Awful experience. I've been numerous times, years ago and enjoyed my nails most of the time. I found a better salon that does more intricate designs but they recently raised their prices. So I decided to try pampered hands again. Absolutely NOT. First they book me with someone who doesn't do designs which I was very clear about wanting. I appreciate her time but she took 90mins before even painting my nails. Then doesn't paint properly, very streaky. Asks about my design soo late after shes started painting. Someone else has to take over. Im there for 2hrs 20 min, just got solid color because of how ridiculously long it was with do overs of the paint. Then was told their not charging me for a design, as if this is a favor....I don't have a design on my nails cause you couldn't do it! I don't like the framing it to seem like a favor especially when my solid color gel x long nails cost $110!!! Way more than my original place. I learned my lesson. I will not be returning here and going back to the other place. Also they aren't super friendly, apologetic or accommodating. read more

The utensils they use are not sterile even though in these little blue pouches, the pouches are not sealed, and therefore they're not sterile so be extremely careful when they use the utensils on you, which has caused me to have an infection on my nails. They always save the pouches and put them into their pockets or under the equipment box. All equipment should be sterilized before using on a new client. They may wash it but it's still not clean. read more

Got my nails done at this place yesterday. Just a manicure and pedicure didn't want any color - they really took their time to do a thorough job and sat me at the massage chair while they did my pedicure. One of the ladies noticed that I was so sore while on the massage chair and came over and was so kind that she gave me about a 5 minute neck massage for free. was the kindest gesture and honestly it felt so healing. I'm currently here now and have been here 4x already. Every time I come Ann has been doing my nails and WOW is she amazing. Since Covid my original nail tech closed shop so I found pampered hands because it's right by house. I never been to a nail shop where they took their time, actually cared about tiny details, and really just did their best. They are typically in a rush and if they see a little mess up they don't care to fix it, or they complain the entire time. Well Ann isn't like that. She really is a perfectionist and I appreciate that. I always come in with difficult nail art or something just off the wall but she doesn't catch a attitude. I don't normally come to this nail salon because it's not near my home, but due to COVID-19 I tried to find any nail salon that was open since not all of them are. I found this place and decided to give it a shot. Firstly, the wait was not long at all. I was seated after 10 minutes of checking in. A lot of people come visit this place, and there was also a line when I first got there. I thought I was going to have to wait at least 45 minutes considering how many people there were, but I was surprised that I was seated almost immediately. Regarding how sanitary this place is, they are doing an excellent of keeping everything clean and taking the proper precautions to keep people safe. They put up glass walls between everybody, and do as much social distancing as they can. They are also providing their services in the parking lot area under tents, so you won't get overheated if you are worried about being outside in the hot sun. Regarding the service, Kelly did an amazing job. I came here for gel manicure and regular pedicure. She was very clean, and did a very nice job on both my hands and feet. She also did not rush me out of there, which I like. Considering how many people were waiting, I thought that she would've rushed me out of there as soon as she could, but she really took her time and made sure she did a good job for me. I found this place by asking fellow gym member about her nails. Prior to I had been driving from the valley to Long Beach to my nail guy who had been my person gif over 15 years . Hour up and back not including 2 hour service hands and feet . My nails are long. Any who I was told all the operators are good. Never have I ever went to a shop without an appointment for my select person. This shop has changed my life. I've tried different people every time and they all have been superb. They were COVID ready and just about the only nail salon open and operating for a while. They had so many color options that it was overwhelming in a great way. Everything was setup outside and while I was there they went around offering bottled water which was super kind. Parking isn't free and the parking patrol stays ready to give tickets. It's either metered street parking or lot parking behind the building for a flat rate. The restroom here was tidy. The customer service was good and they were rather quick but also very busy. I went a few times and there would be waiting lists but they would let you know how long and where you fell in place. Good thing is there are diners around to enjoy if you had to wait. I got designs here and wasn't pleased with the quality but did love the base of the nails and the many many color options per mentioned before. They had a great circulating setup with air and fans as well as plentiful safe measures in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. read more

