I believe the practice was sold to another person or company and that's why service has gone downhill so much. My friend and I both went to this office for years and now both of us can't get our prescriptions filled without calling multiple times to remind them after our appointments. They don't even answer the phone anymore. They just let an answering machine get it and then they don't call you back. The service is pathetic. Find a different doctor. We definitely will be. read more

I'm a patient. I had an appt on 12/16/25, I was suppose to be seeing Dr Hanrahan on that day, instead they assigned Dr Vishal Panchal. He told me that Dr Hanrahan is retiring in 09/2026 and only comes in 2 days a week. What was I suppose to do? So, of course I accepted Dr Vishal Panchal. He knows me 5 minutes and dictates how I should be living my life. I'm 70 years old. I listened to him and then I shutdown after his 10 minute speech... Let me start with my blood test results. The test result shows I have a urinary issue. At that time I had no symptoms, so he wouldn't prescribe anything to clear it up. Big mistake. I had symptoms about two weeks later. I called the office and the message said contact my pharmacy and I did. I had to call the office again because they hadn't responded to CVS. I never got that prescription and I ended up getting an over the counter solution...That's not the worst. The worst is I have been on Rosuvastatin Calcium 10mg for 90 days per my insurance company because it's a maintenance drug. Dr Hanrahan personally prescribed the medication for my high cholesterol years ago. It's due to be refilled with -0- refills left. I contacted CVS so they can contact Dr Hanrahan's office and again no response from her office to CVS. Then, finally they gave me a 30 day supply with no refills...Yesterday, Thursday, March 26, 2026 CVS sent me a text and an email informing me that, "your prescriber has not responded to approve a 3-month supply for Rosuvastatin and that I need to call my prescriber. I need that prescription. I have a 3 pills left and then what. Dr Hanrahan what has happened to you. You ignore my request, you ignore CVS request. What do I do now??? What do I do in three days??? Let me tell you what I've tried to do. I found a new primary care Doctor. Unfortunately, I can't get a new patient appt until July 15, 2026 which I scheduled. I tried to get my medical records on your patient portal, however, it doesn't recognize me as a patient... In three days, I will suddenly be off of my Rosuvastatin Calcium 10 mg, prescribed by you. You and the other two Doctor's, in your, yes still your office until Sept 2026, should be ashamed of yourself for not prescribing a much, needed medicine. I'm 70 years old and should not be in this shameful situation. Shame on you and your practice. read more

I was completely degraded and left in tears by Beth Hanrahan. I had cervical spine surgery from a spine institute that left me with severe nerve damage in what was my good arm, then severe chronic pain in my facet joints to the point I could not walk without it rubbing raw or turn my head. I had been a patient of Dr Hanrahan for 10 years at this point. After dealing with the neck pain for 2 years and being at the end of my witts asking for someone to help me. I asked her about disability and she yelled at me and said "we have nothing to do with that" and told me I "5 minutes too much of her time" and slammed the door while I was litterally in tears. Doctors are supposed to help and support you but she would not even recommend any specialist or document my problems when documentation is needed for any disability review. I lost my long standing career as an engineer and I lost everything trying to live on 19K a year from early 401K withdrawls. This woman should be ashamed of herself for the way she treated me. read more

they are the worst of the worst. been going there for about 2 years now , have never seen the doctor . needed a script to get an oxygen machine and it has taken weeks of back and forth to get it. i guess the doctor seems to think she is to good to see a person unless they are stinky rich. when my script runs out for heart meds i will find a real doctor. jim h sgt. usmc retired read more

My initial impression of Dr Hanrahan's practice was positive, but I have been forced to change my mind. The administrative staff decided that a mild paperwork inconvenience to them was more important than my survival. They declined to work with me to get a critical prescription refilled, and actually told me I need to get the US Social Security Administration to change its rules. The issue is one that every other medical practice I've ever dealt with has had no problem working around. It's usually as simple as a note in my file. Even this doctor's office had no problem with it the last time I needed a refill. But this time, "We're sorry, but we can't fix our paperwork. We don't care if the problem is caused by laws that existed in the 1980s that you have no choice about complying with." So now I have to find another provider, or go without a medication their own medical professionals told me is crucial to my survival. I consider that unacceptable. I'm convinced the medical staff are competent and care, but the office administrative and managerial staff should not be working for a doctor's office. Or anywhere else where slight inconvenience to them could cause major problems for anyone. read more

My mother and I have been going to Dr. Hanrahan's office for a while now, but this review has nothing to do with her or any of her nurse practitioners. It has everything to do with her office staff. There are 2 in particular that are so very rude each time I have the misfortune of having them answer the phone when I call. I do not know their names, but they both have hispanic accents. They hang up on you, interrupt you, talk over you, and are just so unnecessarily rude to you. Not to mention they make comments such as "I don't think the doctor is going to refill your prescription just like that," which is not their place, nor their business to say. They also refuse to communicate office policies to you, such as the one that states they look at refills each day after 5pm and send it to your pharmacy the next day. I had no idea if my refill was even going to get approved, so I kept calling because I needed it, and only after calling 4 separate times was I told that it was sent to my pharmacy. The wrong one, of course, because I moved and had no opportunity to communicate that because they didn't tell me I would actually be able to get my prescription. Bottom line, her office staff needs some serious customer service training. read more

