I really appreciate Shana being honest about the decorations (as she mentioned she couldn't make the designs EXACTLY in an inspiration pic I showed her for the cupcakes) but she showed me what she COULD do and they were just perfect anyways! The flavors were really good as well. I liked that the cupcakes weren't TOO sweet and unfortunately didn't get a taste of the cake pops as they were a hit with the kids.. but heard wonderful things about them. Only one thing for me to mention is the name "Max wild one" the color was off gold that it's kinda hard to read unless it's up close. I have placed a custom order with Shana on at least four occasions. The first three orders were pristine, and her demeanor was so kind and incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, on the last order, Shana was not kind or friendly. If anything, she was rather short with me and rude. The cake, itself, was incredibly subpar the last time around. We were all very disappointed. The last order I placed with her was approximately 2 to 3 years ago. I/we will not be placing further orders with her. The last order was a total bust. Everyone was disappointed, after several years of lovely work by Shana. And it was the easiest order I'd placed, to date. It's that time of year again, and I'm reminded of why we aren't using Palomar CakePops again. I do wish her and her business the best. I also wish her customers the best. I was desperate to find salted caramel cupcakes and after calling a bunch of bakeries with no success, I stumbled on Palomar Cakepops. To my excitement, the flavor menu included dark chocolate salted caramel! I called and spoke to Shana who was so nice and she took my order. Shana told me her pick-up process which ensures that she and her customers are Covid-safe. I really appreciated it. These cake pops were too good. I bought a couple for my parents and they were definitely great.

I ordered a dinosaur-themed chocolate cake and one dozen lemon curd cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Shana nailed the presentation, as the chocolate cake was exactly what I had in mind and the cupcakes were beautiful, but I cannot overstate how delicious they both tasted. It was literally the best chocolate cake I ever had. Everyone at the party raved about the cake, and several people asked me where I got the cake from. And the lemon curd cupcakes - ohmygod. I can't even begin to describe how rich in flavor and pleasant in texture these cupcakes were. My tastebuds were in flavor heaven. My mother in law, a lover of all things lemon, couldn't get over how delicious the cupcakes were. I actually felt sadness when the last cupcake was gone a couple days later! I've ordered from independent bakers before and their baked good were fine, but they didn't have the wow factor that would make me a recurrent customer. Shana of Palomar Cake Pops is a true bakery artist in every sense of the word and I will be ordering from her again. And on top of that, her baked goods are more reasonably priced than the other bakers I've ordered from. Shana made the entire process easy. The best cake pops ever! I ordered 24 cake pops and they were gone in 1 minute (lucky for me my daughter gave me a little piece of hers).
