The staff is super knowledgeable, and friendly it does take a lot of time for them to get all the parts you need, so be ready to spend at least 30 minutes... but if you need any plumbing part and someone else doesn't have it, they probably have it. They carry press fitting, propex, they carry Quickfitting, they carry boiler parts, heaters, specialty fittings, tools, etc... brand names and generic. Prices are reasonable. The shop looks a bit rundown and unwelcoming but don't let that fool you, this is definitely a place you need to know if you do any kind of plumbing. Also full of pro plumbers that will also give you tips.

He was also able to repair a 50-year-old Magic Chef oven that no one else was able to fix. I highly recommend American Appliance Service and will use them again if needed!

The repair company who had previously serviced our laundry machinery very well now has a Yelp profile which indicates that honesty or customer service is no longer a priority. The stage was set for some further online digging, and those efforts unearthed American Appliance Service. I called Nicole last Wednesday, requesting an in-home check of the washer for Monday. Nicole was pleasant and business-like. However, in my book, four hour arrival windows indicate customer contempt, poor management or both. I wasn't happy with this "policy," but in fairness, having a relatively new, premium brand washer catastrophically fail was as much grief as I was willing to acknowledge at the time. John arrived about fifteen minutes before the end of the four hour block, but got busy immediately and gave every impression of knowing exactly what he was doing. After disassembling the washer down to the driveshaft the verdict was, unfortunately, quite clear. Low-grade Chinese "stainless steel" had corroded and worn to the point of stopping the machine. Further, the parts and labor to replace this driveshaft exceeded the cost of replacing the machine. Conversation with John indicated that he had just encountered the same problem with his home washer. Discussions of his experiences produced a "lesson learned;" it seems that whether the brand is Whirlpool/Maytag, General Electric/Haier or most of the popular labels, laundry machinery is now being built to the low standards of "planned obsolescence" (5-7 years, at best). While such practices with $400-$1,200 equipment are an absolute obscenity, the fault wasn't John's. We were charged only for the $75 house call, and went shopping for a replacement that evening. Located was an LG model with a direct-drive motor and ten year warranty-- hopefully we have better luck. John's diagnostic work was top-notch, and although we didn't have the opportunity to test his repair skills-- and hope that we won't have to for the next ten years-- American Appliance Service would be our preferred vendor.

we bought a washer and dryer 2 months ago from here. Customer service was always good, very nice…read more We had an issue with the washer and a tech went out and fixed it quickly. Recently the dryer stopped working, we called the store since it was still under the warranty. The woman who runs the store was helpful and offerent to give us a new dryer. Delivery was set up and on day of delivery, the guys told us they're not bringing in, that they weren't told to do that. That information wasn't shared with us prior to delivery, we took the door off so the guys can easily bring it in. The guys that delivered said they have to call the store to ask about it but instead drove off without saying anything. I called the store to speak to the woman and express my frustration. She told us that guys had somewhere else to go and wasn't going to pay for them to bring it inside and install. I didn't ask to install but to bring inside since we werent able to and if they didn't want to install, we could do it. Unfortunately she kept saying no they won't do it, she's not their boss, and can't tell them what to do. It was left outside on a rainy day. I explained my issue with that and i don't think it's good customer service especially since we were sold a dryer that only lasted two months. She then proceeded to get defensive and blamed us for breaking the dryer. That was even more frustrating and I told her that I won't be using her store any further and won't be able to give a good review and she then hung up the phone on me. It's a shame because up until today, they were great. The store was nice, had a good selection of items which even used, looked pretty new. I also need to replace our fridge, stove, microwave but will need to look for another store

Found out that he has more OCD about everything being perfect than I even did. I referred a couple of friends to him after and they all couldn't think me enough. They loved the way everything went from start to finish. Let me say another thing. My wife and I had my mother who was living with us towards the end of a terminal illness she had. Joe would call me every morning at work to let me know he was going upstairs to check on my mom. My mother absolutely loved his company! When I went to the showroom I was horribly distracted with knowing my mother was so sick and really couldn't focus. That's when Tracy took over and went above and beyond to help me pick out and design two different projects from start to finish. Look, I could go on for days about how everything went so perfectly, but i will end simply by saying I have never used a contractor even remotely as good as Joe, his team and Tracy were.

They are polite, respectful, and honorable people.. and from my experience they run this business the same way. They are willing to work with anyone. We had issues with the Town related to town politics (ie nothing he did wrong), for example, and he tirelessly partnered with us to figure it out. He kept every single vendor on track and the delays were minimal, usually related to things out of stock. He was often at the house, checking in with the vendors and workers to make sure everything was being executed to plan. When we found any minor thing that wasn't exactly how we wanted it, he came back and fixed it himself. he was available and honest and has an amazing eye for detail. I visited their location in Woodbridge once, and did all other contacts via phone or email. I now realize that they are so flexible that I could've done all interactions remotely without visiting their facility if I needed it, Danny Rivera and the entire team really worked with me and accommodated my requests. Thank you guys! That first contact in their facility was not very professional, the office was disorganized and it felt like a reunion of good old boys, whose humor doesn't really resonate with everyone, rather than a professional place for business. But all of that was erased and the some, by the flexibility, professional follow-through, attention to details, timely drop off and pick up of materials, respect for my property from the delivery guys, and perks that they threw in the deal along the way. In not even thirty minutes Doug Keenan returned my call saying he would be there by 4:30. He did come by 5:00 which wasn't a problem, went to the machine and as soon as he heard it he said that it was the clutch. Now I didn't know if that was correct or not but I was impressed with his knowledge about my Whirlpool, he gave me a price and said he needed to get the part but would return at 3:30 the next day which was Saturday. This time Doug was there exactly when he said he would be, he went into the basement saying he wouldn't be longer than an hour, it took him twenty minutes and my machine was fixed. I'm now doing my third load of laundry and am surprised how much quieter the machine runs. My wife and I had agreed with an amount we were willing to spend, his figure was within that amount. He was knowledgable about what needing repairing and was fast and neat in doing the job, he gave reasonable windows for his arrival. Our dishwasher has a quirk that I'd like taken care of, I'll be calling All About Appliances soon.