I am in so much pain because literally the next day my nail broke I'm half, bleeding and unable to use my hand. First off the man and woman who are dressed in regular clothes are obviously in charge and make up the prices as they go, PLEASE NOTICE there is no menu or price list posted anywhere in the shop so they basically tell u the price (which changes every time I go). Now the girl I went to before this fill did a brand new set sept 9th she used colored acrylic and did a white French tip on long squared narrow shape, I'm kinda just telling y'all this because it's a brand new set and if they thought that they couldn't do my fill or thought I needed a complete new set they should have said something. But all my nail tech said was oh no it's colored acrylic I replied yes do u guys have that? And she said yes but it's too hard to match yours, im like no it has to match because im getting black French tip and don't want to see the new fill as a different color(base color). She insisted she would make it match with the solid nude color nail polish so I just let her do her thing. Granted I am the coolest go with the flow type of person and was in a little bit of a rush (got there around 11 and had to be at the wedding by 6). As I let her do her thing I noticed she was upset with something that was going on amongst the employees, obviously it was in a totally different language which I don't mind but she was like whispering in the girl who was doing my feets ear, so I know it was messy. Tbh I talk my shit and gossip in the nail shop too so I wasnt tripping like yassss bitch spill the tea (in my head). So my feet were done so they moved me to the other table for her to finish my hands. Then she started talking to the other nail tech that was now next to us (whole different girl than my feet) and was still talking her shit going up, and now I'm kinda annoyed cause now I feel like this is gonna affect her work because she so preoccupied with whatever she's upset about. I was so over it that I noticed when she was doing my French tip that she started with a v tip and added the curve so I stopped her and asked is the v tip easier for u to do, she's like yea so I told her just to do what's easiest for her. Mind u at this point I see the the nude nail color she put on and insisted would match the old fill with the new fill did not match, so I'm just trying to get the fuck outta there because I do not have the time. My whole point of telling u about her talking n shit is because I have long ass nails so I know my base needs to be very solid, but she seemed SO distracted the entire time I was in the chair has lead me to this broken ass nail less than a week later, in which I can hardly use my left hand at all. I guess I blame myself because they been switching prices and rude af the previous time I came but I want to spread the word and not have anyone experience this pain because of a neck tech not doing there job correctly. Do not come here! I must say tho a majority of the older nail techs are quiet, polite, and get the job done (they mostly do pedicures) the wait is not long but it in no way shape or form is this place worth your time, money, or health. What good are pretty nails if you can't use your hands afterwards!? I'm boycotting this place and y'all should do the same! I wanted to like this place. I really did. But the nail tech did not listen when I said I wanted slender, almond shaped nails. She shaped my nails super thick, and almost all of them curved to the side. I wanted acrylics with rhinestone nail art, she told me we had to do gel polish. Cool, no problem. But when I wanted a light pink polish, she told me I need to change to a darker pink. Again, okay. No big. Then she proceeds to put on THREE THICK coats of gel polish (over acrylics). I told her it was way too thick, and she told me "that's how it is, you have to do this with rhinestones, you don't know." My nails have never looked worse. I know a lot of people love it here, maybe it was just not the right nail tech or design for me. But I've truly never had a positive experience here or liked my nails. If I'm going to spend $120, I want to like my nails. I'll be removing them tomorrow read more

I've been coming for years and never got an funky infection. That's one thing that makes me nervous about these places. Highly recommend! I've come here 3 times and have had mixed experiences. I'm a man whose cuticles are tough and grow up onto the nails. After about 100 manicures I've learned that it is best to push the cuticles back twice and cut them twice for optimal results. The first 2 times I came, the results were superb, with the only problem being an undisclosed charge for buffing during one visit. I've been to about 10 different shops over 25 years and NEVER been charged extra for buffing. I had to argue with the manager for 5 minutes to get the extra fee dropped, since I was not charged the price I was quoted on the telephone. A sign with their rates would help eliminate this problem. The third time I came the manicurist was not nearly as skilled as the first two. Before she started I informed her that my cuticles were tough and it's best to push them back twice. However, she used a less effective tool to push them back, and only did it once. She did not use abrasive foam to eliminate ridges on the nail tops, and did not rinse my hands. She only spent about 1/2 the time working on them as the first two manicurists had spent. As a result, most of my nails still had some cuticle remaining on top. I spoke to the manager about this and she instructed the manicurist to work on them some more, but it should not have been necessary for me to have spoken out. While I will go there again, I will request to only be assigned a technician with experience with men's nails and ensure they push and cut the cuticles twice. read more

Even before the last closure for indoor services they had just remodel and took Covid protocols serious. So I felt safe. Now they have relocated outside. The new set up has been working for them, each time I've gone I noticed they always find better ways to run the business. You have to enter thru the back going thru the alley to find them instead of the front on Melrose. Appointments are tricky at the moment for them since things are outside it does take a bit longer than usual. But understanding with all these regulations and weather climate we been having, it can be a lot for these ladies doing nails in the heat. Checking in you must sign paper regarding Covid symptoms and temperature checks. Prices did go up for them but due to their suppliers. I only ever do gel on my nails. I have long nails that run in the family that grow super long so I never do acrylics. I've recommended this place to my friends and each of them have had great experience with Pampered. read more

Last straw. I will never go back here. I called them yesterday to see if I'd need an appointment and they said no they never have longer than a 15 min wait. So I come and they say it's a 20 min wait. That's fine, whatever it's Christmas Eve. So we wait 25 min then they seat us and start on my mom, but no one comes for me. So they assure me a few more minutes. Nothing. One of their regulars come in and they start on her feet immediately even tho she sat ten min after me. So I got pretty annoyed and complain and they didn't even care so we left. Also my chair was broken so the massager bits were literally sticking into my back and it really hurt. I told them about it and they shrugged it off. They have awful service. Awful. And of course, no boba even though he was there. This has been my nail place for two years (not regularly but whenever I get them done) now so I'm very sad to say the quality has gone down tremendously. I've noticed especially in the past two times. Last time they hurried my mom out of the drying chair and it nicked her foot that they just painted and they hurried so fast to redo it it never dried and just rubbed off on the same spot. No boba guy last time. This time she literally cut my fingers in four different places. To the point where it was bleeding. Like wtf?! And it's not even even in many places. But mostly I care cause my hands hurt so bad. Like you know those small paper cuts you get? It's like that... several times. It's been burning all day.
