I don't need a 2 month membership and was willing to pay whatever for even just a month or individual sessions but the way the dark hair women interrupted the girl I was initially speaking with to tell me this made me never want to give my money to this establishment. She was rude and I have never heard of somewhere not being able to do anything aside from a 2 month membership. read more

If you want to get significantly less tan while paying for a membership to get you tan.... This is your place! Beds are always broken therefore you either leave in frustration or have to wait for a bed, often times a line in front of you for the bed. (I'm talking a month + for a broken bed)..... or you just don't go resulting in losing your bronze. On top of beds being broken, often times when they finally get new bulbs or the bed is finally fixed- they force you into going half the time of your full tanning session. This is ridiculous and seems like a money grab on the salons part. I've had enough of the poor ownership of this salon and will be looking elsewhere. The people that work at the salon get 1 million stars the upper management gets -1,000,000 stars. When the people have to explain to us, customers who are paying a lot of money for the diamond package that the bed is not as good as it should be because the workers who brought in the bulbs broke them. This has been an ongoing situation and it's not so much about the tanning beds. It's about the girls that work there who have to take the brunt end from customers because upper management can't do their job correctly. I would hope that you would get on this as soon as possible because it's not fair to the people who work there, who have to talk to us every time we come in and explain why maintenance can't seem to bring bulbs in without breaking them.‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ Ps: this is such a typical answer from you, Penelope! I really hate to write a poor review but after 3 chances it's necessary. I have been at this location on a membership for a year and a half. I was on the monthly membership which was great until recently. I usually spray tan once a week and the tan would last. The past 3 months the tan only lasts around 3 days when the booth is actually working. On 2 visits in the past 2 months the spray booth was down. I was told I would have to spray in another booth and there would be an additional charge for the upgrade. When I questioned why I would be charged for an upgrade when their equipment wasn't working I was told they were sorry, that was the option. This time I was in the booth being sprayed and the booth shut off mid spray leaving me tan on one side and not the other. This is rather inconvenient as I have an event I was spray tanning for. I had to get dressed to let them know that the booth was not working. (It was down last week too) This time the young lady at the desk was actually helpful and offered to reset the bed for me. She was wonderful which has not been the case in the past with other employees. Had the booth not been down last week I probably would have taken the offer for the reset. Instead I decided it was best to cancel my membership. I had been struggling with this decision all week. I'm so disappointed because at one time this location has great customer service and I always left with a flawless tan. Sadly this is no longer the case. It just doesn't make sense to keep paying for a monthly membership with booths that do not function 50% of the time. The quality of the spray tans are no longer exceptional as they once were. I rarely write a poor review. I now have to find a solution to having half a tan before my event this week. read more

Bad first impression. I only went here not because I heard good things but because it's conveniently close to my job so I can get a tan in after I'm off. The place is clean and looks nice but the staff was very unpleasant. She was fairly nice through the process of setting up my account but she kept insisting that I buy some tanning lotion or the beds won't work. Why would I tan in a bed if it didn't work without tanning lotion?... I then insisted back that tanning lotion would irritate my skin and that I would prefer not to use any. I just really don't like using sticky gross lotion with color in it and I have gotten many good deep tans without any lotion. She then tries to sell me hypoallergenic lotion. Ugh. Just listened because I'm not one to interrupt but my mind was still made up. We get to the end of my account setup and my charge is like $40 I think..? And so of course I ask if that's including any tanning lotion and guess what. She went ahead and added the hypoallergenic lotion for $12 but I never said yes to any of that. Wow Not sure if it's the company's fault for pressuring up-selling on their employees or their employees are that money hungry for some commission... read more

If I could give this review a "0" I would. I called to inquire about options and prices and was told I could get one tan monthly for a recurring fee of $14.95. After I signed up and paid the $20 activation fee, I was told that I would need to start adding "cartridges" for additional fees. I was not given any info about these add-on charges but reluctantly paid over $10 more for a very mediocre tan that lasted less than three full days. Upon my second visit, I expressed I felt mislead as I now needed to but even more "cartridges" to get a better tan than my previous visit. The additional charge recommended was over $17 (over and above the monthly fee already charged to my account that month). The staff member responded, "well we are corporately owned, so..." To further validate my concerns, I asked the staff member what would happen if I added no cartridges and she replied, "you would get literally nothing (color). " I've had spray tans at other locations and never had an experience like this. The staff are not helpful or empathetic. The company ethics are entirely absent. I recommend if you are in the area to alternatively use Pure Benefits Aesthetics and Wellness, as their staff is friendly, helpful and honest - something all consumers value and deserve. No hidden charges and a much better tan for less money. read more

