Came to look for a new Christmas tree, didn't buy any here because they are expensive and nothing we really liked. We did make a few other purchases and went to stand on line to check out. We were at self checkout and the employee asks how we were paying and sends us over to another checkout with a line and a cashier even though we were paying with credit. Then calls us back to come to a self checkout register where an older gentleman is finishing. Before the man could get his stuff back in his cart, she proceeds to tell me, here, go ahead here pointing to the register. Now let me just say, it's not like there was a line behind us that we were holding everyone up and I certainly wasn't going to rush the gentleman who was finishing taking his items off the register. She kept saying here until I said that I would wait for him to finish as I was not going to be rude and rush him. Another employee, Trish, I believe came over and was very nice and apologized for the rude employee. read more

We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can. read more

I'd leave a 1/2 a star or negative star if I could. We ordered Masonite and Larson doors from Lowe's in East Brunswick for our front double doors in May, 2025. They were supposed to be ready within 6-8 weeks. With numerous weekly phone call to Lowe's we finally got them 3 1/3 months later. The day they were installed before the installers left we were on the phone with Lowe's. They were not aligned properly, they were rubbing against the door frame on top and there was a big gap on the bottom of the door and the door frame. There were also chips on the Masonite doors. The following morning we looked at the Larson doors (it was too dark when they left to really look at the outside doors) and they were scratched in many places. The bottom frame was scratched and dented. We called Lowe's immediately to let them know the state of the outside doors. Again numerous phone calls, sending pictures of the defects and talking to the customer service representatives, which changed monthly, 5 Months later they called to say they had our doors and could install them the end of February. It took them 5 months to get the same doors we ordered in May of 2025. When the installer's came that Friday morning they asked me a strange question. "What were we supposed to be having done?" I told them they were replacing the double Masonite doors inside and the double Larson doors outside. Simple. But nothing is simple with Lowe's. They sent the double Larson outside doors and only 1 inside Masonite door for our double doors. We called Lowe's and so did the installers. We talked to the store manager and customer service. The person that I spoke to the previous week was not known by anyone. As were the other people I have spoken to. So we get, again, a different person. We explain to whole issue to her. She read our file that seems to be on the computer but not everything is there. She was going to call and send the information to Masonite and get new doors reordered again. It should be straightforward. We then get a call on Monday from Lowe's customer service, the manager of Lowe's door department AND an email asking us to send pictures of the doors because they want to match the color of the door. The color of the door was NEVER the issue. There is no way I could make this up. We are still waiting to hear back from Lowe's as to what they are going to do to fix this. I have asked for our money back because they just can't seem to get the doors ordered properly. I'm tired of calling them repeatedly. 10 months later we still have damaged doors. And no help from them. I would love to get my money back and go to someone who will get this right on the first try. read more

I love going to home improvement stores. I like checking out the latest home gadgets and technology. 5 solid stars! We have been coming to this location here in East Brunswick for the last two decades. Always stellar customer service at the cashier and return department. Super helpful sales associates always ready to assist and answer any questions we have. They will never walk by you in the aisles without asking if you've found what you're looking for. We've had our old Kenmore Elite washer and dryer for 19 years now. The last two weeks our washer has been acting up. Each time I do a load, I pray that it doesn't explode. Today we had no choice but to get a new pair. After much research, I was set on a pair of LG's. As the sales associate was ringing us up, out of the corner of my eyes another LG model caught my attention. It was taller, more sleek...a piece of eye candy coated in Black Steel. I went over to look at it more closely. I decided to get this one instead. I was very happy with the price, special discount and delivery date. Whew!! If I can give zero stars I would. I bought a grill from this Lowe's, and it turned out to be horrible quality. When I went to the store, an employee Tamara told me to bring it back for a return today, so I went through the trouble of carrying the heavy grill to my car and hauling it to the store, only to be met with a rude supervisor named Henry and Jonathan who refused to take it. He had no explanation, no regard for my time or effort, and acted like he didn't care at all. Why was I told to bring it back in the first place? And why was I treated so poorly when I arrived? This was hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Not only was the product low quality, but the staff's behavior was completely unacceptable. If you value your time, money, and sanity, shop elsewhere. Lowe's doesn't stand behind their products, and their staff clearly doesn't respect their customers. read more