I'm posting a second review, since my last one was a year ago. I'm still as impressed with Dr Hanrahan as I was a year ago. She's a great listener and a brilliant doctor. I see that she's had some staffing changes in the past year but I never had a problem with them. Debbie is the sweetest lady and always helpful. I don't know the others very well so no comment would be in order. IF YOU ARE HAVING HEALTH ISSUES, THIS DOCTOR IS AMAZING! read more

The first time I called to schedule an appointment as a new patient the lady that answered asked for my name and number and said " I will call you back because the phones keep ringing around here." I was taken back because she made it seem as if my call was not important and not with handling at that moment. Not to mention she never called back. The second time I called it was a different person who answered the phone. I called and told her I would like to schedule an appointment for a physical as a new patient. Then she said "well if you're expecting to have a physical on on your first visit it's not going to happen." I would have been okay with her saying that the first visit is just to get you established but instead she spoke with such a snarky tone in her voice. When your searching for a doctor, you're looking for someone that you can trust to help you take better care of yourself. The receptionists need some desperate customer service training. Its sad I've heard good things about this doctor. But I'll search for a location that offers better service all around. read more

I've been going to Dr. Hanrahan for over 20 years. She's the best. Listens without making me feeling as though I'm taking up too much of her time. I've had a dissected aorta, (John Ritter [Three's company] and others died from this) and 6 vertebrae fused, and a hip replaced. Dr. Hanrahan knew who to send me to. My husband made it through cancer as well as a heart attack. Again, Dr. Hanrahan saw us through it. She also recommends the best specialists who are competent and professional in the area for us to see. I have moved 1 1/2 hours away from her, and I won't see another primary care doctor. I just returned from another visit to her office. I think she's great! Go see her, she will work wonders both mentally and physically with you. read more

I have never in my life experienced such a lack of inexperience. I've worked for many Doctor's offices. I know what I'm talking about. I saw the Dr. once, which went well. The area is a little sketchy and there seems to be a rehab center or AA/NA meeting center upstairs. Not charming people. I discovered after a few weeks that I needed more blood tests. I was instructed to come in immediately. I told them I would check with my work and do my best. I however was not available, and tried to call back. All I kept getting was a 'busy signal' .....which I haven't heard in YEARS. I had my fiancé call throughout the night as I called the next day. Busy signal. I then find out they sent a certified letter to the wrong address and got another woman's signature on a legal document with a completely WRONG NAME to let me know they dropped me because they couldn't get ahold of me. I then proceed to fill my prescription, just to find out, she wrote my DOB in the date line. Not the actual date. I was not allowed to fill my prescription. I call back after weeks and finally get through. Just to find the Dr is gone for a least 2 weeks and wouldn't be able to fix my prescriptions. The receptionist gives me a number for a GI specialist per instructions of Dr. Hanrahan. I called, and it was a DERMATOLOGY OFFICE. MORONS! I'm done. read more

After nearly 3 years I received the first and only billing statement from Dr. Hanrahans office requesting a payment unbeknownst to me since this office absolutely neglected to notify me despite the fact that all of my contact information has remained unchanged and completely intact. I immediately contacted this office to naturally question the matter of the situation regarding the extreme time delay and had spoken to Diana who is in charge of billing at their office. While speaking to Diana she immediately became irritated and informed me she was new to the office and had been working there for approximately two months and was not aware of previous matters she was dismissive as well as condescending. I then attempted to speak with anyone else who could assist me who was not only pleasant but knowledgeable. I was refused this request unfortunately. Diane was rude defensive and most unprofessional. The level of adequate customer service that is needed especially in the medical field is severely lacking from her position. Such a shame Dr. Hanrahan and the rest of her medical staff have always welcomed my husband and I there And were very pleasant, but with Diana now part of the team it completely changed the positive atmosphere and certainly not for the Better. Unapologetic she is by attempting to blame my insurance provider and insinuating that it may Be a money issue by stating "If" I never received a previous statement. Knowing full well if they Had they'd prove it but she can't simply because this office didn't until a few yrs. later. That's a fact. read more

We are new to the area and Dr. Hanrahan was recommended. Both my husband and son have seen both Dr. Hanrahan and the nurse practitioner and have been impressed with both!! We are off to a great start in the practice and ALL the people we have come in contact with have been great!! read more

