I LOVE my Palm Beach Tan in Mission Viejo! YaYa makes sure everyone there is trained to answer every question I have EVER had. I just had surgery so I'm having the Red UV to help with the healing now. I am looking forward to getting my tan back. I LOVE being tan!!!!! read more

Gone 5 months now and I'm very happy that I left. I was a PBT customer for almost 15 years when I left because of the horrendous Customer Service and the grossly overpriced services and add-on charges. PBT also has no interest in providing any Customer Service. Please see my previous review for specifics. The new Manager "Ya Ya" is very rude, dismissive and condescending. And by the way, I was finally able to talk to the director of operations (Lacey), who ultimately offered me a couple of "red light therapy sessions", and a lot of excuses for her staff's behavior. I couldn't be happier at my new Tanning Salon "Rockstar Tan". There prices are MUCH LESS THAN PALM BEACH; no ridiculous add-on fees and most memberships are all-inclusive. You NEVER need to wait for a bed or a spray booth at Rockstar Tan. They have shorter times and stronger bulbs in their beds, and they just got a brand new Mystic spray. They have a ton of beds. They also do custom air brush spray tans. The best thing is that the entire staff are wonderful. They have a great attitude. They're extremely helpful and very friendly. read more

This place is a scam!!! They will over charge you!!!! I tried canceling my membership twice, and they still charged me for an additional month. They claimed there was no documentation showing I requested cancellation, but the only way to cancel is in person. I went in to cancel and was told I would receive an email confirmation, which I never got. I asked a second time and still never received anything. Then I was charged again for another month. On top of that, the manager was extremely rude and completely dismissive when I explained that I had already tried canceling. She genuinely did not seem to care at all. read more

So bummed! Looked forward to my spray tan all day today as multiple people told me I looked pale and asked if I was okay today. Going through my second miscarriage and got off work (what I thought was) just in time to get one tonight. I was SO happy. And they were locked before the time they're supposed to close. So bummed. read more

0/10!!!!! They are liars. They do not have good workers. We cancelled a membership well before it was expired and they said no we don't have that on record. You need to pay. I'm sorry what? They have no communication with each other. Save your time. Please. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. I was lied to, overcharged, and when I went back to address the issue, no one took responsibility or even apologized. Absolutely terrible customer service. I do not recommend this place. read more

Unfortunately, my daughter and I had a very frustrating experience with membership cancellation at this location. My daughter had the premium membership and I was listed as her guest. We went into the salon before the cancellation deadline and specifically requested to cancel the membership. The employee helping us appeared to cancel MY profile instead of my daughter's account, which we later discovered when I was told my profile had to be "reactivated." At the time, we also asked for proof of cancellation and were told we would receive a call and email confirmation, but neither ever happened. When my profile was reactivated, I again asked staff about my daughter's membership and was told that "we should be good" and that the girl that cancelled my profile was a borrowed employee because they are short staffed. Despite this, we are now being told another monthly charge is due because the cancellation was supposedly never completed correctly. What made the situation even more disappointing was the way it was handled by Ya Ya. Instead of trying to understand the confusion or help resolve the issue, she was dismissive and told me that I had "signed a contract." I understand there are policies in place, but customers should not be held responsible for staff mistakes and miscommunication -- especially after making multiple good-faith attempts to cancel and confirm the account status before the deadline. I am very disappointed with their customer service! read more

Came in here with a ridiculous idea to spray tan an American flag on my back for the 4th of July. The ladies made it happen, quality work, awesome vibes and customer service. I've never used a tanning bed or received a spray tan before, but the ladies got me dialed in! If I ever do it again, I'll be coming back to Palm Beach Tan thanks again ladies read more

Staff is friendly and at times quite entertaining. Manager does a good job of bringing value to customer service skills.

Recently moved from San Diego and I'm so happy I picked this place. Lindsay (sp) was so helpful and friendly. I did the standup and LOVED it. This place is ridiculously better than the iTans I was used to in downtown San Diego. It is under renovations but the rooms are ready to tan. read more

I've been a customer of Palm Beach Tan for a little over a year. On my most recent visit to the Mission Viejo location, I was told my monthly service includes only one of the spray tan machines. If I wanted to use the other one, there would be an additional charge. I have used several different locations over the past year, including the Mission Viejo location. I've never been told this before. When I tried to explain that to Alyssa, the front desk girl, there was no explanation or proof of what my $70 monthly service dues include. She was very rude and indifferent. I will be cancelling my services. There are many options out there. read more