Lowe's and the installer made a clusterfuck of this installation form the beginning. Let me be clear, I never wanted Lowe's to install in the first place I wanted to order the supplies and have the same contractor who installed my cabinets do the backsplash but I was absolutely assured that if ANYTHING went wrong, it was on Lowe's to fix it. The price quote was comparable, so we said ok. First, they ordered the wrong Schluter Strip. The installer shows up and can't work because they don't have all the materials. We actually asked them to reschedule for another day. They left, only to come back a few minutes later and tell my wife that they really do not want to lose the whole day of work, they will drive to another Lowe's and pick up the correct strips. He shows her what he will get and she says ok. They come back an hour and a half later with a completely different Schluter Strip that looks nothing like what we chose. She told him we didn't like it and he says, "well, I just drive 40 minutes each way and laid out $140 of my own money, and now you don't want it?" Totally guilting her. Then he told her if they don't get it done today, they don't know when they'll be able to come back and try again. So he put a pressure campaign on. When she still said no, he told her if we don't like it, they can use it for spacing to do the tiles and we can replace it with what we actually ordered after. So we say ok. They start putting it on the wall and it looks terrible. We have these modern marble tiles and these old, antique looking Schluter Strips. While they're still working, the installer tells us that they measured wrong and they aren't going to have enough tiles to finish the job. I run to Lowe's to pick up another box and Installation Services calls me. I tell the guy everything that's been going on that day and he says, "we will fix this for you!" I get back from the store, they do need two more strips of tiles, and we tell the guy we don't want these strips, that we need them replaced with what we ordered. He says ok, and tells me that as soon as they leave, if we aren't keeping these strips, I should take them down because once the grout hardens, they won't come off without damaging the tiles and they'd have to redo the whole job. I tell him no problem and as soon as they leave, I take off the strips we hate. I call Installation Services the next Tuesday to talk to the guy who said Lowe's would fix this for me, and speak to someone else who looks up all the notes and says the installer should be calling me within two days to schedule a finish to the job. I never hear anything in two days, so I call back again. This time, I'm told that the installer says they finished the job, that my wife approved the Schluter Strips we told them we didn't want and that if I want them to come back, I will have to pay. Plus, because I did what the installer told me to do and took off the Schluter Strips we didn't want before the grout hardened, I apparently voided the warrantee. The fact Lowe's didn't have the correct materials for the installer when they arrived: unprofessional. The fact the installer continually pressured and guilted my wife to not lose a whole day's work: unprofessional The fact the installer's measuring person measured wrong causing me to have to go buy another box of tiles while the installers were in my house: Unprofessional The fact Lowe's won't come back to finish the job we were assured was on them to finish to our satisfaction: Unprofessional To come back and finish the job would probably cost this multi-billion dollar company under $500. But instead, they are going to make my wife and me figure out another way to finish this job that should have been correct from the beginning. read more

The people that run this store are, at best, totally incompetent. They can't get the computers to work, orders for large appliances get canceled for unknown reasons, they have installers call to set up installation appointments even though there is no order. Totally exasperating experience- I highly suggest going to Home Depot. Avoid this crowd at all cost if you need an appliance, flooring, or anything more than a light bulb. Unfortunately, the problem starts with the sales person and goes all the way up through the ranks of customer service, product specialist (???) and management. Pathetic. read more

This looks like a typical Lowes, with lumber and roofing on one far end of the store and seasonal merchandise and plumbing on the other end. Maybe it was just me, but I ended up walking past a lot of floor displays for hinged showers. Has a separate semi-outdoor gardening section on the south side of the store. I bought Christmas Icicle Lights on 12/24/2023 to use they for New Years decorations. Some light bulbs were missing. 10 lights were not working. When I try to return them customer service manager told me that they dont accept returns on holidays items, even if they are broken. They also dont replace broken holiday items. They told me it's just the way Lowes operates. They can take your money selling you broken holiday items but they dont take responsibility for it. Very unprofessional . read more

They really need to teach the staff how to wear their masks and do something to enforce it. It's a shame that Lowes has lost a customer, whether they care or not. My husband and I went through HE** trying to get a door for our rental property. We went to Lowes and got the quote... the person who was supposed to come out and measure.. apparently measured incorrectly. When the contractor came to replace the door... he didn't check the measurements at all, instead, he ripped everything off, including the frame.. and THEN realized that he had the incorrect size door. In between CALL AFTER CALL AFTER CALL AFTER CALL to corporate... my husband wasting hours going to the store.. it took 4 MONTHS for them to rectify and replace the door. In the meantime, our tenants were doorless (bedroom) the whole time.. but, this wasn't any inconvenience to anyone. Oh, did I mention that during this time, since I paid for the door with a Lowes store card, we were being charged interest? After being on hold probably a total of 3 hours trying to get compensated for all of this nightmare, they finally made things right by refunding all of the money and interest spent in the interim. But, we had to fight a long battle to get that rectified. It's a shame that this has taken place, because we are new homeowners and still had a ton of business to give to this location. Shopping friendly although not much on household cleaning items. I do find it ironically funny that there's a commercial where the couple are looking for assistance on appliances and their echo for asking help lands them a guy from fertilizer. Pretty much what happened on my visit today. The guy was also rude and looked like helping me was a bother. So I bought the one thing in my cart and left deciding I'd rather go to home Depot. Where they at least help when you ask and not look like I'm bothering them. Although they do have a cool seasonal section. I will take my business elsewhere. a yr and a half ago, my husband and I found the fence we truly wanted and decided to go through Lowe's. The fence was over 20k to fence in .25 acre of property. Well...now the gate won't open properly. The hinges that were ordered were the wrong ones and we arent the ones who ordered it! We are now getting the run around because the supplier says it's Lowe's issue and Lowe's is saying it's the supplier issue. The contractor came out and said he's not going to tell Lowe's Clinton (the sales rep who ordered the fence) he messed up since he gets a lot of business through Clinton. Please save yourself a lot of frustration and do not get your fence through Lowe's!! read more

