Complete repaint of the outside of our 1956 single-level "snout house" rancher house in Santa Clara. We selected Manny's Pro Paining based on a recommendation but closely evaluated his walk-through, questions, answers and final estimates as we previously rejected two other bids. The work included some carpentry replacement, including switching from vertical to horizontal external panels, and expected some additional work based on what is uncovered after power washing and panel replacement. Jose was very responsive, helpful, clear, and delivered on-time, on-budget a very satisfying work despite some rain and scope creep (the panel replacement). He advised against spending more than necessary when relevant, but always left it to us for our final decision. His workers were conscientious and exceedingly clean. I have to admit, when the Manny's Pro Team wrapped up the job, we were sad to see them go. Not only did they do an absolutely fantastic job painting the exterior of our home, they were fun to have around! We had three contractors provide us with estimates and it was an easy choice to select Jose (Manny). Our house exterior was in sad shape primarily from the lack of prep the last time it was painted. Peeling paint, warped trim and rot from water damage due to improper sealing. Manny is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. We got a few quotes for some touch up work and painting the entire interior of our home and Manny came out 2 separate times to give accurate quotes and explain exactly the work he wanted to do. His team came every day on time and did a phenomenal job covering up everything else and removing fixtures and lights to make sure it was protected from paint. Manny uses premium paint, there is no smell to give me a headache. I even asked for air purifying paint for my son's nursery and he was happy to do it. He was wonderful to work with, low key, easy to talk to, and provided what turned out to be great suggestions. When his team showed up they were wonderful. As they did the work we had a number of questions - they were able to provide great options and advice. They went the extra mile willingly doing extra little things that were super helpful to us. I'm not a painter, but I'd guess the job is perfect, flawless. We just remodeled our entire house in Palo Alto. We started with a very well known paint company and were not happy with their attention to detail. Our contractor recommended Manny's and we could not be more pleased. To start, Manny spent time and really listened to what our.concerns were and what we wanted. They are meticulous in their preparation prior to painting. Everything is professionally taped off and covered. All floors were papered, areas not being painted were sealed. We had very expensive custom cabinetry in the living room. Everything was dismantled, sanded, primed, painted flawlessly. The difficult mouldings we installed were perfectly done. The crew even came out on Saturday to finish it all up so we could stay on time with the project.
