American Fork PBT is the BEST! Addie is my favorite and always answers my questions and is so happy to be there. All the staff there is personable and gets you in and out quickly. An easy location right off the freeway. After a base tan, just a few times a week keeps a nice tan without looking like a ghost or a pruned raisin. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've been going to Palm Beach tan for the last year but a different location. I decided to try this location on Monday because I was in the area. I have never ever ever had this happen to me. The girl put me in room 4. I'm thinking the bed wasn't cleaned so I got the hives from that. And maybe they got a new bulb and the girl didn't say anything... (other locations always warn people if they switch out a new bulb and have them go a shorter amount of time.) I am now dealing with this pain days later and will probably last at least another week. My hands are so blistered and so ugly. It's safe to say I will NEVER EVER be coming to this location again. Just warning everybody else that comes here, maybe avoid this location in general or just avoid room 4.... read more

I went in on a Saturday morning before a trip to try out a "free" spray tan. The girl at the counter recommended I pick a tone to add to the spray tan, I didn't know that cost extra. She also recommended I get the primer for $10 so it would last longer. I assumed the primer would be sprayed on evenly before the spray tan but it was just a sample size package of lotion to put on myself. the tan started fading after only a few days and I just looked dirty by day 4 or 5. read more

Palm Beach is an amazing tanning salon! Javen was awesome at explaining the different packages and the benefits of each one. I was sold once I saw their luxurious selection of tanning beds. I LOVED the customers and I LOVED helping everyone; I just couldn't deal with the owner anymore. Sorry I am not there to help you. Jessica- It is true. The employees there do work for commission. Not only do they work for commission but they have a goal to hit daily. When they don't hit that goal not only do they lose out on commission but they also hear about it from the lovely man Jeffrey talked about. Too many "bad" days of not hitting their goals and they don't have a job. Unfortunately some employees come off "pushy" because their paycheck and job depend on it. I agree that some get carried away and start adding on once they see that you will buy and I, too, don't like that. You can just see them rubbing their hands together wondering "What else can I show them?!" As a past employee and a long time tanner I agree with Jeffrey, their beds are nice, clean, and in good condition. The prices are reasonable but here is a hint....everything ALWAYS goes on sale. I would NEVER buy a lotion full price there. In fact, I wouldn't buy it at 25% off. You can always get at least 25% off from them. I would wait until it AT LEAST goes on a 30% off sale. You see, the lotions have such a huge mark up on them that even at 30% off they are still making good money off of you. Even better, have them explain to you which lotion you should get and go online and find it even cheaper than they will sell you at 50% off!! I also wouldn't ever do a walk in tan at the full price. $30 for the Sun Angel bed when it only costs the store 33 cents to use it, is ridiculous. I know the bed is awesome (it is the only one I will tan in) but I wouldn't pay $30 for one time. I always felt so bad charging someone that. Always get 50% off, buy a package, or get a membership....with that being said the memberships even go on sale. Often times you can get the $20 set up fee waived, 2 weeks free diamond, or a good deal on your first month. Sometimes you can even get the set up fee waived AND 2 weeks free diamond. Don't sign up for full price. Also, if you have someone to sign up with they do a buy one get one half off membership. Make sure to ask about it because often times it isn't mentioned. Bottom line....it is a great tanning salon if you can deal with always being hit with a "hey! look what our newest deal is today" every time you are in. Just say no thanks and tan. read more

This salon is spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and well-informed. You will not find a more customer friendly and knowledgable staff. I signed up for the most expensive monthly pass and spent a lot of money on product as a direct result of the product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service orientation of the staff member working the front desk when I first visited this salon. While I don't tan regularly, I've paid for a monthly tanning salon pass for years and only switched to Palm Beach after moving. My one star rating is due to a single visit over a week ago, when I experienced the opposite of what I had grown accustomed to when visiting this salon. I was stunned by the condescending attitude of HEATHER, whose later phone call to me was shockingly even more condescending and embarrassing (for her). I assumed I would have an opportunity to communicate my disappointment by responding to the email survey that has been sent after every other visit. But "surprise!" I did not receive the email survey after this encounter. I can only assume, this is because HEATHER (as it turns out) is the manager. I also left my name and number with a staff member, who said I could speak with the District Manager...who never called. This public review may have been avoided had I had an opportunity to express my disappointment in a more private forum. So in a nutshell, unless you have the unfortunate experience of tanning when the manager is working, you will LOVE Palm Beach. But if HEATHER happens to be working when you arrive to tan, be prepared to stand your ground as the CUSTOMER, whose membership dues pay her salary. read more

I was a member here for over a year but in May I was talked into freezing my membership. When went back I paid over $60 on my membership freeze that they talked me into because I could use it on tanning. When I tried to use it they said it would cover one month and the rest of the money would turn into tanning dollars that I could only use for product. I don't mind rules but when I'm lied to so that they can charge my card every month then I have a problem. read more

I just joined, diamond member. It's very clean, love the beds. The only thing I was not happy about was I was told unlimited spray tans. The sales rep gives me what she recommended and then it cost me an extra $7 on top of the $100 I just spent. I would of liked to have it explained other stuff cost extra. read more

The hard "up-sell" of this place was so annoying, I couldn't believe how bad the girl was. I didn't want to open an account with them and that wasn't the answer that she wanted. I just wanted a half-dozen visits before leaving for Florida. Apparently that isn't an option at this tanning place. I ended up walking out half-way through her spiel on the "benefits" of opening an account. I don't open accounts online, and I certainly don't open accounts for "all of the money I'll save." If I'm already in an establishment, I don't expect to be sold something "better". I'm there ready to put money down, and all I felt like was that she wanted more of my money. No thank you. read more
