I still enjoy coming here after several years putting up with the attitude. It has actually reached the point of humour amongst my group of friends - we would actually be disappointed if we got a smile from the proprieter ! I think this place is more of a hobby for the well to do owner than a business venture - the opening hours and days are quite restricted so you have to pick your visits as well. The food keeps us coming back, usually for a work group lunch. We always factor in extra time for the slow service but have walked out on several occasions when it is apparent we would be waiting for too long. When it is warm the outdoor garden (with fresh herbs, olive trees, etc) is beautiful but a cold desolate place in winter. Pick your days for al fresco dining !

The cafe area is not super comfortable (think - lacking character in furnishings) and rather loud when crowded (owing to the hard surfaces inside) - so perhaps not the best place to setup and write your next novel, however the coffee is reasonable and it is well positioned to provide a good place to wait for your ferry.
