We tried to use Palms Pool Services for the last two years. We were gone for four months and Palms never cleaned the leaf basket in front of the pump despite that being in the contract. Our pump got fried given the basket issue and had a cost of $600 to replace. When I asked about it they said they were not responsible and when I canceled the contract they collected the last 30 days in our contract. Slowly many of the people on our street have moved away from Palms. I would not recommend them as a cleaner or good business people. read more

Sorry, I can't say that either. The fellow who does my cleaning is ok, no complaints. But every company is reflected by the person at the top. You should be transparent with customers that you do not know about warranties for other products then because I was able to get our equipment repaired for FREE. I originally had a nice young man cleaning my pool. He unfortunately sold to this company and they had a very good pool guy at first so I didn't mind. Something happened to him and the new guy they "hired" (I assume he's a sub contractor) would only come to my pool and dump 1 yellow chlorine container in it and leave. I brought this up many times over the months and even had to buy my own chemicals to fix the mess he would leave consistently. My kids would have to skim the pool themselves before they could swim. We've been here for 4 years and I know how a pool should be cared for. He NEVER checked the water to balance it. Only vacuumed if it was obviously in need (most of the time). NEVER scrubbed the tiles, NEVER skimmed, only added shock when prompted to and even then not enough. NEVER added any base or acid or anything besides chlorine. Unreal. Even after I would fill the pool with 6 inches of water due to massive evaporation. I've complained almost weekly and they simply "apologize" and still charge me. Our service tech, Bruno, was the best but the office staff was so incompetent and unbearable that after 1 1/2 to 2 years we could not stay with the company. We quit their services and four months later started getting threatening emails and phone calls saying we had not paid the last four months. Horrible. We "inherited" their service from the prior owners a year ago, and until I recently fired them and hired someone else did I realize how dirty my pool was for a whole year. Office staff is rude, and pool guy just decided he wasn't going to show up to clean our pool on the last week of their service. No ramifications, no refund. He would come weekly to service the pool and would be here about 10 mins. New guy is here 25-30 minutes - EVERY TIME! Do not give these people your hard earned money. read more

Literally the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in any situation in my 34 years of life. Had the greatest pool guy for years and he sold his route to this company. My pool has looked like a swamp since switching to this company. We have emailed about us being unhappy a few times now and the response was always generic. They have never cleaned our pool filter (which the old company did weekly) and then when we asked why our pool was turning green he said he would put more chemicals in it and maybe we needed a new filter. He took our filter out and didn't clean it but just left it out on the patio and turned the pumps off.... I didn't realize any of this nor was I informed and my pool has just progressively gotten swampier. Emailed Chelsea on a Tuesday I believe and said they "would take care of it this week". Followed up on Thursday and she said they "ordered the filter and are waiting for it to come in" and "it isn't the end of the week yet" Friday afternoon now and I went to a pool store and bought my own damn filter and chemicals to treat my pool myself which cost me a fun $214. This is the most incompetent, careless, unprofessional company. When my pool, the route, was sold to them in March they came once and then didn't come again until 5 weeks later. I called and sent photos to the previous owner of the route who said he was still involved and would be my contact. He claimed that he did not sell the route. He would contact the new company, would share the concerns and photos and would say that they would be by the house by the end of the day and when that didn't happen the word was that they would be there the next day. This went on for weeks. I was told that the office would contact me but I never ever heard from them and they would not return my many calls. I tried to give them a chance but they showed me and my pool no respect at all. My pool was green twice during the 8 weeks I tried to work with them. When they showed up for 5 minutes to finally dump some chemicals to fix the algae problem, they never emptied the skimmer or did any other work. The next week when the pool was still cloudy and unusable, they stopped by but did no work. The skimmer still contained all of the debris and a dead frog from three weeks prior. They sent a bill for all of those weeks even though they ruined my pool twice, full on green, and hadn't shown up and refused to communicate. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would.. They have been sending my husband and I bills for services they never actually showed up for. My husband tried calling to explain that there pool people never came and they did nothing. I was home (and have cameras) during the time they said they came to clean the pool. Also they never cleaned our filter, the next company we used had a big cleanup to take care of due to palms pool service neglect. They are currently sending us a bill with late fees and threatening attorneys and liens. Please, please do not hire this pool service ! I hired them and on the second day of service I came home to a pool with no water in it! They ripped my vinyl liner even after I asked this company if they knew how to care for it. They said "yes", then when I called about the problem said it was my vault and the owner of the company never called me back! I had to replace my liner at a cost of 3,200 and my lawyer sent them a letter to replace the liner. Still no word from this company! They are extremely unprofessional and also dishonest because all the accounts they mention they have on their website I actually called and this company does not service them. Andrew the pool technician services the pool is fabulous he comes every Tuesday and cleans the pool and filter the problem is the owner! My pool developed a leak which is some things at the pool technician cannot handle himself.. Palm Pools sent out a third party company that represents Palm Pools to find and stop the leak 2 months later the leak is back. The owner of palm Pools is aware that the leak is back however refuses to return my phone calls or stand by the work that I have paid for!. All I want is for the owner to address the leak by having his third party company come back and check their work! I have left numerous voicemails for over 3 weeks I have spoken with the new office girl who is clearly confused! However I speak with her two to three times a week and she assures me she has told the owner. Clearly the owner of Palm Pools does not find it necessary to return the calls of his customer!! This company is the worst and should be out of business! They used chlorine in my salt water pool, resulting in water which was unsafe to swim in , mold all over the walls and bottom of my pool . When I contacted Amanda to try and fix the problem , I was lied to about when a service call would be made several times and insulted when I called back explaining that no one showed up as promised. Then , I received a demand letter saying I am late and overdue for payment with a late fee and threatened to be sued. Horrible company! I can't even write all the problems I've had with them over the years. But 4 years ago we paid for them to resurface our pool. Shortly after, we noticed it was bowing and drips were forming down the side as if it were concrete dripping. We pointed it out right away and got every excuse in the book. Our pool had a leak and they blamed it on the piping rather than the horrible resurfacing job. Finally, we decided to get a few companies to come take a look at it and we were told the same thing by all of them. The resurfacing was done completely wrong and needed to be ripped out. Instead of taking them to court for the bad resurfacing job they did (which was thousands of dollars), we told Palms Pools to erase the $300 in pool maintenance we owed them for the past few months and we'd move on and have our pool redone by a licensed plastering company. Well...days later we received a lien on our home. They tricked us into paying them thousands for a resurfacing job that they were not qualified or licensed to do, and now they put a lien on our house for $300. Obviously we are now going to court but want to warn anyone else about this company. They are frauds and now I'm finding out they are known around the county as that by every other pool company.
