They do not listen to your requests for how to groom your pet, apparently there are 300 or so havanese in the area that Pampered Pets cuts....this is a rare breed so unless you don't know the difference between a maltese or bichon and a Havanese then maybe you shouldn't make outrageous statements like that, because frankly I find it hard to believe considering I had to drive 3 hours to the breeder to get my puppy. This would also explain why my dog always comes home looking like a Yorkie....specific cuts for specific types of dogs.
Beware of the "base price" quote....we have had to pay 60+ dollars and it seems like they cut my pup in the most convenient way possible for them (if you asked for the hair to stay long...usually its whatever they found easiest to do...AND if you DARE confront the owner or manager about any concerns let alone issues...expect to be ridiculed and/or hung up on. (which she did). Terrible Management
I have also noticed that my dog is deathly afraid of getting her hair brushed or cut since the last time we took her there.....I'd also be a little concerned if you are someone with a puppy who is a bit feisty....it makes me wonder how rough they are with her when she doesnt sit still.
Either way, I would rather learn to cut my dog myself or find a more respectful groomer than deal with them again. After reading another girls review I agree I question the safety of my pet when taking her to this groomer. read more
