Groomed and trimmed my cat, looked like model afterwards. I'd definitely come again. Didn't have to deal with cat hair for a while.

(Service reviewing: grooming and nail trim.) Our 13lb dog came home with 2 sizable razor cuts on him, one of which is now an open sore. I would have appreciated the groomer letting me know instead of having to find it on my own. They also had him stored in the back room instead of up front with the other dogs. I do not know the reasoning there but we will not be returning. read more

I want to say, "Do not let outward appearances detour good quality work and service." I was excited to that Pampered Paws was close to home and I like to support small businesses. The pink sign with frilly lettering had piqued my curiosity for a few months. It is kind of humorous to bring my Pit Bull to a place called Pampered Paws. My dog is a pretty low maintenance 8 month old puppy that needs his nails trimmed and Dremmel'd about once a month. I had mixed feelings after walking in the first time last month. We were still dealing with the cold days in Minnesota so there was a towel below the front door, probably to prevent a draft. I stepped over the crusted towel and proceeded to be greeted by three very nice ladies who doted upon him like he was the only dog there. Actually, there were 4 dogs milling around and 1 very sedate pink stripped pig, but that did not affect my service on bit. They advanced him back to his nail trim and I stood around taking in the space. I noticed there was a wide variety of pet apparel, treats and toys. I probably would have been more interested but some of the items were rather dusty so it did not appeal to me. "Fur flies" when dogs and cats are groomed so I give a pass on the state of cleanliness. The menu had many options of groom and services that included facial masks and nail polish! They also had a self service station for owners to wash and dry, which I thought could useful in the future. I would have liked was a chair or two as I waited but I think most people drop off their animals and return when they are done. I just returned home from my second time there and the service was just a good as the first! read more

DO NOT use this groomer. They lost a dog yesterday in the freezing cold who has not been found yet.

I heard they killed (strangled) a pug during a nail clipping. I'll never come here especially looking at other reviews

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the place that lost two dogs. One died, one spent 3 days in sub zero weather before it was found. Dogs in a grooming salon should not be near any doors to the outside, let alone "able to nose a door open". Dogs should not be loose outside to be able to get under a fence. This is why slip leads were created. read more

Took my dog to be groomed they told me 2 to 3 hours 3 hours went by and never heard a word so i called and they said it would be another 3 hours at least because they had not started my dog because the owners feezer went out at home and she took 2 groomers with her to get it unloaded. Needless to say they did not bother to call and let me know what was going on. I will never use there services again as my dog sat there in a kennel with nothing done for 3 hours. read more

I took my dog here for a nail trim. By the end of the first paw she was bleeding so badly we should have left. The reason why I pay to have a professional nail trim is so her nails don't get cut too short and bleed. I could have done a better job myself. There were several unsupervised high school girls on their cell phones the entire time that were the "workers". Made me wonder what the training consisted of? I cancelled the rest of our appointment for grooming. When they brought my dog out she was still bleeding all over the lobby. I asked them to put some Quick Stop on her nails and they said they didn't have any but I could put flour on it when I got home! No one bothered to clean up the blood in the lobby either. read more

Pampered Paws did an excellent job with removing mats from fur and bathing our elderly kitty. They were busy, but got her in on the same day, which was great for my schedule. Our kitty being older and no longer able to take good care herself of her long fur, gets matted easily. When vet techs have done this in the past, they nicked her skin with the clippers, which we thought couldn't be helped. But not one nick on this visit. They even managed to make the resulting haircut look cute! We definitely recommend Pampered Paws. read more

We've used Pampered Paws a few times now for my Beagle's gland expression, nails, groom and baths. They've been great every time. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and I have been very happy with the services provided. I will definitely continue to come back here! read more

