I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Palmers Relocations during a recent interstate move from Sydney to Melbourne was so poor that I feel obligated to share it, both as a warning to others and in the hope that the company takes accountability and improves.
From the outset, the communication was average at best, but things truly went downhill on moving day. The crew that arrived at my home was completely unprofessional.
They were vaping indoors, playing loud music, and swearing openly, all without my consent or consideration for the fact that they were in someone else's home. This behavior alone was deeply disrespectful and inappropriate for a professional service.
But it gets worse.....
When my belongings arrived in Melbourne, a box was labelled by them as "broken sorry" - an admission of damage, yet no one had the decency to inform me about it at any point during the move. I had to discover this myself while unpacking. Not only is that careless, but it's also incredibly unprofessional.
To make matters worse, several pieces of my furniture were damaged, some significantly - scratches, dents, chipped corners, and more. I documented everything and reached out to Palmers Relocations, expecting at least a conversation or acknowledgment. Instead, I was met with complete denial of responsibility. No apology. No accountability. Just an indifferent attitude toward thousands of dollars' worth of my personal belongings.
When you hire a removal company, you're not just paying for transport - you're paying for care, respect, and professionalism. Palmers Relocations failed on all counts.
Summary of Issues:
Disrespectful, unprofessional behavior inside my home (vaping, swearing, loud music)
Deliberate failure to disclose damage to items
Significant furniture damage
Zero accountability or customer support post-move
I would strongly caution anyone considering Palmers Relocations for their move.
There are many reputable companies out there - unfortunately, this is not one of them based on my experience.
