I would not recommend. Very dissatisfied with this company. Do your homework before hiring. These are ONLY SOME pictures of the poor workmanships of this company. I was not going to write a review and just let it go, however this is extremely upsetting since this deck is fairly new and was pricey. To have this happen is frustrating as now we have to pay for another contractor to fix this problem as the structure is not safe. We used Trex as that was recommended due to less maintenance however the clips that were supposed to be place were not. We are currently having other contractors assess the deck and we our finding out there were many clips that were supposed to be placed were not even there. All I have to say is do your homework and hire someone that actually has good reviews, warranty, communication. We learned from our mistake in not doing our due diligence. Hoping this helps someone not have to go through what we are currently having to deal with. We will make an effort to review our next contractor now that we have learned to do our research before hiring a contractor. read more

Long on promise, short on delivery. And don't plan on talking with the workers who speak little English. Interpreters available through Project Manager who appears occasionally vice daily as promised during contracting. They were flexible with the project but price kept increasing and a 10 day project turned into a 20+ day endeavor. Also, don't expect trash to be taken care of daily. Shortly after posting my initial Yelp review, I received a call from Debbie, Palm Construction's QA manager. While she expressed concern about our experience, it quickly became clear that the primary reason for reaching out was to protect the company's reputation--not to resolve the issues. Debbie said she was "shocked" that we had been asked for the final 10% payment and claimed that internally it had already been decided we should keep that amount due to the poor quality of work and our experience. She told us the refund would be issued the following Monday. But then she asked if I would take down my Yelp review. I told her I was willing to update it but not remove it. That was over three weeks ago. We never received the refund, and there has been zero communication since. It now feels clear that the refund offer was never genuine--they were simply trying to "buy" the review off the platform rather than take responsibility. Since then, I've left multiple voicemails, including one about a new crack that has developed in the path--an issue that should be covered under their one-year warranty. Still no reply. The complete lack of follow-up or accountability is staggering. Palm Construction overpromises, underdelivers, and only responds when their public image is at stake. Our project was mismanaged from the start, with poor workmanship, delays, and no on-site oversight. Communication was spotty at best, and when we pushed back, the company became defensive instead of constructive. Their QA manager gave the appearance of concern, but ultimately made a hollow offer of compensation in exchange for removing our review--an offer they've since ghosted on. This company cuts corners, dodges responsibility, and demonstrates no real commitment to customer satisfaction. I would strongly urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere. Working with Palm Construction has cost us time, money, and peace of mind. read more

They did my bathroom and did a very good job but they forgot to to install the hand held shower and didn't notice it until the wall was enclosed. They would not fix it. The hand held was in the box with the shower head. I'm still waiting to get that fixed. read more

Palm Construction succeeded in exceeding my expectations for all. From the first meeting, John Cohen orchestrated all the subcontractors and timelines and frequently monitored the progress. The project started and progressed faster than I ever would have thought. I was caught off guard by how ready and able John's team was. I was thinking a few months. In less than a month, John landed the final details to a huge new deck, complete new floors downstairs (both carpet and luxury vinyl), new roof, concrete walkway, custom rug and repaired cracked walls. All of the subcontractors were equally impressive including the floor specialist Jonathan. Palm Construction has not returned my last call from a few weeks ago. I hired them to do a lot of renovations to my home. The contract stated that the ceilings would be scraped and painted. They just painted over the existing texture and told me they didn't need scraping. My realtor said I should talk to Palm and fix this. Secondly, they painted over my new lifetime guaranteed gutters I specifically told them not to. Debbie said my gutters had black mold! First I ever heard of this! Told me it looked better than if they hadn't painted them! I didn't think this was true and told her so. She said they had pictures. I said I like to see these pics, but she still has not responded. Thirdly, I told them I didn't think they rewired my house sufficiently because I often trip the new electrical fuse box they updated for me. I ruined 2 electric space heaters last year. Fourth, the water in my master bath smells bad. They installed 2 new sinks. It started smelling a couple of weeks after installation. I pointed it out to them, but they said they smelled nothing. Finally, a year later, after I called with a complaint list, they agreed to send someone out again. They took note of some of the electrical issues. They fixed an outdoor electrical outlet that I still can't use because the cover won't open. So much for Xmas lights. Fifthly, the wood beadboard they suggested would make my hall bath look gorgeous was pieced together poorly. The seams and cuts are quite visible. Sixthly, the exterior paint job on the trim in one area looks very bad. They just painted over a very bad trim board without replacing it. I am from an educated family. My father built 4 homes. My ex was a remodeling contractor who worked directly with some of Austin's top architects. I know what quality is supposed to look like. I am pissed! read more

I recently bought an older house that needs some work. Totally inexperienced, I was nervous about what I was about to get into. From the very first meeting with Josh from the Palm Construction, I felt relieved and confident that I can do this. 3 weeks later, we've removed the popcorn ceiling, replaced all the carpet with vinyl tiles, repainted the entire interior, repainted the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, repainted the covered patio and the concrete surface around the swimming pool, and also fixed the leaking patio roof. Their guy came by to give me an estimate on a fence and I was excited to get one. However, when the scheduler called, they asked if I wanted to get the neighbors to contribute and I indicated yes, but they hadn't moved in yet. They said they couldn't give me an estimate until I had the neighbors there to hear their sales speech. Guess what, I could afford to pay for the fence myself if needed and the estimate is supposed to be good for 6 months. Seems like they want to do time -share tactics. Its a fence for goodness sakes. My contractor, Nate, came and looked at the garage floor and said that I had his word that he would make it right. True to his word, a different worker came today and gave me the floor that I was expecting. It looks amazing and I am so happy with it. I worked with John Cohen (AKA: "RAZ") the sales representative. He was a fellow military veteran, so we hit it off immediately. He represented his company well. I explained I was looking to add an extension to my existing patio cover. We discussed my vision, and he suggested a metal roof versus a tile roof, and he explained why. He offered me some very attractive finance options which made moving forward a "no-brainer". We encountered a few bumps in the construction process, and John was eager to resolve the issues that came up. Even though it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped, John did his best to keep me happy. Now that the job is done, I am happy to have the project completed. I am getting a lot of compliments on the finished addition. The ceiling of stained Cedar is very nice and the fan and lighting are great. The destination was worth it, but the journey was a bit bumpier than I would like.
