I wish I would've looked at the reviews before I joined because this is got to be the worst tanning salon I've ever gone to. They have a manager there named Zoey who was extremely helpful, but they also have a manager their name Emma, who was not helpful at all... it turns out if the tanning bed does not work properly and shuts off on you After less than a minute of tanning they tell you too bad you can't tan today because you're already in the system so now you go home and get another tan the next day. It was no fault of mine that their machine did not work and yet I drove there 15 minutes each way it's a half hour out of my day for absolutely nothing and they would not accommodate me. So if the bed does not work and I take another chance on going there It's going to take up another one of my tanning sessions and supposedly there's nothing they can do about it. I was dreading signing up to tan before my wedding due to previous experiences at other tanning salons. It's normally a pushy experience. They try to upsell and take your money. The girl I had at this location was amazing. She was educational while also letting me pick my package. Every time I go in I get super great help. There have been 3 girls and 1 guy that have helped me and they are always so nice and seem happy to be at work. I hope others use this review as a decision maker to use the location. Aside from the awesome staff, the beds are all really nice. I do feel like I've enjoyed other spray tanning machines more than the one at this location but I'll only spray from time to time so it doesn't matter to me. I wanted to tanning I told the girl that worked there that I don't want to do a strong one Also I asked to get a cream that will help me to prevent getting burn She gave me a cream that 2 min after I applied it on my skin was on fire , my skin felt like I was in the sun for hours. All of the girls here are so friendly and super knowledgable about tanning/products. I usually bed tan, but the girl at the front desk got me into spray tanning as well, and i couldnt be happier!! Its never orange or blotchy, and i love they way it turns out exactly the same every time. first off, I am a very loyal customer for over 3 years. I pay a monthly membership plus an upgrade fee. I am a satisfied customer with the versa spray tan. It is expensive, but it is worth it. The facility is clean and the wait is never long. They usually get me in pretty quick, which I do appreciate. Unfortunetly, I did not care and appreciate my experience with the sales associate , Natalie. She doesnt know me personally, so i will not take it personally. However, I do deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, since i am a paying customer. She was aggressive, and well a bit of a bully and i did not care for her attitude with me, all because i wasnt interested in purchasing at home spray tan care. She acted as if i am the one with the problem. She would not respect my boundaries. I did not care for her aggresive demeanor. And it wouldn't hurt to smile and be more warm to the paying customer. Shes just flat out intimidating. I did not like how she talked to me. I am pleased with my spray tan results,so I will be back but hopefully i will be treated better by another associate. I go to the three Scottsdale locations depending on my work schedule and I have had nothing but issues at the location on Tatum at Desert Ridge. Spray tan booth wasn't working right so my right side was literally darker than my left side and it was very noticeable. I told the girl at the front desk, but I'm not sure it was fixed. Not the first time I've had an issue with the spray tan at this location. I need to start building a tan for my best friends wedding in CanCun in early December so I decided not to spray and use regular beds instead. I am fair skinned and tan easily. I haven't tanned in a while so the first couple visits usually zap me pretty good. I went into bed number 1 which is usually a good one. The first two days in a row....nothing! I have a very busy schedule so have little patience for wasting my time. I don't know if these are franchises but the other two Scottsdale locations are much better and I will go out of my way to go to those salons and avoid this one. If they are owned and managed separately, they should start over at the Tatum location. I pay for the unlimited and it's very expensive. Not happy about the waste of my money and time. read more

new management I asked a few questions about my spray tan before hand, the way I was responded to made me feel like me being there was an inconvenience. Fast forward to the next day, my spray tan didn't turn out right. I called and again my call seemed like such an inconvenience to them. Their reasoning was that my spray tan "over developed" because I left it on too long. Yeah right! I left it on for maybe an hour and 30 longer than recommended. There's been times in the pasts where I had to sleep in my spray tans before showering and they turned out completely fine. anyways after 5 minutes of blaming me and stating things I couldve done wrong( with an attitude) I was offered a re spray, as soon as I accepted the free respray they immediately hung up. It probably was my fault but they couldve at least been nice about it. it happens I am a nice and bubbly girl, I work in customer service, I was nice and smiling the whole time when I came in. Not sure what the problem was, maybe they were having a bad week or something. Anyways I miss the people who used to work here, they were so sweet and actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I absolutely love this specific palm beach. The staff is awesome and very educated on everything you possibly need to know about tanning. Every time I go to this location I have a great experience! I highly recommend to ask for Phae the manger if buying products she knows exactly what she is taking about and will not steer you in the wrong direction. read more