My 1st visit & impression exceeded my expectations as a new spray tanning client. I was greeted immediately entering the salon and also received a salon tour while being educated on the different options available. I owe this 5 star visit to an employee name Yoarely. She ensured my full experience was exceptional from her warm greeting, salon tour, thorough spray tanning instructions, and even made a point to make sure I knew the after care instructions before leaving. I will be an ongoing customer because of the service I received. Follow up review to give a shout out to employee Lindsay. She answered all questions regarding around the developing process and she made great product recommendations and explained everything in such great detail. Before exiting the salon, Lindsay went out of her way to share their membership benefits and broke down the savings and value. After our conversation, I felt confident and excited to enroll. Having this membership has encouraged me to look my best week over week. read more

Absolutely love this salon. Every time I come in the staff is so friendly and accommodating to any questions I may have. Thank you to Soph for always going the extra mile to be super kind and recommending the best lotion I've ever used. They stay up on making sure their beds bulbs are replaced when needed and up-kept to the best standard. If you're looking for a clean, well priced salon with super friendly staff I 10/10 recommend this place! read more

It seems every other time I'm here a machine is broken and there is a wait for the working one. Not good. read more

Really bummed about my experience at this location. I came in for a spray tan and was told the instructions were displayed on a screen in the room. The machine must have been working incorrectly because there were zero instructions. I told the employee after and she responded with 'oh I just thought you knew what to do.' After I expressed concern that I spent $65 on a spray tan that I don't think I accurately got, she said I'd be fine and apologized for the machine not working. Here I am the following day with zero color before a trip and wasted $65. read more

I go to a few of the Palm Beach tan locations and really enjoy this one. The staff is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable, it's always clean, and always opens on time. I see Hailey the most and she's a gem! I worked at a tanning salon decades ago and know it's harder than it looks, especially when busy. I am impressed by how fast they keep customers moving and have never had to wait long. I have also overheard challenging customers and the service is great, which must be through good training by the owner. As an employer, I also know how hard it is to keep good staff (especially these days!) so please keep whatever you are doing to hire and keep great staff! read more

WHAT A RACQUET! I froze my membership last June and only did so because I was told it would avoid my having to pay a new membership fee WRONG! I went in today and was told it would be $70+ to restart and that I had $90 credit on my account that CANNOT be used towards my restart but only towards purchasing product. I asked the "manager" what the best product was and she showed me a purple bottle and a pink bottle and let me smell them both. I liked the fragrance of the purple bottled one so asked how much it was and she told me $195, i about came out of my shoes! BUYERS BEWARE! This place is a complete RIPOFF and are now holding my $ hostage! CROOKS! read more

I came into this salon without any knowledge with tanning. It was my first time and had no idea what to expect. I was greeted by Sydney, who took time to help me understand how the process would be. This salon has done a great job working with Yelp to get reviews taken down. This location is riddled with cock roaches. The prices are also way higher than others. $45 for 1 spray tan and sooo much more to make it "bronze" and add features that I bought my membership for. One spray tan costed my $75!!! What? The salons also close earlier than any other tanning salon in California. I get off work at 6 and so I no longer have time to tan here. I canceled my membership bc of the roaches but will never go to another location due to poor cleanliness, lack of respect towards employees, their 24 hour tanning rule and the fact that they close so early. Hopefully others are able to read this before they pay yelp to take it down. read more

The salon opened over 20 minutes ago and no one is here. There are four people sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to open up. This is totally unacceptable read more

This location has has a broken spray booth for over a month and every time I go, it is at least a 35+ minute wait for the ONE booth they have. This has to be rectified. Your rent for this huge space can't be cheap and the broken booth is a waste of space. Your customers are pissed. Fixed this issue. read more

This tanning salon is spotless and employees are attentive and welcoming. The machines are in good working order. Shout out to Gabby, who was my first contact with this establishment. She didn't try to sell me on anything. She just helped me make a good decision! read more

Very nice clean place with pleasant staff. I will be going back and recommending to friends.

The only reason I'm not giving zero stars is because of the manager and due to the fact it's not an option. Haven't tanned since covid started. Saw that they charged my account. Took my money and then tried to say that I owe for two months of inactivity. You would think that they would be doing audits of their memberships to see activity. Just lost a customer. Covid must of really tanked this place if they are that greedy. Such a shame. Enjoy the overpriced experience. Just gross. read more

Went here for a few months at the end of summer/early fall to really "lock in" my tan before winter hit and I would no longer be able to lay out. Great facility, nice-enough staff (really hit or miss, depends on who you get) felt clean and safe even with COVID and the pricing is totally fair. Overall a nice experience, nothing "wow fantastic" but what do you expect from a tanning salon, doesnt need to be anything fancy! read more
