Most people don't care about their health until it's already failed. Dr Matusewicz has some miracle-patients that have recovered from crippling ailments as well -- but my point is, you have to be willing to make some small changes in your life (and not just depend on surgeries and prescriptions to reactively fix things that have failed). If you do unfortunately need to go into surgeries and prescriptions, Dr Matusewicz becomes even more necessary. I would have had my surgeries done by a junior surgeon at the local hospital if it was not for her. Today, she received a letter from him stating she would no longer be his patient. She was a patient from 1/7/2016 to present. It all started because I questioned his interest in treating geriatric patients. My mom was feeling very tired and dizzy for a few days. I called his office relaying this information, asking about the previous blood work results. And asking his office that he call me directly. I never got to speak to him but I did get to speak to his assistant who told me she could not find the results of the last blood work! I did make a comment about my concern that the practice appeared not interested in geriatric cases. You see my mom has many serious conditions involving her heart and lungs. These conditions require constant monitoring to help keep her remain comfortable and to avoid hospitalizations. I then made an appointment so he could evaluate her. When we attended the appointment instead of asking me about the matter, he was brief and brusque and finally asked me about it. I went on to tell me what had happened and I could tell he was still bothered. Bothered by what: that his assistant couldn't provide me with test information; bothered that I had called into question his interest in treating geriatric patients; or just bothered that a lay person wanted more information from the many tests he ordered? I believe he is just a mediocre doctor who happens to be thin-skinned.

The test result shows I have a urinary issue. At that time I had no symptoms, so he wouldn't prescribe anything to clear it up. Big mistake. I had symptoms about two weeks later. I called the office and the message said contact my pharmacy and I did. I had to call the office again because they hadn't responded to CVS. I never got that prescription and I ended up getting an over the counter solution...That's not the worst. The worst is I have been on Rosuvastatin Calcium 10mg for 90 days per my insurance company because it's a maintenance drug. Dr Hanrahan personally prescribed the medication for my high cholesterol years ago. It's due to be refilled with -0- refills left. I contacted CVS so they can contact Dr Hanrahan's office and again no response from her office to CVS. Then, finally they gave me a 30 day supply with no refills...Yesterday, Thursday, March 26, 2026 CVS sent me a text and an email informing me that, "your prescriber has not responded to approve a 3-month supply for Rosuvastatin and that I need to call my prescriber. I need that prescription. I have a 3 pills left and then what. Dr Hanrahan what has happened to you. You ignore my request, you ignore CVS request. What do I do now??? What do I do in three days??? Let me tell you what I've tried to do. I found a new primary care Doctor. Unfortunately, I can't get a new patient appt until July 15, 2026 which I scheduled. I tried to get my medical records on your patient portal, however, it doesn't recognize me as a patient... In three days, I will suddenly be off of my Rosuvastatin Calcium 10 mg, prescribed by you. You and the other two Doctor's, in your, yes still your office until Sept 2026, should be ashamed of yourself for not prescribing a much, needed medicine. I asked her about disability and she yelled at me and said "we have nothing to do with that" and told me I "5 minutes too much of her time" and slammed the door while I was litterally in tears. Doctors are supposed to help and support you but she would not even recommend any specialist or document my problems when documentation is needed for any disability review.