The associates have been good but delivery is a disaster. They blame it on the trucking company. The truck driver doesn't omit items from orders. Nor does he stay at the site until several thousand dollars of material is offloaded and checked. When something is missing, which is literally every order, the store says call XPO. XPO doesn't have doors or sheet rock, obviously, so they say call Lowe's. Scheduled deliveries get cancelled last minute routinely. Not the best situation for a deadline. read more

I was in there tonight to look for some bathroom tile. From the display, I could not see the amount of stock the store had in each type of tile. There were two employees nearby but both were doing something (not with another customer) and did not offer any assistance. When I approached Dave, he said hi and kept on working at his monitor. The employees are hard to find, and are unaware of where to find items. This store is dirty and the restrooms are atrocious, with puddles on the floor, and fecal matter on the toilets. My husband and I went to Lowe's to look at carpet for a bedroom and,eventually, stairs and a hall too. . We found what we wanted. We were told the room would be measured the next week and installed within 2 weeks after that. Well, the first week passed ; no one showed up. No one called . We called. We left messages. No call backs. The next week came and went as did the week after that. More calls by us, asking when they'd come to measure. It wasn't until the 4th week that someone came to measure. We were told that the carpet would probably be installed within a week. To make a long story short, no one came or called ; no one answered our calls. In the meantime, over these 4-5 weeks the mattress and tables sit jammed in our family room. The large tv table sits in our kitchen and our dining room table holds our 60 inch tv along with all the blankets, bed frame, clothes etc. We have to stay in our sons old bedroom. Our clothes, medicines etc., are spread from one room to another. We are going into week 3 or 4 since the room and stairs were measured We still could not get a call back. We anticipated that any day now we'd be back in our room . But no. Finally! A call today! Guess when they're going to install our carpets. The DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving!! The day when I cook for 16 people. I'm in tears. I'm considering asking my family to have thanksgiving on that Friday. Has anyone ever heard of any carpet company this inconsiderate ? If they had answered our calls ; given us explanations ? Maybe. But it's been 2 months since we were told we'd have our carpet in within, maybe 3 weeks. What can I do other than write a review to,hopefully, save some other person or couple from winding up like us. Go to a private company for carpet. If you have to go to a Lowe's or a Home Depot get them to sign something. It's unfair. It's rude. It's terrible customer service. Granted our country is in a bad situation with finding help today. So just moved to Jersey and wanted to remodel my small kitchen in my condo. I figured let me try Lowe's since I've been going there for other stuff. I went in the store looking for a few items by using the Loews App on my iPhone. When a worker is up on a lift moving boxes, they close off the 2 closest aisles to avoid customers getting hurt by falling items. The one item I wanted was in an aisle about to be roped off so a sales associate went out of his way to get me the item. I also had to ask for the location of items when that info wasn't available on the App. The sales associate walked me right to what I was looking for, and other employees on the floor said Hello as I walked up and down the aisles. Best of the two big boys. You get a higher quality product here in most categories. They also have great finance terms. I did my kitchen, windows and a front door with them. We had a major problem with the front door not being right. The manufacturer delivered the wrong door twice. The store manager did everything he could to make sure I was taken care of. He did a great job and showed that even a big company like this could have the customers best interests in mind. I will always go to them for my first quote on any large project. read more

They have everything you need from all areas of your home from lawn and garden, to kitchen, building supplies, to bathroom, cleaning supplies, lighting, appliances, tools, hardware, paint, flooring, etc. Whatever you need to get your house, condo, or apartment in order this is the place to go. Staff are very nice and professional. They even have a person whos only job is to greet you as you enter. You can ask he/she anything and that person will guide you to the right department. Purchased the Oklahoma Joe's grill a couple years back. Great grill when new. Gas, charcoal and a smoker in one. Problem is that when you need to replace parts or even a cover you can not get them from Lowe's or the manufacture. They only make and sell the grills thru Lowe's. Also rusts out quickly. If you are looking for an expensive grill that will last two seasons, this is the one for you. read more

I actually like Lowe's. It's a really fun store, with lots of different home appliances. The store sells paint, grills, and pretty much anything you can find at Home Depot. The store is moderately clean, and well organized, but to me the store is too large. Yes, I understand it needs to stock up, but the aisles, don't even get me started. The aisles aren't even formed in a straight line, unlike Home Depot, so it makes the experience more stressful. Why not just put all the number aisles in a straight line? staff is okay, but I don't really trust retail workers to help me, because you never know what type of service you get. I usually just put my thinking cap on, when I need help in retail stores. Pricing is very affordable, and to me cheaper and better quality than Home Depot. I actually could not finf the object that I was looking for, which I believe was some part of the grill at home I needed. I was able to find it at Home Depot for a more expensive price, which to me was a little bit of a letdown. However, at least I found what I needed at Home Depot. read more
