I had color, 2/3 highlights, and a cut with Kristina who I was told was a Level 3 stylist. Kristina was very nice and she tried to deliver. But my bill came to $422!! I have never, EVER paid that much and been SO disappointed in my hair!!! I can't really see the highlights and it is much too short. The result I received was definitely not worth that amount of money!! I am so disappointed!!!

Beautiful and clean, but noise disrupted the relaxation…read more Spa Mirbeau Albany is a very nice and clean facility, and the staff members we encountered were attentive and friendly. However, my experience was unfortunately disrupted during a couples massage with my best friend. Throughout our one-hour treatment, we could randomly hear loud voices and laughter coming from outside the room. I wasn't sure if it was from other clients or the staff, but it was highly distracting in an environment that is supposed to be a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. While the spa itself is lovely, I hope management can look into better enforcing quiet zones so guests can fully unwind during their services. Kelly Kennedy

BEST MASSAGE EVER!!!!…read more I've have several massage therapists, saw a regular therapist for years, and always stop in on the random chair massage pop ups you see about. Needless to say, I feel qualified that I've experienced many styles, types, techniques and different people when it comes to massage therapy. I booked a 90 Minute Couples NSL Massage for my boyfriend and I on a whim. First Impression: The outside it adorable to walk up to and upon actually entering the premises we were blown away by the immediate feel of magic, ease and wonder all at once. I've seen many different aesthetics when it comes to decor yet this was otherworldly in a provocative and enchanting way. This feeling continues throughout the rest of the stay, room to room and into their gorgeous back courtyard! Point of Interest Number Two: The massage therapist made me feel instantly at ease and in capable, knowledge hands; safe. I instantly began to melt into the techniques he was using that I had never felt before. The entire massage was almost entirely new to me as far as style and I loved every single second of it. My boyfriend was equally in heaven with his therapist. I could go on for an essay's length about this world-class massage team we experienced right here in this hidden gem in Albany. I rarely right reviews, yet had to this time to spread the word about this amazing gift you will be giving any recipient of a service from this Spa! The insane part is the next day, instead of reverting to my natural hunched neck and slouched shoulders and general poor posture, he'd corrected and felt so many cracks in such a pleasantly releasing way), I continued to stand straight. I was walking with my shoulders squared back, chin high, NATURALLY. The man also fixed my friggin' posture! Trust me, you will 100% NOT be sorry you trusted this review.

I scheduled an entire days worth of itinerary to celebrate my…read morebirthday, received a confirmation email that my services were charged, only to find out that they are having an issue with their booking system, where nothing was saved, except for the salt room "class." I asked if they could just add me onto the schedule since I was planning to patronize this business for a majority of the day, but they said they have no space and all I can do is just cancel the salt room experience. This was a terrible customer service experience, especially given that it was last minute and for a specific special occasion. I will never try to book anything here again, and I suggest that you avoid this place as well. UPDATE: they apparently still charged my account the full price of the services that I requested, despite saying that nothing went through. Despite saying that I only left the card in file, but they would never charge me before the services were rendered...stay far away from this place. Unable to provide the services, but they also don't want to give me my money back. They're trying to scam me out of my money. I am disputing these charges.

It was a pleasant experience and the older gentleman has very strong hands. Almost too strong. But if you ask him to go a little lighter he will. When we got into the massage room he said I am going to give you two hours. I said what? He said I am going to give you two hours. I said, oh!! OKAY! While thinking about it I thought I am the only customer here maybe he would rather work than sit around, or maybe its because it is my bday. Or Maybe it is because I am a first time customer. NOPE to all. At checkout he said I owed $130.00 Well I didnt have that much cash on me so he goes credit card? And I am like wait $130.00 plus tip and he said yes. So I said No, I reserved a 90 min. massage for $85.00. He said he gave me two hours. So we went back and forth for a bit when the lady owner came out and pointing at the price board on the wall and trying to say in part english and part other language that yes it would be $120.00 and that is the correct price. She was pointing to a separate foot massage. I was like oh no you dont. I never asked for the two hours, i did not reserve two hours, I never changed my reservation to two hour massage. This is not ethical or good business. I am paying what I reserved for. $85.00 plus a $15.00 tip. Another man came in asking for a massage so the owner lady had to get him out of there as fast as possible so he would not hear what was going on. So, I was firm with the older man and said that I will pay what I ordered and reserved and handed him the cash with tip. He had a very mad look on his face. I then walked out the door.