I was happy with my experience here, and as a former bather for Petsmart, I consider myself a hard critic. I was able to make an appointment the same day for my bichon. The facility to me seemed of average cleanliness. It was at the end of the day, too I worked in this environment for a year. Keep in mind when reading other reviews - It will almost always be very hairy/dirty. Groomers are very busy workers who almost never take any breaks or lunches - even if "required" by law. What does need to be cleaned up are urine & poo, hair is not that important. Unless you actually see a groomer sitting down and not working whatsoever, I don't think it's cause to complain. Some grooming salons are cleaner because they have actual cleaners or hours set aside for workers to clean. Some don't, so that their groomers can make more money. Dog hair on towels is pretty normal, as long as the towels are clean, they will still do their job and not make your dog dirty again. Also a reminder, groomers and bathers are tipped workers who appreciate gratuity. They stand on their feet all day, are peed on, bitten (this happens more than you would think), and subject to loud barking and hair dryers all day. They deserve tips, no matter where you go. :) read more

I've driven by Pampered Paws numerous times, so when we got a puppy and it was time for his first nail trim, it seemed like a natural choice. I wish now that I would have had the brains and courage to walk out of that place the first time I walked in though. My first impression walking in was that of utter disgust. The place stunk of animal waste and chemicals. It was dirtier than any where I'd ever been before too. The products and food on the shelves were coated in dust, the floor was covered in dust, dirt and animal hair and it was unnecessarily dark, like they kept the lights off. The friendly girl behind the counter got us in right away and was very reassuring with my puppy. She led him to the back amidst other dogs who were wandering around freely. As i watched him go back there I was shocked at how dirty and untidy their back room was. Bags were hanging off tables, nothing seemed to have a place, but items were scattered haphazardly. The place was just downright dirty! As she was trimming my puppy's claws, she either cut him or scared him, because on one paw he helped out and started squirming but she just kept going. What's more, she had picked up the claw trimming device from a table and I never saw whether it was clean or not, but I can only guess the answer. Long story short, though the staff was friendly enough, the conditions of their shop were deplorable and extremely unsanitary. I will not be going back amend don't recommend it to anyone else either. read more

Do not use this place. They have lost dogs and have been responsible for numerous dog deaths because of their carelessness. I wouldn't ever trust them with my beloved dog. Stay far far away from them read more

I took my dog here for a bath and nail trim. He had been there for almost 3 hours, and no one called me to let me know he was ready. So I had called and then picked him up. When they brought him out his nose was red and has been red and raw for three days. His eyes were also red and he was very stressed out. He was shedding like crazy! This is definitely due to stress. My dog is a labrador, and I have never seen him shed this bad. He also had his nails trimmed, and one of his back Nails looked like it had bled. When I had mentioned to them about his nose and red eyes, they had said "maybe he needs hypoallergenic shampoo next time". This is definitely not allergy related, and it appears as though they put a very tight muzzle on him. My dog does not bite; nor is he aggressive. There is also a mark on the top of his snout to prove that there was a very tight muzzle on him. This makes me so upset to think that my dog may have been mistreated. I will not be returning OR referring anyone to this place. read more

I'm so glad that I stop by one day to ask how much as going to be for gromming my little Sammy(White Maltese). They were AWSOME! While your pet is there waiting to their turn, if the pet is there for longer they will walk your pet. I use to take him a Big Corporation Pet Store and for 3 times they hurt his parts when grooming. PAMPERED PAWS IS AWESOME! THEY NEVER HURT MY PUPPY AND THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY! THANK YOU PAMPERED PAWS for taking such a great care of my dear Sammy K. from Prior Lake. Best Regards, Elizabeth K. read more

I couldn't wait to get out of here. We needed to get the dog washed and so we checked out the self-grooming station at Pampered Paws. We should have turned around and left when we walked inside and the stench of the place hit our noses. Our second sign to leave should have been the huge pig that they have in the shop. I mean literally they had a large pig in the shop. We got into the washing room, which is a tiny, very dirty room, that stunk very badly. There was hair everywhere, I had to wash the tub out before we put our dog in it. There was hair all over the aprons, the tub, the walls, and the shampoo bottles. There was also some loose cotton all over the room, like a dog had torn apart a stuffed animal and let the guts all over the room. The shampoo was clearly watered down and so I went through a half bottle to get my 50 lb dog washed. After we finished washing the dog we grabbed a towel to dry her off. There was some sort of fabric stuck to the towel, so I tried grabbing another towel. The second towel I grabbed was stuck together and full of dog hair. I went through all the towels and discovered that there was other dogs hair stuck to all the towels in the room. We actually didn't towel the dog down and just rolled down the windows on the way home to dry her off. I don't think that anyone regulates their dog grooming stations, which is too bad because this place was so gross that I wish there was some person I could call to report them. We came first thing int he morning so it wasn't like they had a busy day and weren't able to keep up with the cleaning. I warn anybody from using any of their services. I only went to the self washing station, but if they keep that area as gross as they do I can only imagine that the rest of the store is as gross as well. read more

