Watch out for a heavy restocking fee on returns!!! I am a…read morehome owner and purchased some wood at this place for the flooring and stair work based on the recommendation by my contractor. The place has good selection of lumbar and they can order if necessary and deliver them really fast. I worked with Chris and he is really nice! I ordered lot of items for some good amount. However, the contractor, who I let go for being sloppy, didn't advise properly on one expensive item and I had to return it, still in original condition and packaged. I was hit with a 25% restocking fee. The problem is 1) There was no mention of restocking fee when I purchased. They should make the customers aware of this when its so hefty! 2) When I was obviously upset about the restocking fee and mentioned I need to think about ordering in future from this store, while Chris was sensible and apologetic and mentioned it was the manufacturer who enforces the fee, there was this other guy who immediately started talking nasty, saying this like "we cannot eat the cost because of your mistake" and "don't think you understand" etc. The guy probably doesn't know how to talk to and be sensitive when dealing with home owners. While it sure is a good lumbar place, they need to learn how to be upfront about the fees involved and how to behave with customers, who are not pros and contractors.

I am a bit of a paint snob and I only buy Benjamin Moore. This is my go to place for any of their…read morelines. I usually buy the Natura Line as there is no smell at all. Their paint is excellent quality and the guys here are knowledgable and helpful. The paint is more expensive than Home Depot, but you get what you pay for: better customer service and better quality. Keep in mind that you can't return custom colors, but they may be able to change the color if what you purchased is not working for you. They also sell a lot of other paint supplies if you need anything else other than paint. Sometimes you get lucky and they have a sale!

We used to order days in advance and sometimes you'd still wait for it when you thought it was just a pick up. That being said, Brian is like a mad chemist, there is a method to the madness. There is a reason his many customers are loyal to this day. He is undoubtedly the best paint color matcher in the tri-state area. His knowledge of old school methods and doing it the RIGHT way the first time is bar none what the paint industry has forgotten with their chain like mentality. As a homeowner, advice is paramount, you can waste time and money if you can't get the right product first and best. Angelo helped me out in a major way with my 96 year old house's original trim, saved me hundreds and also most importantly helped me save the day at home when we had to replace moldings and casings for our doors and walls, we wanted to keep it original, and there were many walls that had incorrect trim. Lo and behold Angelo found the exact vintage router bit, set up his table and cut us exact replicas of our home's baseboards and casings and our DIY home renovation has some serious class. Angelo has been amazing with the know how and solid advice for someone who doesn't do this for a living.
