We hired them to stain our newly installed fence. We wanted a clear, transparent stain because we love the look of the wood. They did an amazing job - great communication, showed up on time, completed the job without any mess (you wouldn't even know they were there). Very highly recommend!

They were able to match the paint and make our outside wall look like new. I felt that they went above and beyond by getting to hard to reach areas and we are very satisfied with their work. We especially appreciated that Hugo came back the next day to touch up a few things that we had noticed. Both him and Jose were great! They also charge a fair price for their service. They also did some interior painting work and they did a great job there as well. They are very professional and talented in their craft. Would use them again for any painting needs we have!

Unprofessional, careless, and combative…read more I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your painting needs. Working with this company was a stressful experience from start to finish. Poor Communication & Absent Management: Communication across the board--with both the owner, Ibsan, and his crew--was frustrating. I was asked for my color choices probably 10 times and Ibsan and his crew kept threatening extra charges for finishes that were explicitly included in their original quote. Messy Worksite & Property Damage: Throughout the entire project, the crew constantly left our property in disarray, scattering tools, paint cans, and trash across our front, back, and side yards. They also damaged our attic vents and refused to take responsibility, claiming the damage was pre-existing. The crew also never fully cleaned up--I still have tons of paint chips and paint drops everywhere. Complete Disregard for Property Protection: I specifically emphasized how important it was to properly block off the soffit vents over my garage, as I store a lot of items in it alongside a brand new vehicle. All they did was cover them with a thin layer of masking tape, which blew right off during pressure washing. Instead of stopping to fix it, Hugo, the foreman, kept right on power washing directly into the open vents and shrugged it off when I brought it to his attention. My car and everything stored in the garage were covered with dirty sludge which will take me me days to clean. Sloppy Workmanship & Cut Corners: While they did an excellent job on stucco patching and prep, basic surface prep like scraping and sanding elsewhere else was really inconsistent, leaving an uneven finish in several areas. Even on day 1, the crew wasn't even planning to use a commercial mold remover despite visible mold present. Hugo argued with me, as he did throughout the entire project; while Ibsan agreed to handle it, he simply returned with a small spray bottle of consumer-grade cleaner you can get at Safeway and they only bothered to treat my rain gutters. Gaslighting & Constant Pushback: Whenever I pointed out a clear mistake either in prep or painting, the crew always said, "it was like that, you just didn't notice it before" so I had to show them "before" photos proving otherwise and then they begrudgingly corrected the mistake. Getting basic issues addressed required pressing them repeatedly. Hugo tried to convince me that I should "just trust the professional painter" and spent three days arguing to leave an unmasked, un-prepped window frame they accidentally painted--an issue that ultimately took just 5 minutes to clean. Hugo said, "well it's worth trying." Ignoring Instructions & Insubordination: The most absurd moment of the entire job happened on our porch. While applying a specialized product Ibsan admitted they had never used before, Hugo and I discussed the plan earlier in the day, which called for a 4-hour dry time between coats per the label instructions. Yet just an hour after he applied it, he started applying a second coat anyway. When I caught this and directly asked him to stop, he completely ignored my instructions, feeding me some nonsense line about "letting the product talk to him"--clearly rushing to finish the job so they wouldn't have to return the next day as discussed. He refused to stop working on my own property and literally kept painting right in front of me until I had to call Ibsan to intervene. It was completely mind-boggling and if Ibsan hadn't answered, my next call was to the police. To cap it all off, after that major altercation with Hugo, Ibsan promised to call the next day to address what had happened, but clearly didn't care enough to do so. To be fair, the end result looks good as long as you don't get too close, but there were much cheaper bids that would have accomplished the same thing with a lot less stress. If you're not willing to constantly fight and push for what you want, avoid them entirely. Save yourself the headache and hire a team that respects you, your home, your contract, and basic professional standards.

