They also ask you to pay before the service, which makes the pricing clear upfront and probably helps avoid awkward situations iykyk. The vibe isn't overly sweet or super welcoming compared to some other nail salons, but they clearly know what they're doing and do it well. I booked online and paid the $20 deposit. At no point during the online booking process did it mention a no-children policy. I also received a confirmation text message and that didn't mention the policy either. When I arrived with my kids, I was told I could not stay for my appointment because of their no-children policy. I explained that this policy was never shown during booking or in the confirmation message and asked if they could simply credit my $20 deposit toward a future appointment. The manager refused and said he "lost a customer." I pointed out that the salon was empty and that I was willing to come back another time without my kids, but he still refused to credit the deposit and eventually ignored me. I completely understand businesses having policies, but those policies should be clearly communicated during booking. Refusing to credit a deposit for a future appointment in this situation shows very poor customer service. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I won't be returning.

She had a stern tone with the black patrons and a cheerful happy greeting when non-blacks entered, when a non-black person asked her a question her answers were pleasant and engaging, when blacks ask her a question in regards to the Services her reply was given with an attitude, as if they should've known the answer to the questions they were asking her. She talked at them and not to them and yes, she was so rude to one of the mothers that was sitting in the pedicure chair she asked for her manager , her reply was I am the manager .. "if that was my mom that she was talking to like that it would have been an unforgettable day for her". I let my Eyelash tech know that she was rude condescending and should not be in the role of a supervisor or manager with that type of attitude and tone towards anyone and especially Black people who make up 85% who patronize these type of services. Original review: After researching nail salons for a couple of weeks, I decided to book with The Nail Salon. I scheduled my appointment through text and was asked to send a $20 deposit through Zelle, which I did during our conversation. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I didn't actually have one scheduled. I showed the text messages and proof of the deposit transaction. She explained that because I didn't specifically tell her the payment had been sent, she didn't realize the deposit was from me and never added me to the schedule. At that point, I probably should have left, but since they weren't busy and I had already paid the deposit, I decided to continue with the appointment. The pedicure was honestly very relaxing, and the massage portion was excellent. Unfortunately, the manicure experience was much different. I requested a full set, showed a couple of inspiration photos, and trusted the tech to choose the best products. During the application process, I noticed the nails were crooked and mentioned it. I was told they would be fixed, but the final result still looked uneven and nothing like the inspiration photos. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that multiple times during the manicure, the misunderstanding about the appointment was brought up and framed as entirely my fault, with no acknowledgment of the communication issue on both sides. I'm admittedly not someone who likes confrontation, so after bringing up the crooked nails once, I stayed quiet, paid, tipped, and left. I left disappointed because I had really hoped to find a salon I could return to regularly. The pedicure itself was great, but between the appointment confusion, the interaction during the service, and the quality of the manicure, I unfortunately won't be returning. My second visit for an overlay wasn't quite as perfect, but I decided to give it another try, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, this most recent nail appointment really fell short of expectations. The overlay itself ended up being much shorter than I had anticipated, and to my dismay, several nails chipped within just three days of the service. I also found the filing process quite uncomfortable; it felt rather aggressive and almost like a burning sensation at certain points. On top of that, it seemed like my cuticles weren't properly cleaned up during the process. For $60 I expected more. Given these last two experiences, especially this most recent one, I'm feeling a bit hesitant about getting my nails done here again. I do want to say that I think your salon truly excels at pedicures - those have always been wonderful!