This place is literally a joke. They advertise unlimited spray tans for fifteen bucks a month but then tell you it's actually 89bucks a month and you only get one spray monthly for the 15. Please don't lie to my face. And don't waste people's time who respond to your drive by ad and come into your store misled. Worse yet, Staffing here is woefully insufficient. We've come home to tan! After being away for a couple of years, we popped back in to PBT today to scope it out and possibly renew old memberships. We were pleasantly greeted by ALI, who walked us thru their options for renewing. What a sweetie! We were pleased to see how clean every single aspect of the salon was! It was sparkling and completely safe for social distancing. Bought ourselves a couple of platinum packages, cooked for a few minutes in the beds, and offered a "toodle-loo" and a promise to return tomorrow. Y'all go check it out! Classy place! read more

This is a gem of a spot! From Taylor, Allyssa, Abby, Cameron and Dam.... each person I have encountered over the past month have gone out of their way to say hello and make me feel welcomed! The salon is VERY CLEAN, and there are several high powered beds available even if your favorite one may being used when you get there. The spray tan machine is also great.... It is hit or miss. I typically call other locations when I am confused because some of the rules/operations are downright confusing. This is the first time that I have ever had problems/misunderstandings with the way a tanning salon works. 1) I had a free spray tan once, and the way it sounded was that I had to buy a bronzer, etc. to get my spray tan. I wanted whatever was free, no extras. Well, I ended up paying $5 dollars for a bronzer that I feel made absolutely no difference in my color. 2) I had an email that said "Free tan week - Free sunbed tans and free member upgrades." At my previous salons, the way this worked was that all members got a week of free upgrades. As the ad states "free member upgrades" with an (s), I assumed I would have a week free of upgrades. That wasn't the case and I had only 1 day within the week that I could upgrade. The ad is/was misleading. 3) The 25th of each month I have to declare if I'm going to downgrade/upgrade/freeze/cancel my membership. I had a gold membership and wanted to downgrade to the silver membership. I paid for the entire month for a gold membership and was told if I wanted to downgrade/upgrade it would take place immediately (that 25th). But, I paid for a whole month of the gold bed and was not going to downgrade the last week for something that I had paid for. So, if I froze my account, I was able to continue in my gold bed. So I froze it instead. Very frustrating. I should be able to tan the entire month in the bed/membership that I paid for and begin my upgrade/downgrade the 1st of the next month. 4) I came into the store to unfreeze my membership. My past membership was a gold. I wanted to start-up in the silver bed instead this time. I was told that I could not downgrade/upgrade until my account was unfrozen. I would have to pay the prorated amount for the gold bed and I could use the silver bed. I said that i was not going to pay for a gold bed and use a silver bed, that makes absolutely no sense. I don't understand why I can't choose whichever bed/membership I want to. I wasn't locked into the gold membership. At previous salons, again, when I came to unfreeze my account, I was asked which membership I was going to go with. I have very many frustrations here. The woman I worked with to unfreeze my account was really the only helpful one. She seemed a little frustrated while we were working through the problem, but after I apologized (which I should not have had to when asking questions), she said it wasn't my fault. She asked how I liked my bed after resolving the issues that we had and told me to try the other beds as well. When I spoke with the another (on other occasions - not the unfreeze), she was very frustrated and looked downright annoyed by my questions. She tried to upsell me (the free tan and bronzers) when all I wanted was my free tan. She said, "even I pay for those." I didn't want one to begin with. However, she was helpful when I started my membership. I've worked with her since and she's fine. Maybe it's just the entire corporate salon that I don't particularly care for. In general, I am frustrated with how PBT tanning salon operates. If an ad states something, it should be taken as it as read and there should be absolutely no confusion. I will most likely be canceling my membership after my month is up and going to another salon. read more

The assistant manager Tatum feels it okay to be in her personal phone calls and ignore what clients are requesting. Then have a wonderful attitude and delete on free upgrades and tell clients that's don't pay for it so it shouldnt matter! I should have read the reviews before going here and signing up for the unlimited package. Bottom line, it's a scam. Please don't support this scandal. 4 days ago I stopped by for the $15 advertised spray tan. After 10 minutes of a sales pitch, I agreed to the $66/month unlimited membership. Even that was over my budget but wait, it gets better. $20 activation fee not mentioned until I'm signing paperwork. Then I'm told that I need to at least add one toner to match my skin tone and an accelerating bronzer to eliminate orange tones. I said I was already over budget, what if I skip the extras. The girl politely told me it's my choice but I will turn orange or not even activate the tan at all if I don't add the extras suggested. So, another $10.37. So my first visit I left with a $96.77 bill. The tan developed but was barely noticeable (I ordered medium.) 3 days later the tan was completely gone, and I did not shave or exfoliate those days and I did moisturize as recommended. So I went back today, day 4 and asked for the dark tan. A different girl was working today, but again I was told I would have to get the toner & accelerator or I would be wasting my time. I conceded and got the exact same as before, but this time it cost $12.96 and 4 days prior the identical 2 items were $10.37. So within 4 days of signing up, I'm embarrassed to admit I've been scammed out of $109.73. I will definitely be canceling. What a rip off. Sad this kind of company is still in business. read more