We have been loyal customers for over 2 years and brought our dog in always for the same haircut. We have a hih tzu and always keep her face round. The last time we brought her in they shaved her face down and the rest of her body was very uneven. I suspect we had a groomer in training. What was so disappointing was that I reached out to Pampered Paws regarding my disappointment in her haircut and I received absolutely no response or acknowledgment. I guess they don't care about customer loyalty. I will be looking for a new groomer now. read more

I have been bringing my 2 small dogs (a Bichon and Rat Terrier mix) for the doggy day care every Monday for 5 weeks now. I am beyond impressed!!! Although they are new to the space, everytime I go to drop off the dogs, there are always upgrades. It's not just day care for my little ones~ included in the way low price, they actually wash your dog with meticulous detail. The owner prides herself in using only organic and natural shampoos and products. My dogs have never looked so good. I don't know how they get them so white and fluffy. Another added bonus is that they have an adorable rescue pig there named "Quinton." Just a bunch of animals hanging out and loving life when the owners are at work or what have you. Airie is always there on Monday with a smile on her face greeting the lil' buggers. Thank you Pampered Paws and your amazing crew for your genuine care that you guys give to our beloved animals!!!!! read more

We have used Pampered Paws for several years and we always had great results with friendly service and wonderful groomers. Since they have moved to their new location things have changed. You barely get a hello from the workers and they give no attention to the dog at all! I am sure they are sick of dogs all day but these are our babies that we bring to them to groom and it would be nice if they act like they like them a little. Our dog has never barked at the groomer over the years and she barked so much yesterday that they put her in a kennel in a cage in a dark closet. Not one bit of attention to the dog when she came in or left. We were giving them one last chance and now we are looking for a new groomer. Too bad they couldn't have kept up their old standards. Also they automatically put the tip on the bill and it is never less than $7.50. If I am not happy with the service I do not want to give a big tip!Let me decide what I want to tip please! read more

Pampered Paw Purgatory - Our medium 50 lb dog was dropped off on Friday April 3rd 2015 for a hair cut. Something we have typically done twice a year for a while now. Upon picking her up, the younger girl waited for an older person to come up from the back of the shop. Then we proceeded to pay for the cutting, but was still waiting to see our dog. They talked to her saying that the door was unlocked....I realized they had her in the up front kennels, but why was she being shy, she most certainly heard my voice which usually is followed by extreme high energy wiggling welcoming me back She was putting no weight on her hind right foot. I asked what happened and they said they didn't know??? Hmmm, something fishy here. I asked if she fell off the grooming tables, response was, "not that they were aware of". Smells like someone is lying. The dog would have yelped if she hurt herself, which was clearly evident the next day by the tennis ball sized lump in her ankle joint. I called again asking what happened, only to leave that message and getting no response for the last 3 days. Never going back. Why would they lie about it? Pathetic ethics in those owners/operators. Lost all respect!! In addition to phone calls and a PROMISE of a video, we have never heard back from them....it has been 4 months. We have found ourselves a different groomer. read more

This place is horrible. I will never go back again. I dropped my dog off on time for his appointment, which should take 3 hours. The alotted time which is fine, but people have things to do and these groomers decided to take 6 hours to groom my dog, not even calling when he was done. I had to go check in person and they were not even working on him. Another hour later(after they closed!!) i called again. Lemme tell u I was pissed. Then they charged me an extra 15$! Without even telling me! On top of ruining my plans. Then they lied saying they gave me a coupon. How so?! You charged me an extra 15$ for no reason! Side notes: very dirty and kids work there. Careless. And the pig is pretty gross in the store. Parking lot is a pain! U can't even get out it's so small. Thought I was saving money on rate 5$cheaper then other places I called. Turned out to be worst choice ever. Skip this place! Trust me read more
