Tried this place randomly and it did not disappoint Came for a French tip gel pedicure... I am going to have to drive all the way out here for this again because this was the best/prettiest French tips I have ever got. The employee who did my pedicure took their time, even though it was close to closing. They cleaned my cuticles and shape my nails nicely. The French tips were painted to perfection. So pleased! I came here for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was greeted by Cindy, who was amazing! I spent the afternoon with Natalie. She did an amazing job with my gels, including the cutest design. I can't wait to go back. The facility is clean. There is an autoclave to clean all the tools and the spa pedicure chairs have a liner. Amazing! I was able to get in with Kelly for eyebrow touch up. I'll sum it up like this: clean, neat, sweet. If you're big on cleanliness, sanitation, and covid safety, you will appreciate Palace Nails. Of course, go during the week when there would be less people, but when it comes to masks, cleaning, and sanitized equipment, you'll be comfortable here. I also got the vibe that feedback was welcome if there had been anything that would have made me more comfortable or if I had not loved how my nails turned out- which I did. Also, in my 30 years of getting pedicures, I have never once been given the nail file, buffer, and pumice stone that was used on me to take home. As soon as Kelly gave me the things all bagged up to take with me, I wondered why all the dozens of nail shops I have been to in my lifetime never did this. You are assured that these are one use items (only on you), there is no waste in just throwing it away when you could use it yourself, and you leave with a goody bag. A win all around! But after my sister kept speaking highly of Cindy, I gave it a shot. She's very bubbly, detailed, and proficient in her work. I was really excited to try this place out based on all the other reviews pictures but when I asked for a simple French tip + design, I did not get what I was expecting at all. I wish I would have gotten the woman's name who did my nails but I was too nervous. She took her time to do my nails but the French tip just came out uneven and the design I asked for looked like I did it myself. When I asked for the design I made it clear that it's okay if she can't do it and I wish she would have just been honest and told me the design was out of her expertise level. In the end, the paint on one of my nails had obvious bubbles and when I politely asked her to fix it, she tried to buff it out but that didn't help. I went in for a regular manicure/pedicure, paid $50, went home, and 30 hours or less my nails are chipping. I noticed that the top edges were not painted, so in 2 more days my $50 nails will look like $5 nails. I gave it 2 stars because the lady was nice. I've never waited more than ten minutes anywhere for the minimal service I was having done. It was also more expensive then I'm used to paying- at the same quality of work. They fixed the length and texture of my no so perfect full set I had done elsewhere. I used to frequent Posh Nails on Woodley and Victory because I absolutely loved the owner Lisa and her sweet husband. Although their nail salon was small and there was also a wait, they were incredibly attentive and friendly and did a wonderful job. The last time I went I was surprised to find out they had sold Posh. Since then things haven't been the same. The only time i've gotten my nails done is if I have a window on the Westside as none of the nail shops I had tried in the valley were up to par with Posh. Last Saturday I took my chances with Palace Nails. Turns out, the old owners of Posh own Palace now! Palace is not only bigger, but their staff has grown! My daughter and I arrived on a Saturday morning and we were immediately seated. My five year old was very picky in her choice of polish..with a different color polish for each nail. They were very accommodating and sweet. They also did a wonderful job on my feet and nails and the prices are very reasonable. $25 for a mani pedi. $5 dollars for my little ones polish (they also cut and filed her little piggies). I will definitely back. It's just up the street from me and there is ample parking. read more
