I understood that moving is a stressful activity that is why I chose to outsource this hoping that the organization would give me peace of mind by taken on their Pack, Move and Unpack service.
But unfortunately, peace of mind is something I never had with this group.
My advice is that:
- if you want peace of mind don't use this group
- if you want to keep all your valuables don't use this group
- if you want to have your valuables moved without damage don't use this group
- if you want to get ripped off don't use this group
- if you want a company that would complete the work in full, don't use this group
- if you want a company where you don't have to chase up for and have them call you back don't use this group.
This is what happened
- The crew (3 individuals) they sent me was extremely inexperienced (damaged my items and tried to blame me by implying that it was already damaged and only after I said forget it as it was an accident they apologized.
- The crew was lazy, sitting around in the truck several times, taking smoke breaks and even eating whilst they were doing the work.
- They offered me money to buy my PS5, I explained that there is a worldwide shortage and you can't buy them in retail stores now and decline. I gave them my PS4, which they took. But in the end they stole my PS5.
- The work took 13 hours to move a studio apartment and quite a lot of my belongings were still left behind and they promised to get this done after they move it.
- When they reach the new apartment (which was down the road), they started to unload the items. The Property manager was also there to assist (as he was keen to go home). The guys got upset and wanted to punch him and then decided to throw my clothes onto the street. One of them started yelling and screaming and stormed off down the road still yelling and screaming.
- They demanded that I pay them before the work was done and I told them that the work isn't done as there is still some of my belongings still there in the old apartment and offered to pay them half and the other half would be paid after the work is completed. Then there were more yelling and screaming, I had to call their operations manager and had promised to send through writing confirmation that they will come back tomorrow to complete the work. I handed them $2250 whilst they were sitting in the truck, they said I short paid them by $1000. I then had to give another $1000 so that entire day cost me $3250 and it wasn't completed.
- The Unpacking service which I paid for wasn't provided as they all went home. I was up to 2am unpacking and sorting things out and unpacked as much I could.
- I realized that the PS5 wasn't there, I contacted one of the guys they told me that they didn't pack this, and it was still back in the old apartment.
- In the morning I went back to film everything that was still back in the apartment and realized that the PS5 was missing. I contacted the operations manager. He assured me that he would look into this and get back to me.
- Two other guys turned up and they did as much of the move as they could as they had another job lined up and they said that it will be completed afterwards. These two guys were awesome, polite and courteous extremely efficient.
- I then called the operations manager to chase this up and then sent him the video of the items that still remained in the apartment where the PS5 was no longer there he stuffed me around quite a bit and didn't bother to call me back.
- I went back to my new apartment to continue with the unpacking trying work out if their was anything else missing. The bag which I placed the PS5 into contained a lot of other things like cables and peripherals.
- I soon realized that my work laptop is also missing and other items (luckily I had a video of all my belongings before the move started).
- The following day I sent through a text message saying that I was on my way to the police station to notify them of my missing belongings. The operations manager called to try and convince me that I didn't need to contact the police and that he would reimburse me for the PS5 if they can't find this. He was organizing for the three original guys to come back to verify that they PS5 is missing and if they can't find it he would reimburse me and told him that there are other things missing as well. He said that he can only reimburse me the PS5.
- Later that day he transferred money to cover the cost of the PS5.
- I then followed up about the move activity for the remaining items, the three original guys never turned up, but the two decent guys came and started moving things over to my new place but due to the fact that they were committed to another job. my belongings were left in the loading area, and I had to carry things up myself.
I don't believe that everyone in this company are bad, unfortunately they have recruited some very bad seeds. read more
