This morning I tried to work through Walgreen's phone bot to find out the status of a prescription. After getting bogged down in the glitch-filled bot, I managed to get transferred to a human, who confirmed to me that my Rx had not been filled. This contradicted the message I got on their web app four days ago telling me that the Rx would be ready yesterday at noon. I asked why that would occur and the assistant accused me of being rude. This tack was also attempted by the pharmacist to whom I was transferred after a 5-minute hold. All I wanted was an acknowledgment that they had made a mistake and an apology. No such luck. The pharmacist, Tom (who refused to supply his last name) told me that he had called my doctor's office and gotten my Rx canceled. He explained that this was standard procedure with 'out of control' customers requesting a controlled substance. Nevermind the fact that I have not used this medication in over two years. I would be more forgiving if this were the first screw up by this pharmacy. It is, however, the SIXTH time I was given the information that a prescription was ready only to find out that it wasn't. Save your time. Avoid frustration. Stay away from Walgreen's, a company that can't take criticism. read more

I just went through the drive through to get a COVID test that I had scheduled. The lady came and I told her and she said all appointments for today were cancelled and that I should have received an email. 1. I had no email saying it was cancelled. 2. She was irritated while telling me all this. I didn't even get upset or anything. I asked how do I reschedule and she goes, "Go back online!" Goodness. I'm getting tested because I'm having symptoms. I don't need to be yelled at by the pharmacy tech. read more

Convenient pharmacy on A1A. This Walgreens had the primary item I needed and as a bonus, stocked something I'd been trying to get my hands upon for a long while. Yes! I thought I was getting a good deal on postcards but then I found more at other stores for a similar price and a with a wider selection. Oh well. The woman at the register had such a deadpan demeanor accompanied by the driest sense of humor. She was a trip. read more

Convenient and found an obscure cough syrup other stores didn't have. Easily accessible since on A1A. You can fill your prescriptions here too. I'd stop more often if I lived here but it's great to have a Walgreens where ever I travel because they're predictable. read more

Pharmacy is the worst. 6 people behind counter and no one acknowledges customers. Waited 40 min for a vaccine so I was able to witness this first-hand. Also walked out with no vaccine, didn't seem to care when I told them I had some other place to be. read more

Incredible how many excuses/non-truths you receive from this pharmaceutical staff. Lack of transparency makes it way too difficult to collect prescriptions here. read more

I was double charged for three prescriptions at Anastasia Walgreens. Even though the pharmacist understood I was double charged he did nothing but tell me to call my bank. Not too busy to double take my money but too busy to do the right thing for a patient. read more

One advantage of Walgreens (and probably CVS as well) is they're nationwide). That makes it easier to get refills on meds (providing that you have the refills) pretty much anywhere in the US. We've had decent service from them in the past. However, in St. Augustine, FL, during a recent semi-urgent situation and we were unable to find a 24 hour Walgreens. We have since found one. We've heard that during the pandemic, the pharmacies got the brunt of it. Of course the first line doctors and nurses were extremely stressed. Fortunately, they were able to rise to the challenge. On the Covid vaccine: We've both had the original vaccine plus 3 boosters. One of us had no problems with the vaccine, but the other (after the first injection) did have a moderate case of Covid. He ended up receiving a second line treatment which was effective. We've known at least two people who both got serious cases of Covid. They ended up in an intensive care unit where one of them died and the other was expected to, but she survived. Get your vaccines! If you tend to be in the "anti vax" group, know that the vaccines are the first line of defense against the virus. It's not perfect, but we learned that all vaccines are not a complete defense against the disease but that they are pretty good coverage. Can you imagine what it would be like w/o the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) and the polio and smallpox vaccines? People have forgotten about the "dread diseases" of polio, measles, mumps, rubella and smallpox. It was due to the luxury of being protected by those vaccines. The smallpox rate reached about 90% of the population in Europe prior to the smallpox vaccine, and millions of people died. That an extra (?) one million died during Covid, we blame on the Trump administration due to their bungling of the vaccine. read more

tried to drop off 10 pound package 3 1/2 feet tall at fedX at the Walgreens on A1A Anastasia Island at 9:00 am on Oct 22nd. the cashier at fedx decided she wasn't going to take it and said over 3 feet is not allowed. I told her she was mistaken. She chose not to accept it and we called fed X and verified that they do take it. we had to go to another Walgreens with the same set up just a different cashier who took it no problem. the cashier at the Walgreens on Anastasia island should be fired!!!! she was rude to everyone standing in line as well! read more

If you need a covid booster or flu shot don't bother with this location. They cancelled one of our appointments and then said they don't have time to do it. I waited 45 minutes for my appt 30 of which no one was called in for shots. When I finally received my shots I told the pharmacist that they could have easily fit in the cancelled flu shot. The pharmacist was nice enough to say ok we can do it. I will meet you at the window. I call my husband in and said they are going to give it to you but then the assistant says we can give it to you but you will have to wait another hour to fit you in. If they would have done the right thing to begin with it wouldn't have been an issue. There was no one scheduled after me for 30 minutes! I will go back to cvs even though I have been with this Walgreens for years. read more

Went to drop off prescription asked if I could park under cover unless someone came up behind me and that little moody girl rolled her eyes at me like I was stupid. I called her out on it and politely asked for my script back and told her she needs to change her little pissy attitude. How rude especially since I'm a nice person!! The pharmacy here does not treat people like human beings. If anything at all goes wrong they drop the responsibilities on the customer and leave them without meds no matter how important or necessary they may be. They just dont care at all read more

Would be "nice" if cashier wore a face mask and didn't chit-chat so much. Bought some stuff this morning, manager helped me and was wearing a face mask over his nose and mouth; when I went to check out, Rita was not working and the lady behind the plastic screen had her mask over her mouth but not over her nose. Let's hope they start to stock rubbing alcohol and toilet paper Price's get more reasonable. read more

I stay at the hotel next door a few times a year and frequent this Walgreens location for little things. Your typical Walgreens. The review is for the cashiers. Always nasty, always acting like you're an inconvenience. They are rude to eachother as well. I'll go ahead and drive a few miles down the street just to avoid this place from now on since checking someone out without being rude to customers seems to be too hard. read more

Just went through the drive thru and was told to go to a different Walgreens several miles away because they did not have the prescription that I needed to get filled. Apparently they didn't carry this particular drug. However she was not helpful at all did not even offer to call to the other Walgreens to see if they had what I need. This is after telling her that my husband and I both have Covid so clearly she just was not in the mood to help at all. I have a feeling she just didn't want to also have to walk and grab the Mucinex off the shelf but I was requesting because I can't go into the store obviously. read more

This is this most horrible pharmacy I have ever gone to. They treat you like you are less than human there. I waited in line through the drive through for over 30 minutes to pick up my prescriptions only to find out that one of them hadn't been filled for 90 days but for only a month supply. I would be okay with that if it wasn't my inhalers which I need to be able to breathe! Especially with COVID going on. Instead of easily fixing their mistake and grabbing two more inhalers off the shelf/reprinting a label, they proceeded to yell at me to "GET OUT OF THE DRIVE THRU!!!" and berate me as I was waiting for my prescription. I have NEVER been treated so disgustingly! I don't know how they are still in business treating people that way. They should be a shamed of themselves. Truly horrendous rude evil people. Do yourself a favor and please don't ever go to this Pharmacy. read more

Although there have been a few mix ups [I attribute to them and my Dr] they're pretty good with everything else. The cashier is not rude she's just a liitle rough around the edges the way she talks not mean at all read more