I personally don't like this location. The front desk girls are snobby and rude. They really have no knowledge about the beds. Also this location doesn't have many beds and is a very dark inside. Unbelievable horrible!! I just wanted a one time spray tan. Immediately it was a sales pitch to sell a package. They said it was 50.00 for one mystic tan, which is insane for a booth tan, or 65.00 for a monthly membership. You can get a professional airbrush tan for 50.00. They could care less that I left. The facilities are okay... Nothing to marvel over - but they get the job done. They are usually pretty clean and the wait is never too long. The front desk girls are nice but I have to say, I'm starting to get super frustrated with the communication or lack of it at this salon. My account has a very slight misspelling and they can never find me in their system when I come in. I always have to remember to misspell my own name to get access to a bed. The manager is happy to take my money each month but can't make this tiny correction that I've asked to be done since April???? There are three girls that work regularly that just know my name is misspelled and always apologize since they are unable to fix it and always say "I'm so sorry, I'll remind my manager again..." I know it might seem silly but it really gets annoying and it is SO SIMPLE to fix! Also, do not purchase upgrades when they offer them unless you plan to use them immediately ... This is they only salon I have ever been to that allows upgrades to expire! I've lived in three states and I still have upgrades from other salons in those states that I use when I visit... This place is just trying to get an extra buck and then hope you won't use your upgrades. I bought a few in April and I went out of town when I came in today I was told they had expired.... Annoying money down the drain. Lastly, two of the beds I use have broken doors so they don't close all the way and lock- kinda creepy. I'm not a shy gal so whatever but they've been broken for over a month and I've heard other customers asking if the can switch rooms (yes, you can - btw you need to purchase and upgrade) seems convenient or that the owner just doesn't care. I have called on several occasions just to directly let the store manager know but when I call the ladies tell me she isn't in today or she is super busy and will get back to me. What a great tanning salon! I was nervous about coming here because they are so corporate and some of the other reviews said that it was high-pressure sales. But when I came in a tan for the promotional week I was treated with such wonderful respect and feel so energized about tanning again! Alena mccambridge was who helped me most of the week and she was so cool. Offered me lotion but was not high-pressure at all and that made me extremely comfortable and at ease. Thank you so much for being such a fun person to talk to. So knowledgeable! I came in for the final night of the dollar tan week and Jordan help me out and he was really nice as well. They always make sure I get my specials and deals when they are available to me so I never miss an opportunity to get upgrades or discounted product! I should have checked the reviews before coming here. The blonde (manager, I do not recall her name) had terrible customer service skills and did not treat me with respect. This was the situation- I bought a tanning subscription in a Maryland location, and was told I could use it at other Palm Beach Tan locations. When I arrived, I was told I wasn't in the system and that was that- I called my Maryland location and they explained to me that I was in the system but that my subscription typically cannot be transferred out of the Maryland/DC/Virginia area, but as a courtesy the Arizona location should allow me to tan anyways due to the situation and misunderstanding when I bought my package. Arizona rudely denied to both me and the Maryland girls calling them. They also stated that "corporate" will not allow them to do that", the Maryland advised me otherwise and that corporate would not be happy with the treatment from this Arizona location. Maryland girls also gave me courtesy tans for the inconvenience over the phone. I hope you (Arizona location) take this as constructive criticism to not speak down on your customers and other Palm Beach Tan locations. read more

I wish I would of read these other bad reviews before I tried this place. Learn from my mistake! They do a hard sell to get you to sign up for the membership and after being reassured and noted in my account that I could cancel and get my money back as long as it was within the 30 days, if I am not satisfied. I went in to cancel today and the girl at the front desk canceled my membership but never heard of the 30 day money back guarantee. She called her manager and told me to wait to talk to her because she was on her way. When the manager got there, she said she could not give me my money back even though there was a note (by her) on my account verifying the 30 day guarentee because I did not use their primer when I tanned. I have spray tanned at many places and have always had awesome results and never use a primer. I was unhappy with the tan, the salon process and almost importantly with their lack of integrity! read more

I used this salon for over a year- I stopped my membership about 4 months ago for no reason in particular. I went back yesterday and of course they wanted to charge me a $20 sign up fee- although I've been tanning with them for a long time. They said they couldn't wave the fee. The problem is, in the year that I tanned with them I had to call corporate on three different occasions because the staff didn't know what they were doing regarding billing/policies etc. I was hesitant to go back yesterday, and of course- they were not accommodating from a business standpoint, so I did my one time tan and told them I will be getting a membership elsewhere. I went to this tanning salon last year in May for a wedding and I got the fast active tan medium to dark and it was great I paid 60+ dollars for it, well this time I went in January and got the same thinking it will be the same effect well the girl in the front desk ripped me off completely! I paid almost $70 and when I got out I was tan. She told me that I can shower within 3-5 hours I waited 7h and once I showered everything came off!!! Soooooooo, the staff at this location is amazing. Fae is amazing. All the employees are hardworking and very friendly. However the AC HAS NOT WORKED IN OVER 2 weeks. These poor employees are suffering. I emailed palm beach a week ago. I was told I would get a response in 24-48 hours. That was 1 week ago. NOTHING!!!! I went in today, they have no AC. Why am I paying a lot of money a month to go in and sweat and leave my bed because it is too hot to deal with. I believe that Taylor who worked there before becoming district manager knows exactly what is going on and is not doing anything to help this location. I find it despicable. Losing Fae is terrible. She truly helped me when I had issues, and always made sure I was happy. I know many people who go here and I will be letting them know what is happening. I will also be asking for my money back since each time I go I can only do a few minutes and leave because it it sooooo incredibly uncomfortable. This place is clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. But quite possibly the WORST spray tan I have ever received. I spray tan often and normally would go to ProTan which was bought out by Palm Beach Tan. Well I looked streaky and orange. It was awful, I spent the next 3 days scrubbing my skin of the horrible color. AND they want to charge $55 for a spray tan. Do yourself a favor and go buy a bottle of Jergens and save yourself the money. Their product is clearly cheap. Definitely will not be back. read more

Love this salon! The girls are so knowledgeable about every bed, spray, and product! Ive never felt better about my skin and color. The girls showed me the differences of lotion and found the perfect one for my skin type. I don't care about the cost because I know that these lotions are top of line unlike the ones online because you never no what maybe inside. Plus when I do spray tanning I've never turned orange or streaky because they are the only tanning salon that has the newest technology in spray tanning!
