After unsuccessfully trying to get an appointment with a primary care doctor in the Tampa General Medical Group within 30 days, my insurance referred me to Dr Hughes with the BayCare Medical Group who was able to give me an appointment within 3 days, which was just what I needed. The Baycare Medical Group has convenient online appointment scheduling, online pre-appointment paperwork, online lab results, and online medical charts so you don't have to spend a long time on the phone. After checkin it was only a 5 minute wait to see Dr. Hughes. Dr Hughes was friendly, able to answer all my questions confidently, very knowledgeable, even asked follow up questions to figure out my situation, and helped find the best solutions for me. Quest diagnostics is located next door so it was super convenient for me to go after my Doctor's appointment to get vital blood screening lab work. Thankfully I was told when Jennifer works. Most of them that work this location are great. There was only one floater PA that isn't any good , but she's a floater.
