I've been getting spray tanned here for years and always have had a good result. I would like to brag on Kaylee and Abby at acworth location. My spray tan package expired not even 24 hours and I was not notified and had no idea. I asked if there was anyway I could still use it and they worked something out where it was extended even though it had already expired. I highly recommended Palm beach tan for great customer service and helpful employees. read more

I miss solar dimensions.. they have way better bed now I got thrown to palm beach tan some that tans almost everyday this company has a 24 hours tan so if you go to tan today at 3 pm and that is the only time you can tan then you want to tan the next day at the same time you can since you have to wait 24 hours between tan. It's not a Georgia law it a Texas law they hold this law because the main office is in teaxs.. so dumb so I can't tan every day and their beds don't even come close to Solar Dimension bed so now I'm paying the same price have to drive further can't tan every day around the same time and the best are way lower grade than solar dimensions.. I used to drive 10 mins further to go to Solar Dimensions because of the bad experiences at this palm beach tan, but since SD closed I thought would try this place again. Lorie (or Lauren?) happened to be up front when I go in to inquire about the $14.95 monthly tanning. She was kinda cold from the start (no hello, how are you, how can I help you) but no big deal... what she did find time for was trying to up-sale me to do a more expensive package than what I went in for. So, I'm a sales manager and I can appreciate the fact that tanning beds these days try to up-sale as part of their business strategy -- what I don't appreciate, and honesty would fire someone on the spot if one of my professional sales reps tried it, is dirty tactics like guilting someone into spending more, high pressure and then flat out down talking your own product in an effort to pressure the customer into buying the more expensive option. Certainly would not be ok with my sale rep up-selling (or trying to) by saying "the cheaper product is cheaper because it's linked to causing "The C Word" when in an industry that is being taxed higher for its link to causing cancer. Seriously--how can threatening if you choose that package you will be more likely to get cancer be beneficial to business? So the full story: After looking thru the options, asking questions and hearing her feedback, I opted for the $14.95 a month package that I went in for. She tells me I'm happy to sign you up for it, but there is also a $20 signing fee that I can't waive...I didn't ask to waive it, but this rep saying "I can't waive it" without being asked, kinda gave away the fact that she can waive it, lol! I say ok, still want it. She then tells me you're going to regret signing up for this, it's just a waste of money. Even though I said "it's ok, I'm not sure I'm going to even stick with tanning, if I do I'll upgrade but want to do this today". Instead of letting me move forward with my purchase she tells me everything bad about the beds: these beds require 20 mins while others are 8 or 12 mins, and even then the beds at this level only use UVB rays and will burn you but not tan you so 20 mins and won't get good color..... and more reasons finally followed by: "these beds are really not as good for you and are the beds that tie to the "C word". But if that's what you want." I respond by asking "so these beds cause CANCER but the others don't??" and she quickly says "shhh no, no, don't use that word, no one said the C word". What?! Are you seriously playing semantics -- it's clear you meant cancer -- and clear you did it to get me to buy the higher price bronzing level beds. So, frustrated after almost 10 mins of her unwillingness to sell me the product I selected, and her talking down to me in an attempt to bully me into spending more, then flat out saying the product I was about to buy "is linked to the C word"... I finally ask "if this level of bed is so bad, then why does Palm Beach Tan even offer them to their clients?" She back peddles and says well they are "ok for some situations" like if someone is needing to build a little base color over a LONG period like a month or more, but not good for you (btw, I have light skin, NO tan... so yes, a base tan is what I need -- and the website specifically says this is the level I should use to build a tan THEN move to the bronzing beds at the higher levels... Oh, and I'm pushing 40 years old -- I know what a basic tanning bed does -- and I used to tan in my 20s when they only had ONE option which is the same level I'm trying to buy... "trying" being the key word!). Finally I said PLEASE just ring up the $14.95 deal that's what I want. She still holding my credit card says ok I just think you'll regret it, but ok... then says: so do you have tanning lotion? I say yes I do, don't need to buy any. She response -- "Well for this level bed we are required to confirm you actually have tanning lotion and can't let you tan without it, sorry but I need to see it." So I pull out my lotion which she proceeds to open, inspect it and smell it (not sure why, other than she had made this huge scene in front of me, other customers waiting and her younger coworkers so had to try to look "official" in her mandatory check of my tanning lotion). cancer. As I'm FINALLY walking to the bed, she's screaming behind me: even though you laid 8 mins (max time) in the stronger bed, policy is to only allow 6 min at this level because it's so dangerous. read more

Just called up to palm beach to ask a question about an email I received telling me I can sign up for this thing where it can text me & let me know when my 24 hours r up so I can tan again, so I called palm beach tan in Acworth about it & the girl has no idea how to do it . In her words she says " I haven't signed anyone up yet so I don't know how to do it " . Which makes me very mad . She should have been trained to know how . It's her job. Very disappointed & irritated bc no one seems to know what they are doing at palm beach. Need to hire better educated staff , or needs to educate them . read more

Don't do business with this company. They sell you "upgrades" that have an expiration date and don't tell you that they expire. Then if you want it fixed the manager has to be present. Every time you come in somebody is trying to sell you the next thing, it's not a good deal it's usually a scam. Unfortunately they're the only tanning salon in the area. I would advise anyone who checks reviews to look elsewhere. It's worth driving somewhere for a place with better business ethics. The girls are friendly but that's not enough to keep me as a customer. And I understand it's not their fault that the corporation pushes these programs.. but screw that. I'm over it. read more

I am new to tanning and wanted to get a little color with winter approaching, I went in on my break from work and the girl at the counter was so friendly and very informative. She gave me a tour of the salon, it is huge and very pretty! It also smells really good and it's very clean. They have so many different packages you can choose from that can work with your financial situation at the time. I was able to get 3 products which included an extender, a body tanning lotion and one for my face, as well as a membership for a great price, it also came with some discounts.
