lashes tinted for 5 years now at other places and have never had a problem. It was a waste of $20 and my time and I will not recommend Panache to anyone. read more

I was recommended by a friend and It was appreciated that I was able to make a appt for the next day but the level of service and satisfaction that you would expect with a $35.00 hair style went downhill from there. It has been 2 weeks and I am still traumatized by my experience. There was a total disregard and lack of communication by the stylist. I showed her a picture of a long layered look with someone with my face shape and then she proceeded to crop my hair just under my neckline and then she added maybe 2 layers. I think the whole cut took her 5 minutes. I regret that I left a good tip and really didnt realize how short my hair was till after I left the salon. The style of the haircut is not what I asked for, though I am starting to get used now and have gotten some compliments. read more