Dr. Hanrahan is the most kind, thorough and attentive Dr. I've ever seen. She listens intently and answers all your questions and concerns, in both medical and layman terms. Her small but dependable staff are to be commended. They are so nice, remember names and situations, and are very professional--No Gossiping! I feel safe and in good hands when I'm there and would recommend them to everyone. Ari Csiszar read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a service profession. They rush you in and out making you feel like you're imposing on their time. You cannot rely on what they say or do-- the PA says one thing then the doctor another. And you'll be lucky if you even get to see the doctor. Don't expect to ever talk to her on the phone. They don't have time or inclination to work with their patients. There are many, many other physicians in this area who actually treat you like you are a valuable person. You deserve better than what Dr. Hanrahan and her office staff have to offer. read more

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Hanrahan for about 25 years and couldn't be happier. Dr. Hanrahan and her staff are very caring and responsive. In Dr. Hanrahan's office, you know that nothing will slip by...she is so thorough and really explains all the possibilities and the options and what her recommendations are. I have a great deal of trust in her and am comfortable putting my health and my loved ones' health in her hands. We all bear responsibility for our health, but it is important to have a smart, on the ball, physician on your side. I have a son who is disabled and I trust Dr. Hanrahan to monitor his health and treat conditions as they arise. When she feels something is beyond her scope, she doesn't hesitate to say so and to refer us to a specialist she highly recommends. She feels like a part of the family to us and we wouldn't trade her for anything! read more

Dr Hanrahan was my PCP for just a short time and this review has nothing to do with the doctor or with the nurse practitioner, it has everything to do with the office manager. She needs a crash course in customer service because she is clueless in how to treat people, especially patients in your practice. The story is too long to get into on Yelp. I have been working in the medical field for 24 years and in all my years I would NEVER treat a patient the way I was treated. I am a dream patient. I pay my copay without being asked to and I don't call the office ever, just to make an appointment. They should all be as easy as i am. I have every intention of calling Dr Hanrahan and explain the story to her because I don't think it's fair to leave this review without explaining myself to the doctor. The office manager did call me the next day to apologize for her actions but that to me is too late! That apology should have come the second I said "I can't believe you are treating me this way" Dr. Hanrahan please pay more attention to the front office staff. They could make or break a practice. Doctors are on every corner and I have found one now that has an unbelievable staff and the doctor is amazing. read more

When I first started to see Dr. Hanrahan I had confidence in the referrals that I had received from other physicians and friends. If you need a partner and supporter in your healthcare, she and her staff are the ones for you! The last time I was there she told me I was paying her to be the one that worries, so I could just concentrate on getting better. She thoroughly explains everything and asks what choice do I feel best about. She doesn't pat you on the head, hand out a pill then swoosh you out. She engages and challenges you, and when you achieve progress she's your encourager and cheerleader. I Really trust her, and she has truly earned my trust. I just referred some friends to her and they were very grateful and loved her too. Rachel, the PA is competent, sensitive and engages you with the same sensitivity as Dr. Hanrahan and I know that she also communicates her evaluation and decision making for your care with Dr. Hanrahan, so, as the patient, you can be confident in your seamless caregiving. It's joy, joy, joy when Debbie calls to remind you of your appointment time, and then, when Alexa, the nurse, who's sweet, and sassy, the one who hugs you like a long lost friend, and listens to you with that calm of hers that lets you exhale no matter how worried you were. They are always flexible when making an appointment and they are obviously trying to do their best. read more

My husband and I were patients of Hanrahan for more than 10 years. We stuck with her when she stopped taking insurance because up until that time she had given us decent care as a primary. We put up with her quirky personality because she actually spent the appropriate/necessary time in each visit. Maybe this was because she was low on patient volumes due to only taking Medicare? We were much too young for Medicare so we paid cash and paid the out of network premiums and filed our own insurance forms. Once she started accepting insurance again, she no longer had room for us in her practice. I was sent a letter explaining that she could no longer treat me because I was non-compliant. To say the least, I was shocked that a physician had given me the boot. The non-compliance was that I had rescheduled my yearly physical twice. My employer insurance at the time required yearly annuals and I had ultimately moved it to the end of my qualifying cycle. I was in my early 40s, I had a little extra weight with elevated cholesterol. Her letter explained that I was a high risk patient and suggested I get follow up care. The letter implied I was at door's death. In retrospect it is very clear that she was making room for new, younger, and less complicated cases as she was accepting insurance again. I can only imagine that I was too much trouble from cost standpoint and time to be invested. definitely got impression that she was only wanting to deal with very simple medical problems. Additionally if you decide to see Hanrahan you may want to be aware of a few things: her staff is small and not so friendly including her nurse. Dr. Hanrahan's mood is unpredictable. One visit she can be the warmest, most understanding, and sympathetic doctor offering genuine concern. The next time she may be grumpy, short, and generally distracted. Dr. Hanrahan seems to be quite awkward with her social skills. As I said, we accepted her quirky, moody personality because she was a decent p.c. for many years. So proceed with high caution should you decide to see her. Be prepared to do everything she tells you and never reschedule your physical or you may be kicked to the curb! read more