So many negative reviews so i had to post this! I am a tanning bed virgin and I recently decided to join PBT. (i got the gold membership for bed tanning). I am so pleased so far with the friendliness, knowledge, and overall positive vibe of the staff and the salon. Bailey and Madison helped explain everything i needed to know about the memberships, and bed tanning in general. They also helped me pick out a great lotion (i got the Astonish tanning lotion, in a blue bottle. works great!). The next time i came in, Bailey was working. She remembered me and asked how everything was going, and if i liked the lotion so far. She took the time to show me a couple of the beds she recommended i try next time. So far i would absolutely recommend PBT Northsight to anyone looking to dive into the world of bed or spray tans. read more

I've been a customer for almost 3 years and in October paid for a full 12 month subscription. I rarely tan since I'm Italian and one session keeps me tan for like 2 weeks. I have since moved and the closest location is about 30 min from where I now live. I asked for a prorated refund even at the normal monthly rate and I was told there are no refunds. Typical tanning salon. Fees Fees Fees. No customer service. No consideration. I'm not even asking for a discounted refund just prorated as if I had paid the normal monthly fee. Be careful about memberships and don't buy any of their lotions etc. It's a waste. Cheaper and better online or even the same brands online much cheaper. Don't get suckered into using them. This place is clean, they have great beds, the prices are low for what you're getting. The spray tans look natural. However, the newer staff is not nice. Destiny and Ashley took forever to look at anything on my account. Fed me wrong information, and when I inquired or corrected them they got almost hostile. Told me that I didn't have an upgrade on my account and that an email I was sent was incorrect (the email said I had 30 days to use a spray tan and Destiny waved at my face and told me I only had a week). They talked down to me and acted like I was beneath them. I will be canceling my membership and going elsewhere. I loved this place and the staff but since I've been back they're so unfriendly that I wanted to walk out and not tan after I got into my room. read more

This was first experience using a tanning salon, so my review is completely based on my only experience which is at this location. My four star review goes to: -Customer service, 9/10 times there are very friendly employees and many of them recognize my husband and I when we walk in--always a nice thing. Austin is great :) -My husband and I pay as much as our gym membership, which is a plus! Good prices and there are often specials or upgrades that come free or at a low price. -Tanning beds are clean and the front lobby is appealing, HOWEVER, I generally use one room when I go in and the same dust bunny/hair...something...has been there since we started about 6 weeks ago. The bed itself is clean, but I actually bring in my own towel to stand on so I don't put by feet or clothing on the floor. My wife and I were frequent users last year, we generally like to10 prior to heading on vacation so we have a base tan. When returning from our vacation I put my account on hold and paid the monthly fee for over nine months. My credit card was stolen and I got a new number. The store attempted to run my old card for three months but each time came back declined of course and each time assessed an additional $20 fee. I recently went back to start tanning again and they informed me that not only did I owe the extra three months of payments but an additional $60 because of the decline charges. No one called me to tell me the credit card had been declined and they needed a new one. The manager there was extremely unhelpful, and the staff were generally rude and indignant regarding my account. I offered to pay the missed months if they would waive the additional $20 charges however they said it is not their policy. So my wife and I canceled their memberships and will not be going back. Very poor customer service, otherwise the facility is generally clean and fine. We will be trying celebrity tan equal distance from our home. Very poor customer service. Should have listened to my gut and others reviews. The people there lied about the "program" I felt cornered to continue I ended up leaving upset. Hardly worth what I paid also. I found another salon that has amazing prices (half the price) and so much more equipment its ridiculous. They're also up front and honest. If you are consider a tanning salon I suggest Planet Beach Way before Palm Beach. It's amazing there and they have red-light uv with your package also aqua massages everyone is peaceful and kind. My aunt loves it here so I thought I'd try it out. It was my first time and they offered me a deal for 14.95 with no commitment but even with "no commitment" they couldn't charge me that price because I had a temporary card my new card is in the mail. I asked if they could honor the price still or have a first time deal and they said no and charged me 40 so almost 3 times the original offer price. Do NOT sign up for any memberships here! You can only go in person to cancel the membership. I have been out of town and unable to meet in person. Therefore I am stuck paying. I tried canceling over the phone and they told me fill out a form online. So I filled out the form and they told I would need to write a letter and that the autobill cut off date was on the 25th. I'm stuck paying for another month. I did not even want this membership. The staff is very pushy. Lot of other tanning salons to choose from in Scottsdale.
