I literally stalked her on the Realself website for almost a year. I had an original plan for a specific surgery, but after seeing her amazing work on the "designer vaginas", i decided to go with that instead. I had a lot of excess skin from weight loss. For 25 years, I was at least 100 pounds overweight. I maxed out at 300 pounds. I knew I had made the right choice with choosing Dr. Traci Temmen to do my skinny BBL surgery. From my first consultation to my actual morning of surgery, I felt confident with having her as my surgeon~ especially after learning so much about her lipo technique, (I hope I explain it correctly) which, is of her using a special motor assisted cannula that breaks up the fat faster and easier, so she can concentrate more on contouring and perfecting the body. My SX date was 7/27/22. The entire process leading up to the OR felt nice. The nurses were all so sweet, i specifically remember one by the name of Andrea, I believe she was my recovery nurse, but I could be wrong. Dr. Temmen met with me again, we discussed my expectations and I showed her a "wish" pic, but I ultimately told her that I trusted her judgment 100% and told her she could do as she felt would be best for my body This is also when Dr. Temmen drew her surgery map on the areas she'd be working on. I also met with the anesthesiologist before going to the OR, she was this amazing lady who answered all of my questions, so I knew exactly how I would be put to sleep and all the steps leading up to surgery and during surgery to keep me asleep The general anesthesia part was the only thing that had worried me since I had experienced nausea with surgeries years before. I walked into the OR and everything felt magical from that second on no part of my surgery felt scary and knowing exactly what would happen made me extremely comfortable. The surgical bed is also warm My entire surgery took around an hour 1/2. Dr. Temmen removed 1,000 ccs of fat (a little over 4 cups) all 1,000 ccs were saved for her to re inject and mold the beautiful booty I now have. I woke up from my anesthesia fully suited in my new faja feeling soreness, but never feeling true pain. I was helped into a wheelchair and rolled to meet my boyfriend who had been waiting for me outside, I was helped into the car. The car ride was the most uncomfortable part of everything, but I thankfully only live 15 minutes away. Once home from SX, I felt better standing and walking around my house, I also ate, took my pain pills and anti nausea meds religiously every 6 hours until the next morning. I never felt pain. I am 45 yrs old, 5'4 and 127 lbs. I had always been interested in a BBL but was told by the plastic surgeon who had done my breast augmentation that I did not have enough fat to harvest and therefore would never be a candidate for a BBL. One year passed by and I came across a friend who had mentioned that she was scheduled for a "skinny BBL". I never even knew that a "skinny BBL" was a thing. Her and I were of similar size and weight and it sparked hope in me that perhaps my dream surgery was within reach. I wasn't looking for a huge bum after all, just one that would finally make me feel better in my jeans and body forming dresses...and of course a bathing suit. Most of all, I wanted to stop having to wrap a sweater around my waist everywhere I went to hide my bum. As a nurse practitioner, I sought out the best of the best. In my research, I realized that a BBL is not just about transferring fat to the bum, it's about sculpting the body around the bum to further enhance what you were already born with in addition to the fat that is transferred there. Needless to say, what little fat I knew I had, I wanted it in the best possible hands! In my opinion, any plastic surgeon can perform a regular BBL when they have plenty of clay to mold but it takes a very skilled plastic surgeon with an eye for detail who can perform this procedure on us more slender women because that is when it becomes more challenging. The surgeon must be patient and adept at harvesting fat from multiple areas and then transferring this precious fat to all the right places. I was told that 1100 ccs of fat was harvested...which did not seem much at all but as the overall swelling started to subside in the few days after surgery, I noticed as well as my masseuse that an incredible, natural silhouette began to emerge...she rounded out my bum and then sculpted my lower back, hips, waist and thighs to enhance the overall projection of my bum as well as my curves. I could not have been more thrilled and thankful for Dr. Temmen and her amazing staff for making my dream a reality. My experience from the moment I walked in to the office was exceptional. I flew in from out of state so I was even more nervous! I was greeted by a warm, friendly and professional office staff. I met Dr. Temmen and I had complete confidence that if there was anyone who could do this, it was her. She pulled up a stool and gave me her undivided attention. She was honest, realistic and most of all made me feel like she truly wanted to help bring my vision to life. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Temmen. She is knowledgeable and able to discuss surgical procedures in lay terms while ensuring that a patient's expectations for surgery are realistic. Her bedside manner is excellent, which should be necessary for all M.D.'s but is particularly important for plastic surgeons, given the types of work they do. The office staff were all friendly and responsive to questions, requests for documentation, etc. It was rare that I had to wait past my appointment time, and the couple of times I did it seemed that the morning surgeries ran long.