One thing we really appreciated was their attention to detail. We had our garage doors replaced around the same time, and Ramon helped us choose and match the trim color so everything would coordinate beautifully. He was helpful throughout the process and made sure the colors came together the way we envisioned. The crew also did a great job with the preparation and paid close attention to the details, especially around the trim and other areas where clean lines really matter. They worked hard, kept the work area organized, and cleaned up afterward. Communication was easy, and we always felt comfortable reaching out with questions. Exterior painting is a significant investment, but we truly believe you get what you pay for when it comes to quality workmanship. We wanted the job done correctly and wanted a finished product we would be proud of, and that's exactly what we got. Our home looks completely refreshed, and love coming home to our freshly painted house.

From Aug 22nd to Aug 24th, I consulted with three independent painters. All three independently…read moretold me that the method used to remove the wallpaper was not appropriate. They explained that applying primer over the remaining wallpaper backing paper can seal it and the adhesive underneath, making proper removal significantly more difficult. I was also told that, in the worst-case scenario, portions of the drywall may need to be removed and replaced if the backing paper and adhesive cannot be removed without damaging the drywall. To respond to the Color Pro Inc. owner's comment: He sent me a refund offer the next day (Aug. 20th) and acknowledged that I had paid a total of $20,000 under the interior and exterior contracts ($10,000 for each, respectively). The exterior painting had not started. He offered to refund $13,800 while retaining $6,200 for what he described as materials, labor, preparation, and drywall subcontractor costs for interior painting work. Regarding the interior work, the work performed by his crew was essentially to peel off the vinyl layer of the wallpaper and apply primer over the remaining backing paper and adhesive, which was again an inappropriate method for wallpaper removal. In addition, the drywall company owner who was on site on the morning of Aug. 19th told me that the walls were not ready for retexturing. The proposed refund was conditioned on my signing a written settlement agreement releasing all claims arising from the project and termination of the agreements. I have retained the written correspondence documenting this offer. Since the matter is currently under review through my legal service, I am not planning to disclose the email itself. In addition, although the house is large, the interior painting contract covers only the walls and approximately 20% of the ceilings. There are no particularly tall walls except in the stairway area. I can provide detailed measurements later to clarify the actual scope of the interior painting work if needed.

Since they had to match paint I had already used, I was especially impressed with how well they matched it. They worked quickly but did a really careful job. Our house has a lot of windows, and they did an excellent job with clean, sharp lines around all of them. We also have very thick stucco texture, and I was worried the paint wouldn't cover evenly, but they did a great job--the coverage looks very even and professional. They also made sure I was completely happy with the finished job. I would definitely recommend Guacamaya Painting Inc!

They were recommended by our very good friends that just had them paint their whole house and they were very happy. I called them Monday morning and Pete came out the same day and gave me a quote on the spot, and I said "yes let's do it, when can you start?" He says how about this Wednesday. Woah that was easy! I had already received 2 other estimates from other painters on Yelp, so I was ready to get started. So the guys show up at 8am on Wednesday and start priming the wood. They worked from 8am til 5pm on Wednesday and Thursday, then finished the job at noon on Friday. Nice! The color was perfect and they give a one year guarantee so if it needs some touch up, Pete says they will come back and do the touch up. Good price and excellent workmanship. Like I said, I highly recommend.

We got quotes from three firms total and Nstyle's was the lowest but they had the best reviews on Yelp so we decided to go with them, and those reviews proved true. We started with a small job to paint a bedroom and closet inside the house, which would have a white ceiling and dark walls. Fernando did it beautifully with "crispy" sharp lines where the two colors met and a smooth, flawless finish all around. When it came time to paint the exterior, Fernando as well as the rest of the NStyle crew did an awesome job with excellent attention to detail. They even worked weekends to be sure our job was finished before a new gutter install happened. Throughout the multi-step project, Nick, the owner, was easy to communicate with and took any feedback or requests we had in stride. At one point, the trim color was partway done but we realized it wasn't the right color ... even though Nick's team had already painted a swatch for us to approve; it just looked different in the afternoon sun. So I texted Nick about it, on Labor Day weekend, and he arranged to get a swatch of the new color painted as soon as Sherwin Williams opened and we were back on track (with no extra charges). The paint job looks gorgeous and I'm in love with my house again, thanks to NStyle. I'll have them back anytime I need some painting done; they're that good.
