Our waitress was very nice and kept an eye on us as we melted. They are known for the speciality cocktails, but those also come with specialty prices. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink that was good but became warm almost instantly and was nearly $17. The hotel was hosting a dog adoption event that Tito's Vodka was also partnering with in 54thirty. It was nice to be able to duck into the corridor to see what the adoption event was all about and also get some cooler air. You do get a good view of the city and of the convention center so that is what you're paying for.

This visit was all about the cocktails, and Seven Grand absolutely delivered. Josh, our bartender, was running the room like a conductor leading an orchestra of happy whiskey drinkers. He asked what we liked, made a couple of recommendations for Old Fashioneds based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. Every drink was balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. The guy knows his whiskey, knows his cocktails, and somehow still manages to make everyone at the bar feel like they're his only customer.
