Pak Mail - Store front - Shipping Centers Near Me - Montclair, Virginia

I've been using Pacmail as a UPS drop-off location for several months without issue. However, yesterday when I dropped off a package, it never scanned into the system. This morning I discovered the package is still showing as label created with no movement. The lack of accountability and the missing package has left me very concerned. I would not recommend this location until they can explain what happened to my package. read more

I've been using this location for about a year and a half with a private mailbox there and while the previous ownership the service was so-so, the new owner (in the past 6 months or so?) is great and customer service has gotten better and better with their hours (being open when they say they are) and friendly demeanor - help with packages etc. very happy with the location and the employees there now. I have been using Pak Mail for several years now. I was not very pleased with the service, and the overall atmosphere until Alex started working there, and taking a role as Supervisor. No matter how busy it gets, he always greets you with a smile and genuinely speaks to you with a true concern to help, aid, and assist you. I recently came in to take care of a sensitive mater, and he was able to provide me with what was needed and took care of it in a manner of professionalism, and a personal touch. While I no longer have a mailbox there, I will always come to Pak Mail before going to a US Postal office. They simple seem to care. read more

I mailed my package off from this Pak Mail location in Montclair, VA via Fedex on 18 March 22 with a scheduled delivery date of end day, 21 March 22 however, it didn't get sent out with FedEx until 5:20 pm today according the FedEx tracking number. I called up to this Pak Mail location this morning and the associate told me ALL packages went out last Friday and Saturday! However that was obviously impossible if my package just went out at 5:20 pm today, as alluded to above? I guess I caught you all in a lie which is some sheisty business pratices. I should file a complaint with the BBB but I am sure your not registered with them. I called up to your location at 5:35 pm today again once I received the FedEx tracking update and your associate said the package failed to go out on Friday and Saturday. If that is so.....why???? I paid your Pak Mail location and FedEx over $37 to get it delivered today and it didn't even go out until today. Your associate stated that there is nothing he do for me! How about refund at least your fees for failing to mail my package on-time? I will never use your establishment again. I will also ensure I provide negative reviews with your location across all social media platforms and review websites as well spreading word of mouth with everyone I know about this negative experience. So, really pretty angry- minor but annoying. I'm returning a small item and the vendor sent me a prepaid Fed Ex label. I call Pac Mail and ask if I can drop it off there with the label. The guy says yes. I ask if I should pack it in my own box and the guy says, "We can put it in a box." I ask if there is a charge for the box since I have plenty of my own boxes and he says, "No, we won't charge you for the box." Sure enough, I drive 20 minutes to get there, give the woman at the counter the label and item, she packs it up, and tells me I owe $3.20 for the box. Total bait and switch! I could have dropped this off anywhere with my own box but I got burned by going to these guys. I understand that small businesses have to make money but honor your verbal commitments instead of nickeling and dimeing customers. read more

I walked in at 5:50 and stood in front of a counter waiting. The person on staff kept avoiding me, walking around the room, but not doing anything. When the clock struck 6, he told me he can't help me. He purposely made me wait for 10 minutes not speaking to me so he would not have to help. He also stopped a person from finishing the copies he was helping her with, saying now that it was 6 she had to stop the job mid-job. This was probably a good thing since he had made her copies crooked when he started the job anyway! Just drive a mile down to the UPS store at Fortuna Plaza for cheaper prices and better service! read more

They tried to RIP me off, steal my money. I was mailing a boxed product less than 5 lbs, worth $40. We understood shipping would be $14.99. After we paid by debit, we had to ask for the receipt since he never offered one. (Nor was there a screen on the debit machine or register to show the charges.) He charged me almost $55! I went off and demanded a refund ... they said all sales are final and he can refund everything except the 10% transaction fee. Wont have to worry about my patronage anymore. Suggest you just go to USPS FedEx, UPS and get the service and pricing you expect. I ended up going to the post office and doing it for $15. read more

Received good services yesterday. The owner graciously waited for me to arrive so I could get my much needed item returned. I thought the item was supposed to be sent back via UPS, very mistaken late on Saturday, all the post office windows was now closed. My package was taken and scanned. Shocked that I paid $17.25 to ship a package to New York. This package contained 2 pairs of toddler sandals! I didn't know the price until after he charged my credit card. I paid $17.25 for a box and shipping?! Unless your dropping off a package for pickup I would say go to the post office to ship. Clearing out a storage space in DC and moving over 200lbs of large items to Hawaii cold have proven very difficult. When you live in Hawaii you know you're gonna pay a lot to ship. The owner of this establishment always took time for my calls, even before I was a customer. I did my due diligence and called around before tackling this job. Many quoted me with longer shipping times and at least 30% higher costs, beware the impersonators. This shipper is the real deal, my items handled with care and delivered affordably and in good condition. The owner is a fair business man and a good family man as well, I highly recommend using this service. read more

Worst experience of my life. I was shipping a hand gun and brought the gun inside the store in the original carrying case it comes with. He sticks the label directly on the case and told me I was all good. I told him the case opens really easy and it should be put in a box. Then he took two large envelopes and puts them on the ends of the case. I asked if he was sure it would ship like that? He again told me yep you are all good. I told him I would be much more comfortable if the gun was shipped in a box. He finally said ok and got a box that was huge. I told him I don't need packing materials around the carrying case so a small box would be fine. He took everything in the back room and said ok you all good. I really hope my package arrives and all together. I'm calling fedex to let them know what happened as well. Do not go here! He clearly has so idea what he is doing. read more

Worst service ever - do not use them - if you do use them, please GET A RECEIPT so you can track the package or file a claim.

Wonderful experience. I needed to fax documents and Mofied was extremely pleasant and helpful. It's not the closest shipping service to my home but I will take the extra time to go back for any of my shipping needs in the future. Fantastic read more
