Just a quick trick though if you book through Expedia which is a bit cheaper you would be put in a different level or you can't request the level you want like I prefer no stairs and they weren't able to accommodate that they wanted me to cancel the Expedia booking and book through their website so they can accommodate my request. Which really sucks. The activities were fun we weren't able to do the mini golf but the package we had was the Alpine Slide and the zipline both of which were awesome. They do have a lot more activities they do have like a what boat tour Segway tour they do have biking as well. I definitely made a good decision of going Saturday night and staying until Monday the rides the zipline in the Alpine Slide specifically had a really long line after 12:00 and it's at least a 2-hour wait for each. Will definitely be coming back and this is a must go to place. Happy playing!

We overlooked the Mississippi from our stay in Betsy's Room in the White House, and from the robes to the clawfoot tub, there was an ideal combination of charm and cleanliness. Marie had called us in the early afternoon to confirm details of our arrival, and everything was straightforward and hassle-free. Our 9:00 family-style breakfast in the morning was just wonderful! (I know I sound like I'm glowing, but it's only because we were just constantly pleased!) The fruit, French toast, and sausage were all fresh (and plentiful), and the freshly whipped cream was a happy asset for both toast and coffee. We had a hot 90 degree day but inside there's central air, plus a window unit, a ceiling fan and additional tabletop fan if needed. Needless to say, we were totally comfortable. Our room also had a free-standing tub, which is unique to us. You may not like that part if you're claustrophobic, because you're totally enveloped in its graceful, pretty shower curtain... just an fyi. Definitely added to the charm, though. Also, if you're used to a king bed, like we are, this bed might feel a bit snug. Again, just fyi. The B&B is very conventionally located to town, just a few minutes walk. Make sure you bring your walking legs for the hills though ;) As with the whole area. Breakfasts were filling and delicious. Cookies and candies are always available, too. Lovely ambiance of jazz always playing seems comforting in so many ways. The hostess ate breakfast with me and helped me with photos, directions, advise. She was sincerely lovely. They went out of their way to help me in my travels. Epic hosts, food, complimentary drinks. I have never been to a place this unique. Usually you worry about small things at hotels bc they are so sterile. Here its like staying at your grandparents house or favorite aunt and uncles. I suggest this location to people who love the wholesome things in life without the upper scale crust lingering on your permanent white pillowcases. You don't need to worry about that here. (I would not suggest this to people with serious allergies or extreme standards.) Everything felt comfortable and relaxing. I love it! And I will continue to come back. Best bed and breakfast! Breakfast was great, as were the home baked treats that could be found throughout the day. The bad: there was only wine and soda in the fridge. No ice and no water. The common areas were cluttered. I don't care to stay someplace and see piles of junk on the floor. I stepped into the kitchen at one point to look for some ice for my tea and the cleanliness of the kitchen was very questionable. Food had been left out of the fridge on the counter, and it was the middle of the day. Against my better judgement I DID have breakfast the next day and I haven't gotten sick, so there IS that! The ugly: I am very sensitive to smells and there was a heavy presence of cat urine. I just couldn't escape it. i never saw a cat, but I sure did smell it! The curtains in our room were falling apart and they were all water stained. I could look past all of that, but when I discovered what the pillows looked like I was done and we left a day early. The pillows were not encased in a protective cover before they were placed in a pillowcase and they were all stained and disgusting, one even had a hole in it. Even that didn't phase me too much, but when I helped myself to a pillow case that I found in the hall closet it looked like there was a booger on it and I just lost it. We were not given any kind of hassle when we checked out early and it would be my guess that we were not the first. As others have mentioned the outside looked like something out of a horror movie, but I obviously wasn't put off by it as we did check in. According to past reviews the renovation of the front porch has been going on for YEARS, and it looks pretty trashy. If you don't mind all that I mentioned, by all means stay, but I will not stay again. If you can get past the cat smell and the disgusting pillows and the dirty kitchen, it IS a beautiful B&B. I need to note that it took me a long time to write this review. It really IS beautiful, and the owners really are lovely people, but I just couldn't not say something. Had everyone else that has written reviews been totally honest, I probably would not have stayed there. This place could be SO much better with a little more care.

Galena is part of the driftless area which was missed by the glaciers 10,000 years ago leaving limestone bluffs and rock outcrops that make it look like Montana. The wildlife is incredible there. We stayed in a villa that backed up to the woods with a huge variety of birds. The villa we stayed in was clean and tastefully decorated with local nature photos. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly during our stay. We did not try the food or lounges only because we had brought groceries with us. I attached a few pictures of the wildlife to illustrate the beauty of the area. We highly recommend Eagle Ridge!

We've come to Eagle Ridge every fall for the last 4 years and this will be our last. We had to…read morewait to check in because "housekeeping" wasn't done. But our room clearly hadn't been cleaned in days and was full of fruit flies and spider. The front desk "manager" Ava was extremely rude and way out of line in terms of customer service. Ruined what was supposed to be an anniversary getaway. there are plenty of other golf adventures and we will take our money and our outings there.
