I called the office, explained my situation and that I had my implants removed in 2015 and asked if it's possible to still have breast implant illness. Whoever I spoke to basically talked me in to a consultation with Dr. Soler and since he doesn't take insurance, the consult fee was $75. Everything I read on the website led me to believe that Dr. Soler is THE BII SPECIALIST and I figured it would be worth a shot to see if I could finally get some answers. I showed up 2 minutes past my appointment and had the office calling me to see where I was (parked out front of the office). I paid the consult fee and when Dr. Soler's assistant took me back to a room, she said "so you're here for a consult to remove your breast implants?".... Ummm noooo. I made it very clear on the phone before I scheduled the consult that they were removed in 2015 and confirmed this again when I checked in, before paying the consult fee. When it was all said and done, I got no help and am now out $75. And when you're living on social security, $75 is A LOT of money. Please be careful if you're interested in scheduling a consult for breast implant illness if your implants have already been removed. There was zero reason for them to schedule a consultation so the doctor could tell me that he couldn't do anything to help me rule out BII or in general!!!

Tampa Hair Restoration Centers say you can go back to work the next day and the procedure is painless. They could not be more wrong. On day 5, my eyes have almost swollen shut. It looks like I just went a round with Tyson, bruising, discoloration and all. Tampa Hair Restoration Center bases/sells the quality of their results on the experience and skill of their physicians. Yet they don't even have a physician conduct the surgery. My only interaction with the physician was him verifying my name and allergies for 30 seconds pre-op. This is not a knock on the support staff, whom I find very kind and helpful. But a reflection on the sales pitch and horrible pain the aftermath of the procedure entails and lack of disclosure the organization provides regarding your well being. Now I'm stuck with an invasive and painful procedure when I need to return to work. I would have honestly not gone thru with the procedure if informed of these facts, regardless of results.

Others have raised similiar concerns about his care within the past two years be sure to do your reserach. Following a surgical procedure on March 25th, I developed a severe post-operative infection. For days, I messaged the doctor about my rapidly worsening symptoms, but my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. No basic diagnostic tests or workups were ever performed. When I finally saw the doctor in office, it was only a cursory examination. Later, when the infection became critical, and I informed the doctor of a new abscess forming and continued severe symptoms, I was completely ignored. The doctor refused to see me, stating I didn't need to be seen again as I had just been in the day before. Pushed out office visit 14 days. This is despite my repeated warnings of new, concerning symptoms. The very next day, I had to seek emergency medical care and was admitted to the hospital for four days with sepsis, requiring IV antibiotics. This critical situation was a direct result of failure to adhere to the most basic standards of medical care and a complete lack of duty to provide timely and appropriate treatment. The doctor's subsequent lack of remorse and empathy has been deeply disturbing and has further eroded any trust I had. His complete disregard to the most basic standards of care, I have never experienced from any doctor in a trusted possession such as his. The ongoing physical and emotional consequences of this negligence are severe. I urge anyone considering this doctor to seek care elsewhere to avoid a similar terrifying and dangerous experience. During recovery, I noticed several concerns, including an abnormal appearance around my belly button, persistent swelling in that area with physical activity, lower abdominal fullness that did not improve, and a scar that healed thicker than expected. When I raised these concerns with Dr. Perez, I was surprised by his response. Instead of addressing the issues directly, he commented that he "should have charged more" for the procedure and advised me to wait one year before discussing any revisions. After waiting the recommended year, I returned to discuss the unresolved concerns, including the protruding skin around my belly button, discomfort and pressure during activity, incomplete contouring of the lower abdomen, and the thickened scar. At that time, my concerns were dismissed, he told me I needed to lose weight and I was told I was unreasonable for requesting revision, and no corrective options were offered--including for scar revision. Patients considering this procedure should carefully review post-operative results and ask detailed questions regarding revision policies, scar outcomes, and what support is available if results do not meet expectations. Ask if post-op massages are included or any laser treatment like IPL or C02. In my case, I developed a suture-related allergic reaction that lasted over six months, significantly affecting my healing process, and no proactive support or care was provided. The surgical results are very disappointing. The outcome looks as if it was performed by an inexperienced practitioner. The scarring is severe and far from what I was led to expect. My right breast appears to have had excessive tissue removed, leaving it with a noticeable indentation that resembles a hole. When I raised concerns, the doctor stated there was nothing that could be done. Additionally, the appearance of my areolas is highly irregular and unnatural, which has been distressing. Overall, the results feel careless and unacceptable. Between the lack of post-operative care and the poor cosmetic outcome, this has been a very frustrating and upsetting experience.
