Their paint is excellent quality and the guys here are knowledgable and helpful. The paint is more expensive than Home Depot, but you get what you pay for: better customer service and better quality. Keep in mind that you can't return custom colors, but they may be able to change the color if what you purchased is not working for you. They also sell a lot of other paint supplies if you need anything else other than paint. Sometimes you get lucky and they have a sale!

However, due to some work in living room I needed different paint. I took a chip and went to Hone Depot to match. Came back and touched up and it wasn't close. I looked at the kitchen paint and saw the sticker from Painters Express. So I tried there. Although it was a small chip, the gentleman worked with me for several minutes to try and find a match. We found one that appeared close. I went home and used it and it was an exact match. If you look hard enough, you can see a slight difference but that's expected with new batches of paint and one on a wall from a few years. Fast forward to this Sunday. I needed to do some touchup upstairs. I thought it was the same brown as kitchen so I used that extra paint. It wasn't. It was so noticeable and looked horrible. I went to Painter's Express with a bigger chip (cut a piece from laundry room behind the washer). The kid used it to come up with a few possibilities. He got all 5-6 swatches and compared. We found 1 that looked really close. He mixed it. Then he painted a little on the swatch and tried with a hair dryer. It was exact. I came home and used it on the needed spots and it's not noticeable. It's an exact match. By taking the time to find these two matches, Painters Express saved me time and money. Thank you!!!

We were at self checkout and the employee asks how we were paying and sends us over to another checkout with a line and a cashier even though we were paying with credit. Then calls us back to come to a self checkout register where an older gentleman is finishing. Before the man could get his stuff back in his cart, she proceeds to tell me, here, go ahead here pointing to the register. Now let me just say, it's not like there was a line behind us that we were holding everyone up and I certainly wasn't going to rush the gentleman who was finishing taking his items off the register. She kept saying here until I said that I would wait for him to finish as I was not going to be rude and rush him. Another employee, Trish, I believe came over and was very nice and apologized for the rude employee.

Watch out for a heavy restocking fee on returns!!! I am a…read morehome owner and purchased some wood at this place for the flooring and stair work based on the recommendation by my contractor. The place has good selection of lumbar and they can order if necessary and deliver them really fast. I worked with Chris and he is really nice! I ordered lot of items for some good amount. However, the contractor, who I let go for being sloppy, didn't advise properly on one expensive item and I had to return it, still in original condition and packaged. I was hit with a 25% restocking fee. The problem is 1) There was no mention of restocking fee when I purchased. They should make the customers aware of this when its so hefty! 2) When I was obviously upset about the restocking fee and mentioned I need to think about ordering in future from this store, while Chris was sensible and apologetic and mentioned it was the manufacturer who enforces the fee, there was this other guy who immediately started talking nasty, saying this like "we cannot eat the cost because of your mistake" and "don't think you understand" etc. The guy probably doesn't know how to talk to and be sensitive when dealing with home owners. While it sure is a good lumbar place, they need to learn how to be upfront about the fees involved and how to behave with customers, who are not pros and contractors.
